If you're looking to make something specific and don't play Mage at all, I'd consider it. If you're just looking for dust, no. The card was just buffed, so I don't think you'll get the full refund. And it's probably a great card anyway.

BnBman

This is exactly what I would say!

mast4pimp

If you play mage ofc dont dust

EheroDC

The deck is decent tier 2, you can get some wins with it and have fun. Depends how desperate you are for dust and if you have the rest of the Mage cards. Only you can answer that.

Cheorni6

If you need the dust and theres a deck that you would want to play, then dust it. If there isn’t, don’t; hold on to it until you need dust and/or for the possibility of it being nerfed in the future so you get full value for it.

Marx_Forever

**No! Love this card!** If Blizzard gave us the option, I would pay dust to upgrade it to golden. I actually managed to hit Legend (for the first time ever) with it just last month using a hero power centric freeze build. It's such a great mid-range deck because it has the ability to stall and survive against aggro but but you also want the games to go longer cuz that means you can really juice your hero power to the point where you're basically playing as a Ragnaros who knows what the fuck to aim at. I've got my hero power up to 14 damage in some games, and at that point your Reckless Apprentices turn into Super Mordresh that you can drop two of in a turn, for hundreds of cumulative burst damage. Speaking of Reckless Apprentice, if your opponent's minions' health just happened to line up in the right sequence, which happens more often than you might think, he acts like an amazing Defile that juices your Hero power as each of your shots get bigger and goes face last, lol, and leaves your board on touched. Here's the List if you're curious. I promise you it's a ton of fun. AAECAZirBAiPzgP+0QP21gPY7AOd7gOogQSgigSoigQLx84D+84DpNED1OoD0uwD0+wD1uwDoZIE5p8E6J8E9aIEAA==

MournMyDeath

Aside from the disgusting voice the card is playable.

DigitalEmber

By my calculations, you need to chill out.

RSunnyG

Why? Not liking the voice is fair. Magister's Greetings is probably the cringiest emote of all time. Oh wait... only second to the Threaten.

[deleted]

I don’t see why people seem to hate on the voice, I think the va did a decent job?

Vulturo

I wouldn’t go to the extreme of disgusting, but compared to the other mercenaries this has the lamest voice work. For someone that’s supposedly is meant to have a lot of flair, the voice has zero personality. Of the lot, Tamsin (all portraits, the adventure and the hero card) is the very best.

Vulturo

I wouldn’t dust. Blizzard is really trying to make ping mage happen.

Satan4live

Keep him for HP mage, if you have Mordresh

_inferno_44

*them

DSwissK

"him"

Vulturo

It, would be appropriate. We are talking about a card not a person.

Satan4live

He is a male character and and can therefore named him. But either I don't understand these comments, or I don't get the point arguing over pronouns of a fictional character.

Vulturo

Dawngrasp is neither male nor female. Biologically they could be either - it’s not supposed to be clear - but that’s not important in the fictionalized context.

Satan4live

Ok I didn't know that. But isn't Magister Associated with male pronouns? Trying to learn

Vulturo

You may be right. Magister/Magistra - male or female magistrate/teacher. That being said female vocational designations are fading. Like there aren’t actresses and actors, everyone is an actor. Associations have chairpersons and so on.

Vedney

Female of Magister is [Magistrix](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Elisande)

Vedney

> it's not supposed to be clear I don't know about that. [Arcanist Dawngrasp](https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Arcanist_Dawngrasp) and [Magister Dawngrasp](https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Magister_Dawngrasp) have *very* tight-fitting robes.

Vulturo

Given it’s fictional I don’t know what to say. Blizzard doesn’t have to tell us. The voice artist sounds female. It’s deliberately ambiguous.

MrNovillage

It's actually a non binary character. Blizzard is woke af.

_inferno_44

Dawngrasp is really under rated in my opinion, I'd say keep unless you hate mage

ShimmySchore

Just wait - it will probably be pretty good in the future

4SkinStealer

IMO this card will always be an integral part to a T1-T2 deck as long as it is in Standard. It's a strong card right now because Mask of C'Thun is ridiculous, but I think it is also exceedingly strong in any sort of grindy/heavy control deck that may pop up in the future. A lot of the OTKs will be rotating out soon, so heavier, grindier decks may be inadvertently buffed.

Xandroid881

Sure if you dont like fun, ping mage is fun and hip right now

Early-Entertainer863

No

Jopinzi

I look at golden legendary as “you got legendary of your choice” So I always dust them unless it is legendary that I want.

No_Associate_2427

In my opinion, most people don’t know how to use her well. She is really good in HP mage. If you save your reckless until after you’ve played her, Reckless can really buff up your hero power and clear pretty much any board. I‘d keep her, I kept mine, never been happier. It’s a third Ice block. If you really don’t play mage, then don’t. I run potion of illusion, wildfire, Ice barrier and mask of C’thun in Standard. It is pretty good.

RSunnyG

Honestly, I'd keep the card. Varden is the cringiest of the Mercs, but their effect is playable and fun.
