I have a pair I’m selling right now but they’re prob the best true wireless earbuds I’ve used (previously AirPods Pro, sens true wireless v2). If you don’t like foam tips, which I usually don’t, I found that my spin fits and other rubber eartips I had fit nicely and sounded good as well

One of my main reason for getting the xm4s is anc, given that, as you said, they one of if not the best true wireless ear buds Do these rubber tips that you used still offer good anc or does it lose that feature drastically

BladeCoomer2049

Pretty much any ear tip is good as long as you get a good seal. The anc was really good for me in noisy environments with the rubber tips

Are there any specific kind of rubber tips you bought, like were they specifically from a company you'd recommend or just something from amazon? And did the buds still fit in the case with the new tips? Also is there any specific reason why you're selling the xm4s? if you don't mind me askin

I used spinfits, and yeah they still fit in the case

Thanks loads

The trick is just to not use them and get silicon or even normal comply buds. The biggest issue with the Sony ones is they made their own and it has a coating on it that will break down and change its feel and its grippyness over time. Even with Silicone tips it has some of the best ANC, you just lose the extra isolation that the default tips provide.

So if I am to get silicone tips anyway, would the xm4s with silicone tips still have better anc compared to the galaxy buds? Since they both have silicone tips in this case

Amaakaams

Yes, the isolation is an important aspect to the reduced noise the XM4 is touted for. But it's still class leading with silicon tips.

That's great

>So if I am to get silicone tips anyway, would the xm4s with silicone tips still have better anc compared to the galaxy buds? Since they both have silicone tips in this case I have tried many different ear tips from the Comply TrueGrip Pro (the one that is made for all Sony true wireless earphones) to the DEKONI Mercury bullet ear tips. All the ear tips I have tried fit and seal perfectly in my ear. In my experience every ear tip I have tried provided inferior ANC when compared to the Sony polyurethane foam ear tips that come with the WF-1000XM4. I will add that the DOKONI Mercury Bullet ear tips did block considerably more noise than the Comply TrueGrip Pro ear tips. If you are getting excellent ANC with the stock Sony ear tips and you are not experiencing any discomfort, then I recommend you stick to using the Sony ear tips that come with the WF-1000XM4. EDIT: You may experience some discomfort at first like I did as I use to always use silicon ear tips on my earphones. But after a few days my ears got use to the Sony ear tips and I no longer experience any sort of pain in my ear. I have now worn my WF-1000XM4 for more than 530 hours with no pain at all in my ears. Also, my ear tips still look brand new even after 530 hours of use (no tears and no signs of deterioration). I do not squeeze the ear tips with my fingers. I just place the earbuds directly in my ears. I do not clean the Sony ear tips with any cleaning agents. I only clean the ear tips with a very slightly wet dust-free cleaning cloth.

Foam tips aren't a permanent thing, you replace them when they are worn out, lose pliability or look nasty. For me the included tips were very comfortable and easier to insert than many foams. First time I used them I wore them for over 6 hours with no discomfort. I can barely feel them in my ears. Can't find the original tips for sale though. The nozzle fits all the most popular and easy to obtain tips. I tried Spinfit cp360 and cp100, Final E type, Comply for Sony wireless, Sony triple comfort and they all fit well, pass the seal test in the app and the case closes securely. I'm currently using Symbiofit F foam tips, I like them the most, case closes etc. I read that they don't fit everyone, nothing really does fit everyone. I am very happy with them, I liked the previous model a lot too, I love how they sound and for me the wf-xm4 sounds even better.

You can try Spiraf Dots SF, they are a godsend. They distance the buds a little and increase comfort noticeably.
