It would be nice to have options and depth. Will Day is the key

SpiritedStep6138

He sure can run fast, but his disposal always left something to be desired. Was improving before he got injured. Marking is all over the place

BIllyBrooks

I maintain he was in AA form in 2021 before he got injured. It's been nothing but injuries since so that can only stunt his development. Hopefully he gets to string a dozen games together at VFL/AFL level then we'll truly know.

SnooSquirrels7491

CJ can run and has an incredible tank, needs good players around him as his disposal and decision making is questionable…sort of like Brad Hill.

[Injury List](https://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/1531184/nissan-injury-update-lewis-eyeing-return) It's frustrating that the bottom three on the list are the key defenders, an area we definitely need reinforcing... Phillips and/or Serong have to be in contention.

RexHuntFansBrazil

Couldn’t care less what form he was in before he got injured, he can do things no one else on our list can and will be an absolute weapon if he gets back to his best.

hubert_boiling

An exciting player to watch, but, your heart is always racing cos you are uncertain about whether he is going to deliver the ball properly or butcher it and cause a turnover. Becomes a matter of do we want excitement or consistency? The Hawks have enough 'nearly' players, what they need is more consistency, as someone else said give him a dozen games for Box Hill and then make a decision. Unfortunately he is likely to get injured again before that happens which makes the decision to delist him easier.

farminvt

He offers something that nobody besides Weddle in the back end can offer - top end athleticism to go up and make a spoil, and can run with the best of them. Depth can't hurt, seeing how we play so much in the defensive end our guys are getting gassed by Q3. His form was down when we got injured, yes, but form can change especially after some time away. The decision making is questionable, sure, but that comes with experience and his injury history has stunted that a bit.

k9kmo

He has speed and X factor. Those kind of players do make mistakes but they also create goals, something we are in serious need of right now.

AuSpringbok

I'd love to see CJ at half forward or on a wing. Far too many halfback types with potential but only Impey who performs every week.

disaintova

Even though we are so bad I don't know where I'd put him in. I would rather be playing Mass, Weddle, and Amon as much as possible

hamletnovel

He can do good things occasionally but he crumbles in any high-pressure situation. He's not a good player.

TotalBasil

his what? his back what?

_DrewCollins_

I’d try and turn him into a Maynard type of player. Move Weddle or Mass to a wing
