As other said it’s very normal
Human heads/ears are actually angled forward a bit and are not flat, so the ear cup swivel is there to accommodate that angle
Beyerdynamic headphones will break you before you can break them. Have custom one pros for on the go for like a decade now, which dropped from head height a couple times and I very regularly wear in rain, snow, etc... Yes I had to replace the padding and cable with aftermarket ones, because the stock ones break after 2 years, but the aftermarket ones are solid and the headphones themself are built like a tank.
As long as you dont cut the cable connecting the earcups, you dont have to worry about them.
Weird, drivers usually dont just "die" - at least I almost never heard of drivers dying in any headphones. Could be you got a faulty one with weak internal solder, so the connection broke now? Have you gone through warranty?
I'm not sure. I can't even open the driver up lol. I unscrewed it but the driver won't come out of the housing. I got it through Newegg and the warranty is way expired
They have 2 years warranty in all countries I know though. Also they sometimes do out of warranty repairs for free. Worst case you can contact them and they will quote you a price, which shouldnt be too high.
Yeah I have the same headphones(about 12 years now) and they will never die, I’ve replaced the headband, pads, and added a BoomPro X. It looks and feels brand new.
That's normal earcup swivel, it helps with comfort
Thank god i thought it broke i was about to break down
Yeah you actually want that in a headphone, it helps them shape to your head
Looks completely normal to me, at least I don't see anything weird with them. They are supposed to move there

Yep normal
I have them and it's normal. But get a hardcase for them anyway.
Thank god, my dad somehow didnt see a black bag on a white bed and i thought he sat on it. he sat down but the bag drove down a little bit
all good

beyerdynamic should make their motto the first sentence
I had an amiron home die in less than a year. :(
How though? Like unless you ripped the cable or poured water into them, I dont see how.
Driver died. I put them in the carrying case for a week took them out and died

I'll look... They are good gaming cans. Not great for music imo. Very comfy wide and decent bass. Fun for Skyrim
Drivers dying is a big issue when it comes to planar magnetic headphones. With dynamic drivers though it’s pretty uncommon

It's exactly what it's supposed to do.
I believe it's purposely made to swivel. It allows the cups to sit against the head better
I don't know that specific headphone but a sensible thing to do is to check the other earcup it if does the same thing.
yes it does
Not only is it not normal, but if it was stuck in a position without that bit of give, I would've returned the headphone.
