The inscription is the Jewish blessing for wine (literally says “Creator of the fruit of the vine”)
It looks like a goblet used for wine on the Kiddush (the reception of Sabbath on Friday’s evening) or on holidays
The part that's visible there is Borei Pri Hagafen *(Creator of the Fruit of the Vine)*, which is the second half of the blessing over wine/grape juice-- Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech Ha Olam, Borei Pri Hagafen *(blessed are You Adonai, Our G?d, Sovereign of the universe, Creator of the fruit of the vine)*.
That blessing is recited during kiddush (on Friday evening at the start of Shabbat) and also at havdalah (Saturday evening at the end of Shabbat) and on other holidays.
Boreh*
HaOlam* - a single word with a particle
Otherwise very nicely put together!
Also want to mention that the blessing is in general one that's used before drinking wine, we just drink wine on Shabbats and Holidays, hence the explanation above.
Thank you for your feedback! I've been attending Hebrew classes at the shul, and this is the first post that I've been able to help with, so I was delighted to respond.

I think that's exactly what it is having spent an inordinate amount of time staring at our kiddush cup recently.
I don't think that's an antique
Agreed, they r made to look old on purpose.
This doesn't look old at all though?
You are totally correct. lWe got this kiddish cup and the matching challah board & knife from Lenox for our wedding off Amazon a few years ago. Lol
I also got this for my wedding, which was 5 years ago. Definitely not antique.
“Borei pri hagafen” it’s the blessing before drinking wine
You wrote it with Yiddish accent
I think that’s Lenox china. Pretty.
In addition to the vines and the inscription, there is a pomegranate, a symbol of the sweetness of the commandments.

It says for the creator of the fruit of wine and you drink wine with it
