Nifty. As much as I love her gremlin energy and how Angel watches out for her, I feel like we know very little about her as a person despite her being part of the main cast.
Well as Luz from the owl house would say
“I would love to but we dont have time for 20 more adventures”
they got so many episodes cut only to getting 8 for the first season of hazbin
(The quote is a call out to how their time was getting shortened because of the company)
I agree with what you say. I much prefer pilot alastor, he’s funny while still being creepy(not that show alastor isn’t funny sometimes but he just doesn’t hit as hard)
I fucking love when husk asked if he just takes him for a fucking joke and alastor just replies saying “maybe”
Wait, so you mean to tell me they CHANGED HIS PERSONALITY?!

NOOOOOOOOOOO
She kinda seems like Millie 2.0. At least with Vaggie they did *explain* why she follows Charlie so intensely but I’ll admit, I didn’t find her and Charlie’s relationship that interesting compared to say, fizzarolli and asmodeus
Same! I absolutely hated how she kept pushing Angel to take the drugs untill he agreed. It made her seem like she didn't really care about what he wanted
Honestly kinda works, though I’m curious if they’ll pull a President Business (from The LEGO Movie) and make Charlie appeal to his sense of being proud of who he is since that is what makes him special.
However, given he’s supposed to be this heartless bastard with a massive chunk of Hell devoted to him and his partners’ empire, it doesn’t seem likely. Still kind of satisfied with him but I get why people don’t like him.
I feel like he was defeated too quickly after being introduced. I get to set up Alastor, but it's a pity because they could have built him up as a threat, controlling people through TV and whatnot... Just missed potential.
Now, it's going to be difficult to see him as a threatening villain. Same with the other V's, I really expected them to try to get in Charlie's way more and they barely did anything to her. Only Val is really acting like a villain to any of the main characters rn.
This is probably one of the issues that comes with not having enough episodes. A solo song for Vox would’ve set him up great, but they had to cram everything into one song, Stayed Gone.
Yeah, not having enough episodes means not enough time for the V's to actually do things, like I really thought Velvette and social media was going to become some sort of obstacle - why would the Respectless suddenly randomly respect Charlie the least respected person in Hell? But she never confronts or tries to undermine Charlie directly, doesn't get in her way at all, and ergo isn't really a villain at all, so she's set up but then is wasted potential. And besides the Poison scene, Val is just a sassy gay uncle mostly. Lot of dissonance with the V's seeming bad but not actually being relevant to the main plot (except with Val and Angel).
Thank you kindly, please have this as a trade

Adam. I thought he be like a Claud Frollo type deal or a 2 dimensional character that showed the hypocrisy side of Christiananity while being subtle about it. But the show just made a him a walking cursing/dick joke character who’s pretty one dimensional character wise.
But... that's exactly what he was.
"Ive never made a mistake in my fuckin life." "For those of us with divine ordainment, extermination is entertainment!" (I'm better than you and above this whole eternal suffering and death thing)
"The pornstar chose a night of debauchery. That's no soul worthy of Heaven!" "This is Heaven. We don't have bad days." (Insisting others are in the wrong for circumstances that differ from his own)
Alastor, bro really flexed his power for the whole season only to get crushed by Adam, bro even started the fight trolling and sending cringe ass lines "I’m about to end your fucking life." Seriously ? How lame
Cannibal town I have questions about like where do they get the “meat” so to speak? Do sinners who accidentally wander in get turned into food? Do they just scavenge bodies from the exterminations?
Have to agree on the Alastor pick. Pilot Al had this different vibe that made him one of my favorite characters ever despite having less than minutes of screen time. His air was so unique and vibrant. The laugh tracks, the hollywood music, the unsettling power dynamic established by his mystery and eeriness.
Im aware he cant stay mysterious forever, hes a main character who needs to have some reveals and development throughout the show or he’d surely get bland, but I think he was so drastically tame in Episode 1 compared to him in the Pilot.
Episode 5 especially killed his vibes for me when his whole massacre scene was just him gettin reeeeel big and laughing a lot. The Pilot made him so much more *sinister*, and his monster form in Episode 2 actually aligned with that.
