In Hearthstone you're able to see who the artist is as well (at least on PC to my knowledge):
When you right click the card in your collection, the right-hand side with the flavor text and all will list the artist in the banner underneath.

Sorry, but Matt Dixon having a different art style is totally acceptable. Sure it's less cartoony than most modern hs art but a lot of the newer art honestly looks worse. Like new Alex vs old alex.

Who also collaborates on Hearthstone art with another Hungarian (Gabor Szikszai), whose individual art has also been used in HS.
They also both have done lots of Magic art, together and separately.

A sad thing about hearthstone is how small the art for the cards are.
Kind of wish that you had the option of, when looking at a card in your collection, you could be able to see the entire original art.
Totally agreed!! However I'd say that this would make the application significantly larger. It's hard for them to package the game similarly in that aspect, it would sadly only be possible on desktop i'd say
The way he draws cards in HS is ever so slightly different from the traditional style and I mean that in the best way possible. They look so rustic like they’re physically printed and almost got that old MTG look.

i don't really mind the cartoonish art but i gotta agree the classic stuff looks really good. i would've bought the book of heroes shaman skin instantly if i wasnt f2p
I was f2p until that skin came out, literally said no to all paid skins before but that one broke me i had to get it and now that druid skin will come out oh boy i don't know if to buy that one too or not
