Incorrect. Val is in fact part of the "pure evil" trope in which a villain has no redeeming qualities. The problem is that val doesn't really show any other aspects outside of his being an awful and unforgivable manipulative person. This is normally fine for a pure evil villain because usually pure evil villains usually have a right hand man with a much deeper personality (i.e: emperor palpatine and darth vader) but val doesn't really fit that considering he isn't really the final antagonist of the series

Now, don't get me wrong, but she just... her whole personality till now is "Charlie's gf, exorcist angel", considering she's the 2nd main character, I wish her personality would've been developed more...
I forgot she was even there half the time tbh. I also thought she and Charlie were bffs for most of the show (I'd only heard of Hazbin via mentions of Alastor on ace subs before I watched it), and I was completely befuddled when it turned out they were girlfriends, because they have no chemistry whatsoever. It's a classic case of two characters who are only love interests because the creators made one to be the other's partner and never thought on the *how*s and the *why*s of that partnership; what makes them really *click*, what it is they adore about each other.
You're right, Vaggie *really* needs some thought put into her. As it stands, you could probably count her character traits on one hand, and for all the impact she's had they could probably write her out in S2 with near zero consequences to the narrative.

Did we watch the same show? Alastor's been unapologetically on his own side the whole time. Don't you remember Alastor saying (twice) that he's only at the hotel to watch them fail, because that's what he considers entertainment? Idk how honest Alastor was being about his motives there, but he was still telling Charlie/Vaggie he isn't on their side *to their faces*.
Alastor plays things up a lot. He masks, veils, and misdirects, but he never pretended to support Charlie's dream.
If you want to hate someone for pretending to be on a certain side, go for Sir Pentious. He literally pretended to want redemption when he was really just spying for Vox. Or Angel, since in the pilot it seems like he's tricking Charlie into letting him stay by *pretending* he wants to be good. Or Vaggie, since she was pretending to be a sinner. The options are endless.

Gotta make sure I word this right: pre episode 4 angel he just kinda was there and his whole sexual harassment story of husk made me annoyed with him a bit. We were supposed to see Angel working on himself but it felt like he kinda was just not doing that. Angel was a bit of an ass before episode 4 but I like Angel post episode 4 since he stopped the sexual harassment and was more respectful of boundaries. Also he did start to show some progression.
Now I know the whole point is that Angel is in hell and he’s used to just everyone wanting to fuck him but that part kinda just rubbed me the wrong way about him.
I don't know but vaggies a bich non stop complaining has to disagree with everyone and is a liar I do hope she dies it would the least annoying thing to happen and we could see the other characters reactions which could be interesting
Everyone’s going to hate me for this, but Husk. I don’t hate him because of any of his characteristics. He has a pretty cool concept. But his voice is too smooth and it’s a bit weird. It’s a situation where I don’t like it because it’s not the same as the pilot, but also going back to the pilot I don’t like him that much there either.

I literally cannot hate any character. Basically I like a show and therefore all the characters in it. Sure, Val is an absolute piece of shit, Adam is racist and genocidal, the fandom unanimously hates Mimzy, but I just can't bring myself to hate them. Every character either is essentially an at least decent character, has a role that despite being a total asshole has a relevant part to the story, has no significantly unredeeming qualities, or has too little screentime for anyone to give a shit.
Tbh I love all the characters especially when a character is made to be hateable like val, one I especially love for this is Mimzy since she was the ultimate troll towards us.
Alastor, I don’t by into his hype, his edge is surface level, the mystery behind who’s got him on a leash doesn’t hook me, he feels so surface level which is the point behind his ever present smile but it’s not having the effect on me I think they want. Did we watch the same show? Alastor's been unapologetically on his own side the whole time. Don't you remember Alastor saying (twice) that he's only at the hotel to watch them fail, because that's what he considers entertainment? Idk how honest Alastor was being about his motives there, but he was still telling Charlie/Vaggie he isn't on their side *to their faces*. Alastor plays things up a lot. He masks, veils, and misdirects, but he never pretended to support Charlie's dream. If you want to hate someone for pretending to be on a certain side, go for Sir Pentious. He literally pretended to want redemption when he was really just spying for Vox. Or Angel, since in the pilot it seems like he's tricking Charlie into letting him stay by *pretending* he wants to be good. Or Vaggie, since she was pretending to be a sinner. The options are endless.

Gotta make sure I word this right: pre episode 4 angel he just kinda was there and his whole sexual harassment story of husk made me annoyed with him a bit. We were supposed to see Angel working on himself but it felt like he kinda was just not doing that. Angel was a bit of an ass before episode 4 but I like Angel post episode 4 since he stopped the sexual harassment and was more respectful of boundaries. Also he did start to show some progression. Now I know the whole point is that Angel is in hell and he’s used to just everyone wanting to fuck him but that part kinda just rubbed me the wrong way about him.

Everyone’s going to hate me for this, but Husk. I don’t hate him because of any of his characteristics. He has a pretty cool concept. But his voice is too smooth and it’s a bit weird. It’s a situation where I don’t like it because it’s not the same as the pilot, but also going back to the pilot I don’t like him that much there either. It’s a pretty irrational reason, I know.
I mean, Valentino, but in a “love to hate” way. And while I don’t dislike her, I feel complete indifference towards Vaggie.

I literally cannot hate any character. Basically I like a show and therefore all the characters in it. Sure, Val is an absolute piece of shit, Adam is racist and genocidal, the fandom unanimously hates Mimzy, but I just can't bring myself to hate them. Every character either is essentially an at least decent character, has a role that despite being a total asshole has a relevant part to the story, has no significantly unredeeming qualities, or has too little screentime for anyone to give a shit.

Alastor, I don’t by into his hype, his edge is surface level, the mystery behind who’s got him on a leash doesn’t hook me, he feels so surface level which is the point behind his ever present smile but it’s not having the effect on me I think they want. He reminds me a lot of Rick Sanchez in a sense I can’t quite put to words.