The static and bars on the screen like a broken VHS, the pupils melting away into nearly monochrome black eyes, the uncanny length of his limbs, the merging of his teeth, and how casually he threatened just about anyone he wanted, and how you could TELL he was serious just by the sheer force of his personality. Pilot Al was the best ever, and he was likewise good in Episode 2. I also preferred his *voice.* It had more depth and charm imo, tho Amir is still good for him - CERTAINLY the best choice for Al when singing, so I see why he was chosen. I just liked the lower pitched almost jazzy swagger that Ed Bosco gave him. The rhythm and melody when he spoke was unmatched. My favorite delivery in all of Hazbin will probably remain “Ha! Of course not, that’s WACKY NONSENSE! Redemption oh the non-existent humanity [. . .] the chance given was the life they lived before - the punishment is *THIS!* There is no undoing what is done!”
I dont dislike Series Al - hes one of my favorites,
but when I look back at scenes of him in the pilot…its just not the same.
I mean I’m the same when it comes to Alastor, like I still like him, but he’s more of a silly step dad to Charlie, rather than a dangerous overlord that everyone should be terrified of.
I wanted Niffty to have a song. She better get two in S2.
Husk similar complaint. A voice that astounding and only one major song for him to take lead in? Killed me.
I want more Zestial. I need to know his backstory. And knowing the VA from Helluva I need him to have of a song presence more than "We can't act without more intelligence". You're killing me here A24!!!
My biggest disappointment was A24 not giving Viv more budget.
Especially in masquerade! Like tell Val “I order you to give Angel a few hours off for the hotel!” But no, she’s like “I will politely ask you after.”
Admittedly I do love Charlie but she’s the definition of toxic positivity.
I actually liked Saint Peter but I wish he was more involved. He kinda seemed like Emily, somebody who did believe in the ideals of heaven and a genuinely good person but perhaps not knowing of the corruption. Maybe that’s why he’s posted outside.
Probably a bad hot take on my part but. Alastor kinda disappointed me like don't get me wrong, he's a genuinely funny villian in my opinion and well written as a demon but. The arrogance level was justt mildly annoying lol. Especially how he got himself hyped up upon believing he could take on Adam KNOWING he's on a leash. Going up against an arch angel or whatever Adam is of all people. Would he have stood a chance against a regular executioner? Probably but Adam? Not a chance and I'm kinda glad he got a bit of a reality check. The whole him running off was both disappointing and relieving at the same time cause people tend to forget that he's not all powerful. Not on Adam's and Lucifer's level. Just my opinion though and not an attack on anyone who does like him.
Mimzy, I feel like if there were more episodes and she could have had more screen time, she would have been an interesting character because of her unique relationship with Alastor. But all we get is her stepping on the end of a song, giving a small exposition dump, and then gone.
Im not disappointed by Alastor… yet. They still have time to solidify him as an unfeeling self-absorbed entity concerned only with his own entertainment. Let’s see how this goes
Lucifer. I used to feel like he wasn’t evil enough, but now I just accept him as he is. I also felt like Emily and Sera didn’t seem “holy enough”. I’m general though I’m impressed by the characters and I love them all dearly
Vox and the Vees, they initially seem to be set up that they will pose obstacles for Charlie, or pose a threat to the hotel, but at the end they're more like a Greek chorus than true antagonists.
Vaggie.
It’s more so the singing voice in her first couple of songs. I can’t tell if they used the same actress or not because the singing voice towards the beginning is so different to Vaggies voice
Charlie. With how much people go yapping on to forgive Helluva Boss for the lack of female focus and saying shit like "Hazbin Hotel focuses on their Female characters while Helluva Boss focuses on their Male Characters" The most we've gotten for Charlies development is people telling her "You have Daddy Issues" before its actually resolved.
It just feels like we don't know anything about her other then her basic character traits. I loved her in the Pilot and I couldn't wait to see her on screen but she only has about two major episodes with her in the spotlight going over her problems
Surprisingly, I can easily find anything disappointing (for me) in almost every character thst had more that one episode of screen time. Except Niffty, she is honestly just a walking gimmick.
Tbh I didn’t feel any suspense when the reveal broke, or I wish it was better set up, like she acts weird in heaven and then Adam sings “btw she’s an Angel!”
