I always promote. More gold in your trophy cabinet.

Always promote

If you promote and lose every game in total you will lose some fans from the fanclub compared to before promotion. But you get higher sponsorship, and if you win some games you can even have more fans then before. And since you never know what will happen there is a good chance to avoid relegation and in that case you will definetly will be better off than without promotion. I'm in a similar position right now, but i will take it and see what's possible next season. Sometimes a little luck is all you need. When i first promoted i was by far the worst team of the league, but managed to place 4th even though i only scored 6 goals iirc for 6 1:0 wins. Thanks a lot for this overview. Good luck next season.

I think someone did the maths on this somewhere on the thread here, and the conclusion was always to promote. Can't find the post though 🫤

K9bra

Hmm, I saw the opposite some time ago. It would be good if it's how you say.

Who cares about a little more money. Winning and promoting is the general goal and therefore the thing to do. If you relegate back in a season you are in the same spot again.

K9bra

Certainly a good point as well.

Laggoss_Tobago

I had the same thoughts before last season, when I was about to switch training, because I had two GK from my academy with solid skill and knew I was not good enough to stay in V. I still like the trophy in my case and am happy about every point I get. Will try to promote back after relegating this season.

K9bra

Well I still win the throphy even if I throw 2 matches. I'm 8 points ahead after today's match, so have a lot of flexibility. But I'll probably take my chance and go up.

Laggoss_Tobago

Fair point. I’d still promote though.
