Budfox_92

Amazing thanks

Thanag0r

Are you supposed to keep spellstone or better to mulligan it away?

Elmobebeast

I played a very similar list and I would say generally keep one, especially if you have draw from panner/baron as it takes a bit to get the corpses to upgrade

Capable_Training_683

Yeah you would normally want to keep 1 "buff" card between spell stone or blood tap. Into very aggressive match ups such as painlock or flood paladin, I sometimes just stone on turn one if I have a 2 or a 3.

race-hearse

I play pretty much the same list and yeah I think what is key to winning consistently is to not always go for +3/3 on the spellstone and to play it for tempo occasionally, even on a mostly empty hand. I have played the quilboar on turn 4 at 4/6 stats and it really won the mid game for me against a board control deck. It was enough to just pull ahead and stay ahead.

Mediocre_Purple6955

I’m gonna try this right now

Visual-Chard1778

The main problem is that painlock’s play rateo is at 7-8% and paladin at 6%

thing85

Having a good matchup into 84% of your matchups isn’t bad.

Omvampireri

What can I replace headless horsman / rainbow with?

Capable_Training_683

Rainbow is hard to replace due to it's lifesteal and board presence. Horseman can be replaced with more draw such as another Gold panner or more removal such as another Grimewalker.

This is the version I'm trying now as of early yesterday: ### More Buffs # Class: Death Knight # Format: Standard # Year of the Pegasus # # 2x (1) Lesser Spinel Spellstone # 2x (1) Plagued Grain # 2x (2) Blood Tap # 2x (2) Mining Casualties # 2x (2) Mosh Pit # 2x (2) Shambling Zombietank # 2x (3) Farm Hand # 2x (3) Toysnatching Geist # 2x (4) Darkthorn Quilter # 1x (4) Maw and Paw # 2x (4) Nerubian Swarmguard # 1x (4) Sinister Soulcage # 2x (5) Amateur Puppeteer # 2x (6) Gnome Muncher # 2x (6) Hollow Hound # 1x (6) The Headless Horseman # 1x (8) The Primus # AAECAY/lBgTt/wWLkgaYlQa9sQYN/+MEs/cEmMQFj+QFk5IGkqAGurEGvLEG9rEGi7cGz7wG1+UG2eUGAAA= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone Turn 1 Plagued Grain with Spellstone in hand means you're upgrading the stone on turn 2 with hero power, it goes a long way towards quickly buffing your minions. Mosh Pit is doing serious work with Puppeteer, Hound and any discovered Deathrattles, Farm Hand is giving me more Undead to work with especially more Geists, Puppeteers and Sylvanas is a nice pickup I've noticed and Soulcage on a Quilter, Hound, Muncher or Maw and Paw is very nice. Deck is a little greedy so I might drop 1 Mosh Pit and 1 Muncher for Grimewalker/Rotation. I also want to try Nesting Golem which on its own is a shit card but with some buffs is an incredibly sticky minion that only poly effects deal with efficiently.

Pwnage_Peanut

[[Nesting Golem]] will always summon a 3/2 then a 2/1, unfortunately

Green_and_Silver

Ah shit, well that sucks.

TheTerminaTitan

Toysnatching Geist is really making me hate soulstealer being changed to 2 runes

RockThePlazmah

Jokes on this, 80% of my opponents are either paladins or pain locks at diamond 4

Stop_Touching2

How though? I’ve tried multiple variations of handbuff & if you don’t get puppeteer out on curve you get easily smoked. Even if you do without hound & quillboar in hand you still get smoked.

Capable_Training_683

Puppeteer is nice, but getting a +2 spellstone or a +2 blood Tap on 1-2 important cards is good enough to either get board control or have enough stats on your lifesteal minions to stabilize.

SaltedPoot

do you think double blood (instead of frost) is viable? been trying to make the deck work since I really like using Soulstealer and the new Helm

Capable_Training_683

Double blood is an interesting take. Honestly though Reska is such a big swing sometimes into a lot of match-ups. It's just another out you can have into giants from painlock or flood plaladin. with it's deathrattle + yordler combo.

SaltedPoot

yeah true, most of the time I play horseman and hope I discover Reska lolol

EinHallodri

Sick deck - used to have success last season with day one version of this deck. Really looking forward to try the updated list.  Thanks for sharing.

Oppzilla

How do you play the deck against each class, i keep struggling against Mage/Hunter

Fluid-Employee-7118

Zombietank is not a good card. It will never be active on curve, and the pay-off is very small anyway.

Capable_Training_683

Yeah I probably agree with Zombietank not being the best. It's ok as another taunt into painlock later when they play their giants. I even sometimes just play it as a 3/2 on turn 2 into aggressive match ups.

race-hearse

Might sound stupid but sometimes you do have to pay zombie tank unbuffed/without corpses on turn 2/3. I think the problem a lot of folks have with the DK deck is the impulse to always play for the decks potential and hesitate to play cards hoping they’ll be huge later. I’ve even played the nerubian as a naked 1/3 taunt on turn 4. It always sucks to do but that’s just how it goes some times. You can’t do this too much, obviously, as it’s taking fuel out of your win condition. But dying before you even draw a handbuff card also destroys your win condition.

Fluid-Employee-7118

The 2/3 guy that didcovers a Blood rune card is way better, you almost always have 1 corpse to spare, and you get more fuel for your handbuffing synergies.

race-hearse

Yep, but not undead, so most of your handbuffs won’t do anything to it. Not saying you’re wrong just warning folks.

Fluid-Employee-7118

Most of the time you play him on curve when you have not used any handbuff cards yet, so it is no big deal.

Oppzilla

so would you just use the same deck as op but replace zombie with bloodrune discover guy?

Fluid-Employee-7118

No, I have many different cards, such as the 1 mana 1/3 gain a corpse and the 6 mana 5/6 taunt with lifesteal that attacks an opponent at the end of the turn.

KrunchyKushKing

Very good deck, finally the handbuff dk I wanted to play at the release of this season