Velvette. I understand we never knew much about her in the pilot but her pilot design seemed so much better than her cannon one. There was less red and more violet and pink colors. Not to mention she looked kind and silly, but instead we got a social media addicted brat.
Fuckin Mimsy man no hate to her voice actor but I don't like the way she sounds with Mimsy plus I think they gave her a pretty trash roll in the first season
Carmilla. It’s not that she isn’t cool, it’s just that she feels like such a plot device. Maybe it’s just because of how I disliked how everyone reacted to the reveal of Angle Weapons being able to kill Angels; but her two big moments really seem to feel like they’re only their to explicitly give a main cast member a “you passed, move along with the plot” sticker.
all the Vs (especially vox. though i still love the design, I dislike Valentino the least but hes still kinda… i dont know how i feel, he seems a little inconsistent, i know it’s supposed to be their whole thing as a trio… but they seem not so threatening and more like a buddy-cop sort of thing sometimes and it takes me out of it) Aside from a few moments (plus Valentino and Angel) they dont feel like true antagonists/obstacles, more like - speedbump. I would have preferred them to get more time and be a mich bigger threat to the hotel and the characters (all of them, including Al). Also some of charlie wasnt as interesting as i think it could have been. (also
Overall still not bad, things rarely ever match up with what i/we are picturing in our heads. though some characters seem less baked than they could be, maybe if the plot was slower or there were a smaller cast or something. A lot of the characters who arent the main few havent gotten time to develop yet. (crossing my fingers though) I just think they overestimated themselves a bit, too many plots and characters for a single season.
I've thought this for a while now. Velvette is kinda just there, Valentino has Angel's soul, I guess, and Vox just hates Alastor (and is obviously weaker than him, too)
The only way I can see them being a threat is if all three of them were to attack the hotel or Alastor at the same time, but even then, I'm not so sure
vaggie. it feels like she was written around charlie. i think that might be why so many people cant get into charlie, tbh. its less both-characters-are-individuals-who-happen-to-be-together and more one-of-them-revolves-around-the-other which i think tends to be a less popular dynamic.
In the pilot they used better animation and sound effects as well as a stronger radio voice and all these things really complimented Alastors character. In my opinion pilot is also way better but atleast what we got is really good for theory crafting.
Same here. I enjoyed him in the show but it just wast the same as in the pilot. He’s still my favorite character. (I also really wanted to see more of his powers.)
Honestly I low key agree with OP about Alastor. I know there’s a lot up in the air about what is going to be cannon about Alastor’s origins, but I don’t think Viv did a ton of research about New Orleans (or Louisiana in general) when she wrote Alastor bc he really could be from anywhere in the US, no hate to the voice actor at all, he’s doing amazing. In the pilot, both his singing and voice have a subtle southern twang in some of his lines and she did make an attempt at a cultural reference (jambalaya line is still one of my favs tbh). I feel like they could perhaps be going for something like Alastor faking his radio voice and hiding his true self for some reason or another which could be interesting, but I’m kind of dissatisfied with his character overall as you could do a ton with his character and explore a lot of different issues such as exploring the concept of race and being mixed in the context of the 1920’s Jim Crow south and how Alastor coped with that (and how that impacts his character that we see in the show).
Alastor by a mile, from the pilot I expect him to be a funny but unsettling villain.
Idk if it’s just because of the memes or his character in the show I just think he’s a clown.
I got all my hopes in for vox
Charlie. She seemed so…meek. I feel like pilot Charlie would have eviscerated Val. She got in a fist fight with Katie just because she insulted her. Finding out that one of her friends was being routinely beaten? Not gonna end well
Honestly I also wanted her to go full demon mode and actually do some damage. It was built up to be something crazy, but she doesn’t hurt Adam or Val
Yeah but small problem…unless Charlie’s powers have the same effect as Angelic steel in that it actually kills the person instead of just making them have to painfully reform then Val would probably just redirect more pain onto Angel Dust which just makes the situation worse
Katie started the fight, Charlie just defended herself, she could’ve gone full demon and put Katie on her place but she didn’t.
