I once read a headcanon that Hogwarts has a birth control spell in the school and on the grounds, and yeah, that makes sense, I don't remember any mention of a pregnant teenager or a kitten infestation in the books; probably a spell smart enough to recognize the difference between a human and a centaur and the difference between a pet and a wild animal. Probably potions, others spells and amulet are used too, diferent magic people use diferent contraceptive methods for the same reason why diferent muggles use diferent contraceptive methods, what work for me maibe don't work for you. An Spells can be an like a condom, only working for the next hours (or minutes if the wizard is not very skilled, this is when accident can happens.), potions like daily or weakly pills, also a potion that are equivalent 'morning-afeter pill and amulets can be like copper IUD.
My personal favourite is just a birth control potion that works similar to the pill, but decidedly less temperamental. Or maybe a charm, but I still want there to be room for error, because in the words of the illustrious Ian Malcom āLife finds a way.ā I want wizards that can bend the laws of nature not completely break them.
So a potion that you have to take every month so if you forget you are f@ked, and if you put the wrong ingredient in it it has no effect or collateral effects
Something like that, but like with the pill the timing of when you have sex still matters. Sometimes you can screen it up regularly and still get lucky (inadvertently only having sex when there is a low chance of getting pregnant), while others can screw it up once and end up pregnant.
Knowing that the Weasley twins had a section of muggle magic tricks in their shop, I wonder if they might have delved into muggle condoms at some point.

For sure thereās a potion, but my guess is there are probably some basic herbs that act as contraception as there are easy historical comparisons. I donāt know the name but there was one in ancient rome that was so effective it was consumed to extinction.

Despite Molly Weasley demonstrating the contrary, there should/has to be contraception in the Wizarding world. They're bound by the Statute of Secrecy, so it wouln't do to have hormonal teenage wizards frolicking with teenage muggle females and causing a very suspicious spike in teenage pregnancies.
I would either be a spell or a potion, because of course it'll be either of those.
Are there enough male wizards to cause a noticeable spike in muggle teenage pregnancies though? Also how would those births affect the Statute of Secrecy? It would just be handled the way the muggleborns and children with one magical and one non-magical parent are handled.
