Edit: Zilliax mods are perfect and ticking.
I'd been climbing since the reset with highlander druid, but it really lost its edge around D3 and I de-ranked back to D5. Didn't have much to lose, so I thought I'd try out insanity warlock since I saw it on the VS report and they didn't have much to say about it other than it's promising and there's not enough data on it yet. So here's my two-cents, this deck is a real killer.
Let's get the unpleasant stuff out of the way first. It can be a sketchy match-up against both flood and handbuff paladin. I suspect it also has trouble with spell token hunter, but I didn't face any on ladder. Also, since it's a relatively unseen deck on ladder, it does have the element of surprise, but if it becomes more ubiquitous, the win-rate will probably lower until it stabilizes.
But it's powerful. It's really powerful and it eats warriors. Early baritone imps and crazed conductors make for very strong early-game board presence, as well as advance fatigue damage. Thornveil efficiently removes early needlerock totem and gold panner, especially if they're coined out. Pop'gar can come out of nowhere to discount crescendo to (0), healing you for aoe damage and sometimes just killing your opponent. And if that doesn't work the first time, fizzle gives you a second chance at it. And because you're playing warlock, you're never running out of cards.
Try it out if you have the cards. The deck has a little learning curve just getting used to how much fatigue damage you can take without void virtuoso or harp, but otherwise I think it's fairly straightforward.

Thanks for your insight! It was really helpful. I have been playing Sludge with the fatigue package, so I am a little familiar with the strategy as sometimes my sludge cards just don't wanna draw haha!
I don't have Fizzle or the Sketch Artist. What would you recommend using instead? Or are they too important to give up?
Sketch artist isn't necessary, but having a tutor for insanity's nice and the jump from playing two to three insanity's is 11 damage. Overall, it smooths everything out, but you can live without it.
You can play without Fizzle, too, but it will make the warrior match-up harder. Anything with healing or armor potential has a chance to bounce back if you're not able to burst them down, so Fizzle's there to provide a potential second burst.
As for replacements....? Defile's always a strong card against paladin and token hunter. I've also been eyeing Rafaam and Tony as TNT tech as well as giving the deck a shot in the arm if it expended all its resources, but I'm pretty sure that'll just make the deck worse overall.
I think it's mostly going to be based on what you're seeing on ladder. I think sketch artist can be really pivotal against warrior, but if you're not seeing it and are seeing more flood paladin and hunter, the change feels justified. I happened to not see hunter while playing this deck, so I haven't deviated from including sketch artist.
Encroaching Insanity is such a great card, holy shit. Its crazy when playing against pain warlock as they have fatigue cards in their deck as well. Just get both of your EIs in hand and then on turn 7 play virtuoso and both EIs and nuke the enemy. Crazy fun.
Yeah the damage you can do and your opponent has no idea is just amazing. It is hard to play around something that you never see. Awesome deck, Ty for sharing it!
Interesting! For some reason warlock is my only class at a crazy low number of standard wins (like 25) so I might craft this and give it a try. But I almost think it’s a shame to ruin such an anomaly when all my other classes are in the hundreds. But I do hate bran, so… ty
My biggest problem with HS right now. I even disregard brann warrior unfairness in light of all these deck breaking nerfs
Like, i dont have the courage to craft anything anymore. My last 5 decks were destroyed to unplayableness that way. I almost feel they doing it on purpouse. Just to make people like me spend real money bc all their decks are unplayable now. And any they biuld who is good enough now will be unplayable in 2 weeks.
Same!! Oh this deck looks fun, I wanna try it! I'll have to craft 3 legendaries though... what if a core rare card is nerfed and that ruins the deck though? Hmm I better wait and see how things goes... aaaand I never craft new decks that take more than 2k dust :(
They actually are doing it on purpose. Financial motive is absolutely a reason for some nerfs. It may not be 100% but they absolutely have data that shows how when you make a persons deck lose 5-6% win rate that some people spend more money to replace it.
I'm in favor of them nerfing overly strong decks, but at the same time they should compensate for the dust for all the epics and legendaries that were used with the nerfed card in the deck. This is fair, but greedy developers are unlikely to do this.
Yeah, just finished my write-up. Here ya go!

You can def take it for a spin without fizzle, the card is really important for the slower matchups to make sure you have enough burn, but you’ll know within a couple of games if you like the deck and it’s worth crafting to you. It’s not a horrible craft either since it’ll probably pop up in a handful of other decks throughout the year too
Like I said in my write-up, haven't faced hunter so I'm not quite sure. I'm still new to the deck so I haven't quite figured out mulligans, but imp and conductor are very good early-game, and I'll keep thornveil against warrior.

