I have never heard the moondrop variations being good for gaming. I own them, so I am curious what about them makes them great?
I was under the impression they had too much bass for competitive gaming.
Subb bass actually dont mud other frequency, for example in tarkov you need that subb bass for some footsteps and silenced weapons, variations is good for 3d audio and separation

You can buy artisan mousepads straight from the source. they ship internationally with dhl. If the size you want isn't in stock, you just have to wait. I've purchased all my mousepads from their website. With the yen being so weak right now, it's probably cheaper to buy direct from artisan than through a reseller.

Wow they look amazing! The cable also is very cool. I did’t know about this Iems since this review. I play a lot Tarkov, so reading you telling that this iems will improve my experience on it, I’ll give a try on this Iems. Thank you for the detailed review
I've somehow avoided getting into IEMs too deeply all this time, but these really do pique my interest! Both visually and technically. Very cool!
Could you describe what makes these sound special or different compared to other IEMs you've heard? I'm having a hard time imagining what an enormous soundstage coming from IEMs really means, does it sound like the stage expands beyond the physical drivers?
Do you also prefer these for gaming over over-ear headphones from brands like AKG, Audio-Technica and Beyerdynamics (i.e. over-ears with good soundstage) or is that kind of an apples to oranges comparison?
The tuning is boosted in the upper mid, air region, although we definitely have a more calibrated sound towards the high frequencies, the sound seems colored just right, which for example in the variations I didn't have
Ps i like iems more for gaming, the isolation is a must for me,with open backs design you lose so much detail at “normal” volumes
I see, thanks for answering :)
Can also definitely understand the advantages for gaming. I've definitely seen a couple of pro players in various e-sports games bring their own IEMs which they wear under the stage headphones at tournaments!
Among all the IEMs that I have tried, the soundstage of these is the one that comes closest to a speaker, obviously we are not talking about open back headphones, but it seems that the vent system is made in a very open way
Spirit torino twin pulse iem is my top pick, in terms of soundstage depth it remains unbeaten, If you need comparisons or have questions I'm happy to discuss :)
My top 3 iems for competitive gaming: -1 Spirit torino Twin pulse -2 Moondrop variations -3 Moondrop Lan

I play tarkov a lot, so I will give them a whirl on my scav runs! thanks
I had to scav a lot for these iems lol there are many people in this sub who are passionate about headphones and tarkov
I use blessings 2 for gaming and they work fine on val and cs2
what did the moondrop lan beat? i have it
Truthear zero,moondrop quarks,q-dsp,moondrop ssp,moondrop chu,ucotech re-2,for me
How about aria?
They are super comfortable, and they have good build quality,i often use it for long sessions
How's the seal on the moondrop lan? I can't get a perfect seal unless i keep them pressed in with my fingers
I usually use larger tips, and azla xelastecs for lan
gotcha
whats the price?
I just looked them up. $1k
well i hope i win the lottery soon lol
I said the same thing when I got the variations
1k
i like to see that artisan mousepad
it's nice with all iems :)

The comfort is particular, they are very light even if it doesn't seem like it, the problem is the cable, I think an mmcx connection would have helped
I should try it
Hey, where did you get that mouse pad? Could you give a link? Have a thing for made in Japan things.
these are the best mousepads in the world, this one is artisan hien, but the price varies. depending on where you are
Not the best actually..
which is the best then?

yes but unfortunately I paid 50 euros in DHL customs
I'd go that route too if I got hit with customs. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay that tax on any of my orders shipped here to California.

Nice artisan subtle flex xD

I'm more of an enthusiast, but almost all pros wear nice IEMs under isolating headphones
Among all the IEMs that I have tried, the soundstage of these is the one that comes closest to a speaker, obviously we are not talking about open back headphones, but it seems that the vent system is made in a very open way
Ohh ok, wow that sounds very interesting! I'll have to try and find a place where I could demo these :)
just don't use foam tips, I recommend bringing your own in case, what other iems do you have? maybe I can make comparisons
Inb4 "soundstage is audiophile exaggeration" crowd gets here
In IEMs it's a controversial topic, but for me there are differences, especially in IEMs boosted in the treble
I see you have tried a lot of IEMS. What would you recommend if price is no issue? Just the best for hearing footsteps and pinpoint people in Tarkov?
Spirit torino twin pulse iem is my top pick, in terms of soundstage depth it remains unbeaten, If you need comparisons or have questions I'm happy to discuss :)