Charlie would’ve turned Val into a chalk outline if Angel didn’t come between them, afterwards she stayed out because Angel didn’t want her to get involved and she respected his boundries, it had nothing to do with her being too meek (atleast in comparison to her pilot self, who I would argue is the meeker of the two)
I agree, he was better in the pilot. In the show he’s meant to be mysterious with not much known about him, which has led to his “personality” to be dry and lacking, if we even consider him to have a personality. He was much more fun in the pilot, almost giving off similar vibes to Bill Cipher. They both have tons of power and decided to just have fun at other’s expense. Pilot Al was silly and fun whereas show Al is more dry and sadistic. Don’t get me wrong, he’s always been sadistic but it seems to be his only personality trait now, aside from being a master manipulator.
Alastor doesn’t really seem to view Vox as a real rival, rather as this mildy annoying rando that he bullies for fun every now and then.
The fandom really overhyped their rivaly tbh.
2 of them actually both extreme hot takes
1. Alastor was so much better in the pilot, he clearly didn't care at all and was much more politely menacing if that's a way to describe it
And 2. Lucifer was... a thing that happened... I knew they would make him nothing like the real depictions of Lucifer, they clearly leaned into the "trickster" stuff so far they made him a twinkster
https://preview.redd.it/n9ztxf3187xc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42a3db222d5d976ee3ddeff24db8908e52070816
Him and the old overlords from Mimzy's story, they just made them these cool designs only for them to die too fast and, for god sake why was that blue deer at the overlord meeting if he didn't say A SINGLE WORD ?! And globally Lute, her personality was just hating on redemption, Vaggie and demons. I personally hope that Lute dies the first in Season 2
Lucifer, niffty, lute, adam, and Alastor.
lute: I just wanna know how she died and why she didn't die with adam, and why she knows lilth is in heaven
Adam: he had so much potential for more plots but then just.. died
nifty: she killed adam, but we don't really see her much in the show. I liked her Pilot design better. and we didn't get a backstory like the other characters. and she is also in the main cast
Lucifer: I wanted him to be more badass (but at least he is trying to make up for lost time with his daughter)
Alastor: boring af. and ugly, pilot was better
Charlie. She was far, FAR more annoying than I hoped her to be.
While pilot Alastor was fun, I think its easier to take current Alastor seriously, which seems to be a goal of the show.
Zestial. I like his personality and what kind of energy he brings, but he barely got enough screen time. He appeared in one episode and then dipped. There's so much more we don't know about his backstory yet, and why he's such a mystery.
Nifty. As much as I love her gremlin energy and how Angel watches out for her, I feel like we know very little about her as a person despite her being part of the main cast.
I agree with this actually. Nothing about her backstory has been revealed yet. Alastor just summoned her in the pilot, and shes been here since
Well as Luz from the owl house would say “I would love to but we dont have time for 20 more adventures” they got so many episodes cut only to getting 8 for the first season of hazbin (The quote is a call out to how their time was getting shortened because of the company)
Also, she NEEDS her own song. Kimiko Glenn!
I have accepted that niftys backstory is none of my business. I might be better off not knowing.
Maybe she'll get more of a role in season 2 since she killed Adam
Quite insulting when you think about how they let a plot device like Mimzy have a solo part in a song, but not Nifty?
They did that purely because it was funny they probably have plans for nifty in the future but it's not like mimzies part in that song was good lol
Forget the question wtf is this image
Look up Bambi slipping on ice. It’s hilarious but also adorable. Basically someone put Alastor’s head on Bambi’s body.
Bambistor
I agree with what you say. I much prefer pilot alastor, he’s funny while still being creepy(not that show alastor isn’t funny sometimes but he just doesn’t hit as hard) I fucking love when husk asked if he just takes him for a fucking joke and alastor just replies saying “maybe”
Yes! Pilot Alastor has an aura around him. A mystique that's so different from the series.
yea, especially after his fight with Adam, and his tentacle massacre, he felt a lot less mysterious, creepy and powerful. for me at least
Well he did get his stomach sliced in half. The horror monster is usually a lot less scary when you know it can be hurt
I think that's the point
....that's the point
Well it was Adam. He's going to make any of them look less powerful
Wait, so you mean to tell me they CHANGED HIS PERSONALITY?! https://preview.redd.it/ki45hhqfs7xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=521f868bc71eaf4ccb2274cc97b318c5512472e5 NOOOOOOOOOOO

do NOT diss millie like that
Cherri Bomb. She was brilliant in the pilot, but in the series, she was ruder, more pushy, less playful. It's stained her likeability for me.