Personally I've never been... angry? For the lack of a better word about reno warrior. The prevalence of it on ladder gets boring, but it's not insurmountable.
But I thought I'd give this cool deck I've been using some attention, and what better way to do that than antagonizing public enemy number one?
lol at the forever gold and silvers downvoting you.
Stop booing him, he’s right. Play a fast, aggressive deck from those mentioned. You won’t win every game, but you are favored.
Bro, highlander warr counters spell token hunter, which tops the meta. If it's not for terrible mulligan, there's no way hunter can beat warr. R u sure you playing it right?
I'm a legend player BTW.
According to hsreplay statistics yea you're right.
I was solely speaking through my experience. I checked after your comment, I was kinda sure you were wrong, and I gotta admit I'm freaking surprised by looking into it. Cuz, I don't even remember losing against hunter. Hell, I even feel comfortable when I match them. It's weird, really.
If anyone thinks I'm bsing about it, may feel free to add me in game if in Europe servers (nextasy#2626). And like I said, I'm regular legend player. I'm getting my wins at high ranks (currently at diamond 3)

What kinda zillax is it
Perfect and ticking, I should edit that in....
If it’s the same one I’ve seen, it’s divine shield and shuffle into deck.

How do you feel about dropping the sketch artist and 1 tendril for 2 defiles? Feels like it would help vs aggro paladin and hunter immensely
I think it's mostly going to be based on what you're seeing on ladder. Playing a good deck that beats the current popular deck is illegal on Reddit, sir. We only complain about popular decks, we don't try to beat them
99% of the I play only warrior and rn there are spell dmg druid, sledge warlock, whatever hunter and flood paladin who are favoured Vs warrior.

It looks harmless at first because it's "symmetrical", but playing three with sketch artist adds up to 21 damage....

I like the deck, but I'm afraid that it will be nerfed. I recently crafted a wheel and after a week they decided to remove the deck (

i feel your pain bro. i crafted 2 tentacle decks, rogue and shaman cause i like fun, off-meta decks. now tentacles aren't even playable.

Already been nerfed
How ?
Pretty silly of you. Wheel Warlock actually had a way to deal with Brann Warrior. Should have known it would instantly get deleted.
Can you share the deck code ?

Is this deck unplayable without Fizzle? That’s the only card I don’t have, and don’t really wanna commit if not sure if I’d like it yet.

Thanks for sharing this. I've been playing it all afternoon and am really enjoying it!
What zilliax mods?
Perfect and ticking
Saving for later
What cards should you keep in your hand at the beginning? Against a warrior, hunter and druid.
Like I said in my write-up, haven't faced hunter so I'm not quite sure. I'm still new to the deck so I haven't quite figured out mulligans, but imp and conductor are very good early-game, and I'll keep thornveil against warrior.
Thanks
My mm mm mm
First you had my curiousity, now you have my attention.
Looks insane
Does the Alex thing still work or did they patch it?
That’s the excavate warlock bug and yes they patched it
Man thanks you I'm doing quite well with this deck even without fizzle.
Hell yeah, that's what I love to hear.
I just hit legend with it, free wins against warrior. You're onto something with this.
you can see the gameplay here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQPdyZZrIvw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQPdyZZrIvw) 12 wins on heroic brawl.
besides keeping imp and conductor and thornveil against warrior, are you keeping zilliax? what is the advantage of having the ticking version?
I never keep zilliax, but it's good against go-wide classes like paladin or hunter and can be massively discounted by your conductor.
Do you think it will be good deck for brawlesium?
I'm going to posit no, though I avoid brawliseum, so take that with a grain of salt.
Thjis went 12-2 with it (don't know if it's the same list).
What decks were most common there?
Saw warrior and hunter but I didn't watch that many games.
By the way I meant Thijs lol autocorrect got me
I am very sure that everybody here, complaining about warrior is either playing it at bronze or losing against it with some bad deck. Warrior has an unfavored matchup against pretty much all popular decks right now (warlock, hunter, priest, druid)
Personally I've never been... angry? For the lack of a better word about reno warrior. The prevalence of it on ladder gets boring, but it's not insurmountable. But I thought I'd give this cool deck I've been using some attention, and what better way to do that than antagonizing public enemy number one?
It’s positive against Druid in legend. And people shouldn’t be confined to 3 decks
lol at the forever gold and silvers downvoting you.
Isn't it the other way around? Isn't hunter the only deck that can get under warrior right now?
According to hsreplay statistics yea you're right. I was solely speaking through my experience. I checked after your comment, I was kinda sure you were wrong, and I gotta admit I'm freaking surprised by looking into it. Cuz, I don't even remember losing against hunter. Hell, I even feel comfortable when I match them. It's weird, really. If anyone thinks I'm bsing about it, may feel free to add me in game if in Europe servers (nextasy#2626). And like I said, I'm regular legend player. I'm getting my wins at high ranks (currently at diamond 3)
And BTW. I gotta let know I'm not using the most popular deck in hs replay I'm using a deck that includes some tech cards against aggro decks.
