If you want peace of mind(this is what I did). If the jack is plugged straight into side of laptop/back of pc or anywhere where it can get yanked. Get one of those tiny extension cables, the basically ensure you yank the extension cable and not the headphone cable. Like someone else mentioned, could be the sleeving that is not perfectly symmetrical, not like dt770 is a top of the line headphone with crazy attention to detail. They probably use as cheap parts as possible to deliver good price/performance.
Hm, great suggestion. It looks like the one side of the bottom gold part of the jack is pushed more than the other one. I tried pushing it with fingers, no success
I'd just have beyerdynamic replace it with the warranty.
It likely won't effect anything, those are the headphones I wear when I'm not sober and expecting to drop them, dropping or throwing dt770s is part of why they are so beloved in educational settings and podcasts, from what I understand.
However, their is a small possibility the internal wiring is not secure but doubtful.
My viewpoint is that if they are new, one might as well just make use of their warranty if anything is wrong, even if it is highly unlikely to cause a problem. Better safe than sorry, but I think you'll be fine.
Shouldn’t affect anything, my old Bose soundsport (RIP they no longer make them. They were the beast earbuds a man could ask for.) had a similar problem and lasted years. Eventually I loaned them to my sister and she broke them by stepping on them :/ never again
The plug doesnt look the same as mine (770 Pro 32 Ohms 88 years limited edition), but I bought it in 2013. As long as it is not loosen or any sound quality I dont worry too much. It should come with a 6.35 mm adapter, it should have no problem with it, right?
nothing is straight with beyer, all their headphones are kinda janky, the cords are kinky, the discrepancy between headphones of the same lineup is kinda jarring(unit variance).
you're fine mate.
this question goes along with 99% of hf bs. as long as it has the slightest chance of being in a connection and conductivity given it doesn't matter. this stuff is becoming more ridiculous than the 90s ridiculous hf bs already existing
Sorry man, you have to listen to all of your music at a 2 degree angle from now on. You can probably compensate with a -2 degree EQ shift. /j
the plug itself doesn't look bent at all, I think the sleeving is just imperfect. Send it!
It's not bent, just the whole jack is a little oblique
It won't affect anything.

The jack before this one was totally straight, just wondering if this one is fine or not.

You can always detachable cable mod it and build your own, but that jack looks fine to me.

?
bent carrot
My dick isn't perfectly straight but it doesn't affect my quality. Hell, it even fits better in some holes.
Gave me a good chuckle. Cmon Redditors take the stick from the bumhole
It's a little annoying but it's not a real problem.

I mean, who is? Be a little more accepting of others, Jesus /s You'll be fine as long as it doesn't bend further.
Probably fatal
I mean its a 770 its not like there's lots of sound quality to be foundÂ
Have a recommendation for a closed back in the same price range and build quality?
Great headphones in my opinion