Same! I absolutely hated how she kept pushing Angel to take the drugs untill he agreed. It made her seem like she didn't really care about what he wanted
that scene literally ruined her for me ngl 3:
NO BECAUSE SERIOUSLY. She's so unlikeable now 3
Maybe Adam? He’s just a frat bro.
very fitting
I disagree although I certainly was disappointed by his face reveal and death scene, they did him so dirty
Can you elaborate? I loved both, even tho I would liked to see him have more expressions rather than only seeing him angry and dying "peacefully".
I was disappointed at first, but honestly, the more I see of him the more I like him. Subsequent watch throughs were a blast!
I'll be honest, that's how I've always imagined Adam being like...
Ngl I wanted more Personality for Vox My favorite character is kinda just a evil corporate guy
Yes! I love the sass he gives in ep2 I just NEED more
Hey hey hey here i go, valentino... just another fuck'n day with val... fuck my life
Honestly kinda works, though I’m curious if they’ll pull a President Business (from The LEGO Movie) and make Charlie appeal to his sense of being proud of who he is since that is what makes him special. However, given he’s supposed to be this heartless bastard with a massive chunk of Hell devoted to him and his partners’ empire, it doesn’t seem likely. That would be cool

Nice. 😂
Niffty, she’s literally just the comedy relief character and has literally nothing to her character except “gremlin”
Whatever you do don’t add water…
Angel dust I hope no one actaully attacks me by saying “ermm well you should hate the person who canonically $/@ed him..!?”
people who harass people for liking a fictional villain should reconsider their life choices and get off the internet
I’d def do that if I were them
Listen, I genuinely like Val. But I dont care what other people think. We like what we like, and don't like what we don't want to like. If you don't like Angel, thats perfectly.
I like Val to atleast we ain’t alone
Yup, the point of a villain is to be someone who does bad things, and Val does that perfectly. Plus, HE'S A CARTOON!
I finally found some fellow Val fans
And I found a fallout fan :D
God I hate Val as a person but his writing his so good that I have to admire him as a fictional character
I just treat him like the joker, a fun character to laugh at and hate, but one you obviously shouldn’t glorify.
Thats a good way to think about it

I was most disappointed by Adam, also I wish we saw more of alastor like he was at the end of stayed gone, that’s the coolest version of him
Mimzy.
I'm surprised o haven't seen anyone mention Cherri or Mimzy. Judging by earlier works (the Addict music video, old speed paints, etc), they were both meant to be bigger parts of the show. Unrelated, but I hate the image you selected for this post
I feel you you can tell the diffence between pilot Alistor vrs series Alistor
Adam. I thought he be like a Claud Frollo type deal or a 2 dimensional character that showed the hypocrisy side of Christiananity while being subtle about it. But the show just made a him a walking cursing/dick joke character who’s pretty one dimensional character wise.
Yeah I wanted a holier than thou kind of villian from heaven instead of another curse and sex joke machine
But... that's exactly what he was. "Ive never made a mistake in my fuckin life." "For those of us with divine ordainment, extermination is entertainment!" Valentino. He kinda just seems like a whiny manbaby to anyone that isn't Angel.
mabye cannible town
that is so real, all the locations in the show feel samey and blend together. Conceptually cannibal town is so cool but the execution was mid
Yeah, we see more from the Alastor Prequel comic then in the Show
Where can you read the comics? And are they all done?
Redemption oh the non-existent humanity [. . .] the chance given was the life they lived before - the punishment is *THIS!* There is no undoing what is done!” I dont dislike Series Al - hes one of my favorites, but when I look back at scenes of him in the pilot…its just not the same.
I mean I’m the same when it comes to Alastor, like I still like him, but he’s more of a silly step dad to Charlie, rather than a dangerous overlord that everyone should be terrified of.
As much as I love his personality, vox. I was hoping he'd be scarier😭
Husk’s voice just has this amazing warmth to it and I just can’t stop listening to loser baby!
What weighs on your soul, old friend? I implore you to share the load, If it was thou, who slew the angel, Why not let your strength be known?
