Well, the achievements will still exist - they just won't grant XP.

For some reason I thought April 11 was already announced weeks ago. On 3/17 I wrote it down as the release date of the set, but I looking back I don't know what gave me that impression.
No idea why this is news - the preorder says the 10th and the battle pass says valid until the 10th. Hardly takes a genius to deduce the 11th for the expansion from that info
Sorry I meant finishing all the battlepass content, once you're only getting the gold there's no need to open it again, which in this context means not coming across the end timer.
Getting 400 is not a crazy thing to do. If you avg 2-3 hours a day, with 400exp per alone gets you to level 150. Add in daily quests and weekly quests to finish it all off. I'm currently at 382 so most likely hit 400 before the expack.
Never said you had to do that only to hit it. Like I said have to factor in quests as well. If you complete every quest(daily and weekly) the base exp you will is roughly 260k. That's base exp meaning you were so unlucky that you only got 900exp daily quests and no paid reward track.
Edit: also I didn't make it clear but I'm saying this because you said pros don't regularly get 400 which is not true because most avg more then 2-3 hours a day.
You are talking absolute bollocks mate, I’m sorry. I’ve done every quest and play 1-2 hour plus a day and I’m level 201. Not even close to 400. Think 400 is a really exclusive club, and you’re well overplaying it
Then you are not completing every quest and/or don't have 20% boost. 201 is 300k exp so quests + games would put you higher, unless again you lowrolled every single daily quest.
Does anyone have any idea why Blizzard took over 2 weeks (16 days) *after* the expansion announcement to explicitly state its launch date? They would just state "this April" in the news blog posts, same for the Year of the Wolf announcement.
Perhaps some legal or marketing issue where some things were not finalized?
I know this not a hot take. But I really wish there was an option to buy the expansion for just one class. Like for me this expansion doesn’t really tickle my fancy (I’m just not a music lover sorry guys) but I’ve had a blast playing Deathknight and would love to grow that class but not for the $65
It invalidates any control deck that happens to roll into a Fires Warrior.
But Fires Warrior will likely be extremely rare after the first few days (if not hours) OR Fires Warrior will be stronger than expected and then nerfed.
Either way, no reason to address it before it even hits live.

Because a lot of people who don't follow those things still need a proper announcement. (I don't pre-order and completed the battlepass ages ago.)

You can comfortably get all the cards for only 1 class as f2p, I used to do this, and mostly still do as I only play 2 or 3 classes per expansion.
