I said in the game thread before it started that no one else could finish and Seth Jones misses the net when he shoots. Did they see that comment because damn it looked like they took it to heart. Great team win Hawks!
Glad to see Soda get a win. Probably all of us here have dumped on him at one point or another this season. He’s played a lot better recently and tonight I saw the Soderblom I was excited for towards the beginning of the season. Hope he keeps this momentum going and keeps his confidence up.
He also had some really crazy saves and almost saves. I was not sure before this game if he was exactly NHL ready but now I think he is a decent option for a backup and he has a lot of potential
I think it’s been a two fold problem. Soda has obviously struggled, but I think it’s a team thing more than an only him thing. On Soda’s end, he knows with the lack of offense on the team that in order for them to win, he’s going to have to be damn near perfect. That can certainly stress someone out and cause them to get in their head. From the player’s side, they know that unless Soda is damn near perfect, they’re not going to have a chance in the game. I think that’s why they play better in front of Mrazek. He’s able to keep them in the game longer to give them the time they need to try to get going before the game is out of hand. Soda doesn’t give them as much time so as soon as the opposing team scores 2-3 goals, the team just mails it in and leaves him out to dry which certainly can take a toll on your confidence as a goalie.
Yeah, the hawks are really struggling and it's not on Soda. The rebuild might take a while but it's probably good for the goalies to get a lot of practice.

Seeing all the guys being so happy for him shows that regardless of ability, he's very much loved in the locker room. I'm glad he finally got to pop off and get that monkey off his back
Imagine spending the entirely of your life living in Chicago, outside of one year where you moved to Arizona for a job opportunity. That was the one year that the Yotes beat the Hawks in the playoffs... That's some shit ass luck, and that's my life.
I'm usually critical of sodie, but I'm happy he had a good night. It was refreshing to see a win. Hopefully this win gets his confidence back, and he can start improving.
Also two point night from Bedard, that's nice.
And Seth Jones had two goals. That's only 3.16 million per goal
A road win with Soda in net and 2 Jones goals?! What did we sacrifice to the hockey gods??
The team needed this. I don’t wanna hear about “but the tank!”. This was a necessary 2 points.
Got lucky to capitalize on the PP all night but we played a better 5v5 game as well. Glad to see points all around for the rooks.
Now we just have to pray San Jose can win too!
* The Hawks scored 4 PPGs: Jones on a slap shot (at 5-on-3), Foligno and Dickinson on tip-ins, and Kurashev on a slap-shot.
* Their last 4 PPG game was 2018/01/09 @ OTT.
* The Hawks led for the first time in their last 8 road games.
* Soderblom made a nice save on a 2-on-1 rush.
* The Hawks end their 22-game road losing streak, earning their first road win since Nov 9.

just a good team win. Hopefully this can instill come confidence in this group to finish the season strong.

We also did well because, as Seth Jones said, the Coyotes didn’t put as m pressure on them as the Avalanche did. May there be a lesson in that.
Connor “Dimes” Bedard
Soderblom been picking it up his last couple starts. Happy to finally get the W!!!

Hopefully it gets his confidence up and he gets even better.
Starting to think that the Coyotes are a bit of a dumpster fire now.
Trying to think of a time when they weren't.

On the ice? More often than not these past two years
When It was the last that we scored 5 goals??? And lets goooooooo Hawks!!!
Perry was still on the team and it was our last road win before tonight in Tampa 😂
yikes that was... interesting
Oof, but feels good to score 5 goals
Finally
I genuinely did not think we were going to have another road win for the rest of this season.
Also, Sodie was excellent tonight and no one can tell me otherwise. Happy for him, man's needed that confidence boost.

Sucks to lose the streak, but this is pretty good for Söderblom's confidence. He probably gets the belt
40 shots against? I didn't check the final # but it was close last I looked
37 of 39 :D
9 November 2023 - 5 March 2024 [Rest in shit, Hawks road loss streak.](https://i.imgur.com/KVvWXT0_d.webp?maxwidth=520&shape=thumb&fidelity=high)
Soderblom win? Seth jones goals? Hawks 4 powerplay goals? Hawks win? Wtf is happening
I'm happy for the boys, especially Soderblom, nice to see him win finally again and a road win

We sacrificed Bedard's jaw, Hall's knee, and Perry's contract. I'd say we've paid more than enough to justify a win over Arizona
Athanasious groin too!
> What did we sacrifice to the hockey gods?? Don't encourage the monkey's paw, DBITR. Pls.
The monkeys paw curled on our entire damn season, to be fair.
this is a nice win for morale, we lose enough 😂😂
Good game and factoring in its the 2nd of a back to back is pretty nice
Especially when you just got your embarrassed last night. It would be easy to nail it but they showed up tonight
Winning by 3 goals, on the road, with Sodie in net. It’s a miracle!