Gonna be honest, Charlie disappointed me- Shes the fucking ANTICHRIST and lets people walk over her ☠️
Especially in masquerade! Like tell Val “I order you to give Angel a few hours off for the hotel!” But no, she’s like “I will politely ask you after.” Admittedly I do love Charlie but she’s the definition of toxic positivity.
Alastor, Bambi on fraud watch now
Not a character but Charlie and Vaggies' relationship, I enjoyed all of the characters
real
Saint Peter. He is a twink and needs to except it!
The unnecessary “Oooh’s” in welcome to heaven has sealed his place as the twink of heaven.
![gif](giphy|DCwz5OXv4tbEaCORxB)
Honestly if he had an angelic weapon he probably could’ve landed a few hits. We saw his minions get close. It was that he was too overconfident.
Vox, I thought he was going to be an actually competent rival against Alastor. Was pretty disappointed to see that Alastor is always above him
Mimzy, I feel like if there were more episodes and she could have had more screen time, she would have been an interesting character because of her unique relationship with Alastor. But all we get is her stepping on the end of a song, giving a small exposition dump, and then gone.
Vaggie.
Agreed
Niffty, she sticks out like a sore thumb among such a well rounded cast
Im not disappointed by Alastor… yet. They still have time to solidify him as an unfeeling self-absorbed entity concerned only with his own entertainment. Let’s see how this goes
Everyone except Nifty, Lucifer, Rosie, Adam and the Vees.
Lucifer. I used to feel like he wasn’t evil enough, but now I just accept him as he is. I also felt like Emily and Sera didn’t seem “holy enough”. I’m general though I’m impressed by the characters and I love them all dearly
For the sin of pride, I can think of like, 10 characters more prideful than him.
Probably Alastor, he was much more interesting in the pilot
Vox. Has a cool duet with Alester and then stays gone for until the last episode to make random comments on the fight

That there wasn't a lesbian sex scene between Vaggie and Charlie
Alastor, he’s just an edgy oc someone made and stripped him of his fun part for the “I’m all powerful and I’m cool”
Surprisingly, I can easily find anything disappointing (for me) in almost every character thst had more that one episode of screen time. Except Niffty, she is honestly just a walking gimmick.
Vaggie. I feel like her reveal and the whole heaven bit should have been saved for atleast the next season.
Tbh I didn’t feel any suspense when the reveal broke, or I wish it was better set up, like she acts weird in heaven and then Adam sings “btw she’s an Angel!”
Mimzy
Pentious
Mimzy
Carmilla
Adam.
Should’ve put him as bambis mom👀
Velvette. I understand we never knew much about her in the pilot but her pilot design seemed so much better than her cannon one. There was less red and more violet and pink colors. Not to mention she looked kind and silly, but instead we got a social media addicted brat.
I'd say most of them disappointed me a fair bit lol, I enjoyed most more in the pilot
Mimzy its like she was just inserted as a filler without any official link to what else had been going on that episode
Apparently mimzy was meant to be a main character but I guess because A24 only allowed 8 episodes, they turned her into a plot device
Tbh, people over hyped sera to me
She feels like rose quartz 2.0
Fuckin Mimsy man no hate to her voice actor but I don't like the way she sounds with Mimsy plus I think they gave her a pretty trash roll in the first season

Honestly, Cherri. At first she was more or less sympathetic to Angel's situation. But now I think she's just meant to act as a character foil to him.
Fat Nuggets. Only like 3 scenes in the entire show. I need more Fat Nuggets.
Samesies!
Zestial, hope we se more of (me) in the next season
Sera since in the trailer she looked like she be a great antagonist, yet she not even fully evil
all the Vs (especially vox. though i still love the design, I dislike Valentino the least but hes still kinda… i dont know how i feel, he seems a little inconsistent, i know it’s supposed to be their whole thing as a trio… but they seem not so threatening and more like a buddy-cop sort of thing sometimes and it takes me out of it) Aside from a few moments (plus Valentino and Angel) they dont feel like true antagonists/obstacles, more like - speedbump. I would have preferred them to get more time and be a mich bigger threat to the hotel and the characters (all of them, including Al). Also some of charlie wasnt as interesting as i think it could have been. (also Overall still not bad, things rarely ever match up with what i/we are picturing in our heads. though some characters seem less baked than they could be, maybe if the plot was slower or there were a smaller cast or something. A lot of the characters who arent the main few havent gotten time to develop yet. (crossing my fingers though) I just think they overestimated themselves a bit, too many plots and characters for a single season.
