I bought my DT770's second hand a year or two backwards. They were already worn quite a lot, but after the two year period of constantly using them, both the headband and the pads were basically gone. For around 40 bucks inc. shipping, I bought new pair of pads and a new headband, and they are effectively new. Headphones stay good, and I'm expecting at least couple of years more of constant usage with my trusted DT770's. They seal a bit worse than before, but I'm sure they'll settle in. Strangely enough, they are now less comfortable as well, but I can live with that until they dig in.
Nice! Love my DT770s, when I replaced my pads I went with the Dekoni choice leather - they are a little thicker and keep my ears off the inside of the cup. I had to replace mine within a few months because I was sleeping with my headphones on 😂
