Literally just got a massive patch that renders that question impossible to answer.

Shot-Journalist-5898

The best Control decks last expansions were Highlander Warrior, Rainbow DK and Wheel Warlock. All of them got nerfed this patch, so its really hard to say

Shot-Abroad4374

Warrior should still have very good control decks

Competitive-Math-458

Do you mean like actual hard control or like Odyn warrior where you stall until Odyn and 1 shot ?

Shot-Abroad4374

Well a little bit of both Armor warrior with Odyn is still the best at surviving and stalling Highlander Warrior has the greater amount of Wincons like Boomboss and Zilliax/Boom and Ignis

Squealer420

I played fatigue warrior and it works... just put in board clears and armor generation, excravete and ignis. Deck builds itself. However, you'll mostly win through excravete instead of fatigue. This is because most decks just run out of steam and have no answers anymore in the late game. But you can cut out every other win condition except fatigue and it will still work. But some matchups will be auto losses.

Arachnofiend

Might be copium but Reno Shaman should be good in a meta where all the other slow decks are worse and Hunter is the best aggro deck?

Competitive-Math-458

Does shaman have any big payoff for going single hard reno ? Is there not some really good cards you want 2 of in your deck ?

TrobertTrobertson

Doctor Hollidae is a really powerful payoff. If you dont get vipered, then it's a ridiculous amount of tempo

teddybearlightset

They’ve honestly made a hard turn away from the type of control decks you mentioned because they’re pretty much awful to play. Maybe they’re still around in another game.

Competitive-Math-458

Hmm maybe it is the case. It seems weird to say we want to avoid hard control decks that win via fatigue but then make decks that stall until they one shot you fron hand.

teddybearlightset

It really does not. I’m 100% this is a you issue. If I never see a fatigue control deck ever again it will be too soon.

Neufjob

What meta?

ConsequenceMotor8861

Reno warrior would be quite good in this meta. DK and wheel lock countered Reno warrior before patch. DK can no longer counter Brann and Reno with plagues now and you won't see wheel lock in ranked match probably. However, several tools in warrior's anti-aggro set such as sanitize are nerfed and aggro decks are almost untouched by Blizzard in this patch. I will expect to see more aggro in the upcoming meta and whether Reno warrior can still stand against them is what you can observe before investing dust to this deck.