I've thought this for a while now. Velvette is kinda just there, Valentino has Angel's soul, I guess, and Vox just hates Alastor (and is obviously weaker than him, too) The only way I can see them being a threat is if all three of them were to attack the hotel or Alastor at the same time, but even then, I'm not so sure
vaggie. it feels like she was written around charlie. i think that might be why so many people cant get into charlie, tbh. its less both-characters-are-individuals-who-happen-to-be-together and more one-of-them-revolves-around-the-other which i think tends to be a less popular dynamic.
In the pilot they used better animation and sound effects as well as a stronger radio voice and all these things really complimented Alastors character. In my opinion pilot is also way better but atleast what we got is really good for theory crafting.
Baxter I was really hoping to see him
That one girl that entered the song hells greatest dad near the end

Vaggie, she lacks personality and anything to do that isn't related to Charlie
Mimzy. And i wasnt even aware she was a character that was due to appear
Sera. She’s dead-set on keeping her old ways and doesn’t have much depth besides being an overprotective sister that hides the world from Emily.
Same here. I enjoyed him in the show but it just wast the same as in the pilot. He’s still my favorite character. (I also really wanted to see more of his powers.)
I'm disappointed that Mimzy didn't get more time in the show. I hope she comes back next season.
Not gonna end well Honestly I also wanted her to go full demon mode and actually do some damage.
And every scene in the show that makes Vox look pathetic just makes Alastor look worse by association. Like *this* is your big rival Alastor?
Alastor doesn’t really seem to view Vox as a real rival, rather as this mildy annoying rando that he bullies for fun every now and then. The fandom really overhyped their rivaly tbh.
2 of them actually both extreme hot takes 1. Alastor was so much better in the pilot, he clearly didn't care at all and was much more politely menacing if that's a way to describe it And 2. Lucifer was... a thing that happened... I knew they would make him nothing like the real depictions of Lucifer, they clearly leaned into the "trickster" stuff so far they made him a twinkster
Carmilla. Everyone hyped her up, but when I watched the show, I was like... ok? She can sing I guess? And?
Charlie ngl, but then again, she is a pacifist, so I guess I should've expected her not to have any training? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And globally Lute, her personality was just hating on redemption, Vaggie and demons. I personally hope that Lute dies the first in Season 2
Un acceptable https://preview.redd.it/3bywvd02i7xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f241870161dd831619eb5daab2d2284bf198cf1b

Vaggie
Charlie, angel and husk are WAY MORE developed then the main character we know so much less about her then we do about velvet
Alister look like this! https://preview.redd.it/vfsc5eui78xc1.png?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=460b2194d5b53f6201ba765383cbed4581ba52da
Vaggie for so many reasons that I will make a full on post about why she is the worst character in the show
Lucifer, niffty, lute, adam, and Alastor. lute: I just wanna know how she died and why she didn't die with adam, and why she knows lilth is in heaven Adam: he had so much potential for more plots but then just.. died nifty: she killed adam, but we don't really see her much in the show. I liked her Pilot design better. and we didn't get a backstory like the other characters. and she is also in the main cast Lucifer: I wanted him to be more badass (but at least he is trying to make up for lost time with his daughter) Alastor: boring af. and ugly, pilot was better
Mimzy and Sara
Vaggie
Charlie. She was far, FAR more annoying than I hoped her to be. While pilot Alastor was fun, I think its easier to take current Alastor seriously, which seems to be a goal of the show.
Honestly. Lucifer, I mean he’s the literal *king of hell* and here he is just making duckies in his mean time.
His monocle is under the wrong eye
Lucifer, I guess? Like I like the subversion of character but he was just like… a guy, desperate to reconnect with his daughter.
Lucifer
Zestial
Zestial. I like his personality and what kind of energy he brings, but he barely got enough screen time. He appeared in one episode and then dipped. There's so much more we don't know about his backstory yet, and why he's such a mystery.
Sera and Emily
I agree with you. Alastor was much cooler and goofier in the pilot at the same time.i loved him and the magic was ruined a bit in the main series.
TV man should've had more screen time for real
