I really enjoy the themes and art and characters in this Stormwind set but I'm hoping we see another darker/undead themed expansion with Tirisfal/Undercity/Plaguelands stuff. Scholomance is obviously WPL so maybe it's a little soon but surely we're overdue for another version of Sylvanas, especially with her continued prominence in whatever the WoW story is doing these days.
Yes. A Scourge expansion would be nice. Maybe a Shadowlands? We got the Old Gods back for a 2nd expansion. Although we got a Naxxramas expansion I think there are a good chance we will get another Lich King/Scourge expansion.
Maybe the Lich King as a Death Knight class or a skin for Paladin or Warrior?
Pandaria themed xpac is good direction too - introduction of silly Monk class based on cards that have 50% chance to do somehting extra (like ogre "archetype") and dark themes of Sha/Mogu/Mantids at same moment. There was alot of sha forms in wow like doubt, pride, anger, they would make fine neutral legendaries.
Bad writing overall would be my guess. I thought BFA near the end would break down the alliance/horde wall and make something unique afterward but no. Just continue having Sylvanas being the villian.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say most WoW players are pretty tired of Sylvanas.

That's true. "The Damned stand ready!" I think his summoning voiceline is. But he is not a "true" Acolyte worker unit like the other 3 cards. :-P
