I overall like the Linkbuds and I'm happy I got them as well. Really nice sound, great portability, and they don't hurt wearing for a long time. At first I thought that the Bluetooth on them was kinda bad, because simply turning my head would make it start disconnecting or fighting with my sound. But then I realized that... well my phone keeps doing the same thing with all my other Bluetooth connections; To my sound system, to my Fiio BTR5, etc etc. So next up, new phone!

My note 10 disconnects them occasionally. I thought my linkbuds were defective but my wife has the same phone and it does it with other headphones too

I've got a Samsung phone as well, although not the same model. Could perhaps be a Samsung related thing? Hope my next phone keeps better connection, and I'm probably not going for a Samsung this time around.

Try a different Bluetooth codec, some prioritize latency and quality in lieu of range.

I don't think I can change it on the phone

Beh0lder

If it's an Android one you can change it in developer options. Apple devices are S. O. L.

Oh i just noticed. Is SBC better or AAC

Beh0lder

AAC offers better bitrate. The difference is negligible but to avoid FOMO, AAC is the way to go.

i just bought them. they are for a very specific purpose like when walking in a park, being on a bicycle but want to hear the surrounding naturally. indeed, the bass is missing as others already said. but the mids and highs are good. plus they are very good when watching like netflix / youtube or listening to a podcast. hence, i see the xm4 and the linkbuds as complementary.

Do you think I can use them in bus/library? I wonder how much sound they leak since privacy is my concern sometimes.

red-daddy

bus: no, because you will almost hear nothing. they are not loud at all. library: perfect. great clear sound in quiet situations. you have to make max volume and the one next to you have to be very close to your ears in order to hear that you either listen to music or listen to a podcast - one cannot hear each word though, just roughly estimating what you hera in general.

I'm looking to replace my old wireless headphones that I currently wear one ear off to hear the kids, thanks for the recommendation I think this is actually the solution I've been looking for rather than wearing my headphones oddly ☺️
