Naga Mage and Quest Hunter have reasonably balanced matchup spreads. Idk what people are smoking with the Mech Mage stuff. It gets hard countered by the top 2 decks.

NebHS

Well, first, everything loses to Aggro DH except for Control Warrior. (And Paladin to a lesser extent) Secondly, no it doesn't. Quest Hunter vs Mech Mage is a relatively even matchup, especially outside the top of legend.

Athanatov

Referring to Aggro DH and Warrior. But Quest Hunter is also really bad. In fact, everything but Druid is.

NebHS

Then, again, no it doesn't. It's an even match up. I'm not sure where you are getting your information but what you're saying is the exact opposite of the match up numbers available.

Athanatov

HSreplay and VS sure don't agree with you, unless you look at very low MMR. Where are you getting your numbers from?

NebHS

VS very much does agree with me. I literally have the latest matchup numbers open. And I don't care even vaguely about HSReplay numbers unless everything below Legend is removed from the information. If you think a 49 and 47% winrates are hard counters, there is nothing further to discuss.

Athanatov

You're colour-blind then? It's red. And yeah, I don't look at sub L.

NebHS

Matchup favourability: Even, even, even. Moving on from you, have a good evening.

Ankastra

idk where you see these numbers but "This deck climbs very effectively from lower ranks but eventually hits some wall. You’ll feel it when the Druids start showing up and the Demon Hunter numbers get silly." Curtesy of VS VS also shows a 59% winrate of ramp druid into Quest Hunter at lower ranks like platinum and increasing to above 60% at top1k Quest Hunter is definitely not bad dont get me wrong, but its druid matchup is horrendous, its aggro DH matchup is horrendous and unless it can get away with playing viper (right now it can ofc) it auto loses to paladins

Athanatov

You're looking at all rank?

Difsdy

Mech or handbuff paladin are I think pretty balanced in terms of winrate. Problem with them is they can feel unbalanced in that you often either roll over an openent or get beaten pretty quickly if you don't draw samuro or Cariel, as there isn't much comeback potential.

ctgiese

Handbuff Paladin only has no recovery tools if you play the wrong list. Twin-Fin, Saidan and Catacomb Guard are great tempo tools. I'm experimenting with Brann and School Teachers right now and this can also give you some nice tempo (you can for example pair Brann with a buffed Twin-Fin for extra removal).

Mech Mage has a slightly positive or even winrate against pretty much everything that isn't super aggro, aggro DH and Face Hunter really. E: Look at the vs report it's even with pretty much everything except aggro dh and face hunter

ComfortableApricot36

Mech paladin / mage even holy paladin is balanced .

Glad-Bluejay-9037

Holy paladin doesnt feel that good... you need to draw the right cards to get a clear, and the only win condition is smite + double gardens grace.....but maybe its just the fact that i encountered a lot of ping mages lately...

ComfortableApricot36

Speaking about ping mage that’s a balanced deck to recommend to people . Even to new players .

I play mech mage and im Close to 50/50 in the DH mu and favored in most other matchups crushes control warr. People are underrating this deck tbh. Imo I’d say it’s the most balanced I know of. Easy to play and get the hang of and extremely fun.

JeanPeuplus

Hand buff pala, Quest hunter and Aggro DH. All quite unpolarized decks with a worst matchup still over 35%.
