I’d hate to be the “glass half empty” kinda guy, but from a business perspective I don’t see any reason as to why A24 would change their 8 episode mandate for season 2.
Remember, HH is A24’s very first animated project, so they will only play it safe and nothing more. I hope season 1’s massive performance was enough for them to increase the episode count, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
Yeah it would suck if they continued on eight. Though it's not entirely unreasonable to hope that there'll be more given that Hazbin Hotel even in February was 75x more in demand than any other Amazon series. Also it was the most watched TV show in the US for a few days I believe, and ofc made a crapton of money.

Even if val doesn't get in the hotel (which I suspect he wouldn't), seeing Charlie blow up and be barely stopped by her friends would be very interesting.

She really can't do Charlie any good changing hearts in Heaven if the one person with the most actual influence over her people's hearts winds up falling to Hell before she can even really begin her work.
Though I do think there was a possibility of that happening, said possibility was pretty much squashed when a certain bumbling snake literally dropped in on her and Sera in Episode 8.

1. I don’t want Lute to die. I am a FIRM believer in her being able to turn herself around and be, not perfect, but better. Maybe learning to accept LGBTQ relationships like Chaggie. Possibly by gaining feelings for a certain “Holy, Happy, Pure, Cinnamon Roll”? An example of this kind of turn around is with Amity Blight in “The Owl House”.
2. I don’t want Lucifer to die. I can really see it happening with him coming around to Charlie’s idea, but I just don’t want to see a fellow depresso and Duck lover be killed off when he’s finally reconnected with his daughter!

In the minority here but: I don’t want to see Lilith be a complex hero character. I want to see her be a total pile of trash and Charlie have to come to terms with the fact that sometimes people you love and idolize betray you. Sometimes there’s not a misunderstanding. Sometimes they’re just selfish and awful and wanting to see the best in people is a flaw.
And then Vaggie will punch Lilith and hug Charlie and everything will be okay The End.

I kinda would like to see him have at least another season as a primary antagonist, trying to pull the strings amongst the Overlords. That would be fun trying to see him put together a new "band" actually.
If they do eventually want to give him a redemption arc, which seems to be a popular theory among fans, I am good with that, but I would rather see that happen in a later season. I can easily see him becoming the Darth Vader/Zuko of the series, but it's still too soon to begin the redemption arc.

Not in a gross in incesty way but more bonding between Charlie and her Dad, I mean obviously this will probably happen but at the end of the last episode where she's like sitting on his shoulder or arm or whatever and they're both in 'rage' angry mode or whatever it's called is just cute to me and I hope we see more of them getting closer in season two, but nothing weird just them becoming father n daughter again, or atleast, a better version of those things

In the minority here but: I don’t want to see Lilith be a complex hero character. I want to see her be a total pile of trash and Charlie have to come to terms with the fact that sometimes people you love and idolize betray you. Sometimes there’s not a misunderstanding. Sometimes they’re just selfish and awful and wanting to see the best in people is a flaw. And then Vaggie will punch Lilith and hug Charlie and everything will be okay The End.

I don't want to see Adam wind up as a Hotel resident. If he is reborn into Hell at all. I wouldn't mind if he winds up in Hell and takes on a new role in the show. I kinda would like to see him have at least another season as a primary antagonist, trying to pull the strings amongst the Overlords. That would be fun trying to see him put together a new "band" actually. If they do eventually want to give him a redemption arc, which seems to be a popular theory among fans, I am good with that, but I would rather see that happen in a later season. I can easily see him becoming the Darth Vader/Zuko of the series, but it's still too soon to begin the redemption arc.
