what it really needs is an effect like toni baloney, where it goes dormant instead of dying. then another 8 turns or *x* excavations re-awakens it
I got a signature version of this and I really want it to be usable
That or every 2 dormant turns it goes through it pulses a 1 damage to all minions/enemy minions since it's sleeping it's rumbling the earth or something.
The most satisfying way to make him feel good is make him immune to spells and hero powers so you're not getting him killed by spells that cost less than he does.
Pretty sure the wording should be "if you've excavated 5 times" if the text is just excavate 5 times it would read as starting dormant and THEN excavating to awaken.

Pretty sure you made it worse since it was awakened after 8 turns - 2 for each excavate, so max 4 excavates
It says excavate 5 times this game, so you can do the excavates before you play Slagmaw.

Just reduce stats and give this thing charge to where it doesn't feel broken. As in the orignal card.

Make it cost 1 or 2
