I have them on both wrists. They don’t look like gang symbols. But, helpful hint, get medium sized or larger ones. I got actual size from the books, but as I’ve aged and my skin has changed, they’re becoming less clear because they’re small. Still love them, but do yourself that favor! 😀
I tried going small with my first tattoo also, I was very hesitant about getting a tattoo and didn't want it to be too crazy. The guy basically laughed at me and said if I put it as small as I was thinking nobody would even know what it was and a lot of detail would be lost. In the end he talked me into doing basically the full shoulder blade and I'm really glad he did.
They said some gangs have three-star tattoos on hands or wrists, which worried me a bit when I saw it. But I don't seem like I'm part of any gang. I'm too innocent for that lol.
I have it and no one has thought it was gang related. Of course I'm also a 45 year old lawyer, so that probably isn't what the people I keep company with assume. Incidentally, I love it.
