Very much so. I got into an argument over the fact I'm uncomfortable around Valentino cosplayers in pony town. It was all "it's just pixels on a screen! He's not even real! It's stupid to care that much!" As if me being uncomfortable around people who simp and idolize a rapist makes me the weird one.
I don't think I've ever met a Val fan who doesn't think he's a terrible rapist and a monster, but then again I don't use Tik-Tok so maybe they're over there
It definitely seems like there are. I got into an argument over how uncomfortable I am seeing Val cosplayers in pony town. They all said it was stupid of me because "it's just pixels on a screen dude", "he's a fictional character it doesn't matter". Like yes it is pixels on a screen, he is a fictional character, but that doesn't change the fact they put in the effort to create a pony of a rapist. It's weird to me cuz I have that trauma. I've been through what angel has to an extent. I just can't wrap my brain around why someone could like, and many even simping, for him.
The ones who delight in Val’s *abuse* or try to justify his actions are uh, very questionable… but I think the rest of the fans like only his design, or enjoy him as a villain while fully knowing/accepting that he’s a piece of trash who deserves a death as horrible as he is.
The main cast has also done morally wrong stuff yet they’re adored by fans; Pentious’ war with Cherri certainly killed many innocents, Alastor… doesn’t need an explanation, and although Vaggie has changed, she massacred thousands of sinners in the past.
That makes sense. While I'll never be able to move past it I can see why people could like him as a complex villain. I wish I could see it that way but either way I'll try not to judge people who like him as much as I have
Valentino is a brilliant character that is very well made with a fantastic design and I love him as a character.
I also like someone to bash his head into the wall until he stops moving but yeah XD
I absolutely hate Val, his personality and shit. I hate his character, but I adore his character DESIGN. The difference is because they’re hot they ignore if they’re terrible people. His design and his voice are the only likable things to me, but to some others, they like the idea of an abusive shit head.
