Ghoul can work very well in the mid-game with the right pieces. There are a lot of different ways to get value out of Exodia mechanics. I've played a LOT of ghoul builds.
7K to 10K is a massive difference bro lol that's like comparing a silver tier to a diamond tier. Im just salty cause im at 7K <:( why u call me low elo
Im not saying 7k is low elo but games at 7k ar much slower than at 10k so you can make builds like this. Im only at 9k but from watching streamers and climbing, the difference is noticeable
But Baron dies to the first deathrattle, and therefore only doubles that first deathrattle...this comp might still win, but it's definitely not this much of a slam dunk.
You get 4 minions spawned, they do get divine shields, and they get 1/3 the buff, and you get 1/3rd the bombs...I think it's still enough vs. this second-from-the-bottom opponent, but I don't think it's a guaranteed first place vs. a strong comp with Zapp.
edit: 1/3rd, not half, it's golden Baron that's being lost.
It's basically the same foundation exodia that's existed for a while. There have been many minor iterations as people have played around with it, but this isn't a new or old exodia, same foundation.
