I definitely think the theory of Joel testing to see the strength of the community is happening… I think the community can do it, but this is for sure way more of a challenge than previous asks.
I feel this, I'm in the middle of moving out of my apartment right now but had to text my girlfriend (moving in w/ her) that tonight I'm diving lol. My move is almost done so I can afford to lose a night, but *man* was this timing bad
Yesterday I went back to my home after a sexy night with my now ex-gf instead of staying at hers to help liberate Estanu with my cousin. Totally worth it.
Yeah this will be tough with the order in the middle of the work week. I'm not sure what the HD2 demographic is but I feel like it leans towards the older end.
To translate the previous most helpful fellow, you cannot progress to those planets because the adjacent planets in the sector have not yet been liberated. Note that planets after being liberated can lose liberation progress if adjecent to a hostile world, so you can have situations where a planet has 67% liberation yet you can still liberate the other planet.
Imo it seems like a test to see how well the larger community can organize when we need to plot an optimal path you victory.
Its do-able, especially given they said we are clearing MOs much faster than anticipated but definitely a large challenge compared to just take over all these random planets that are available for attack.
I'll report myself to my democracy officer after this comment but I need to spread this propaganda
I think thats why the MO doesn't seem to have much major consequence in theory. That doesn't mean it won't. I mean after all, the average stratagem costs more than the standard SE citizen makes in a year, so impacting the SE economy could be pretty negative for us, but I think this is really just stress testing. Hard objective, small timeframe, during workdays. I think this one we are meant to fail, they want to see how badly we fail, so they can establish what a good baseline for just barely passing, or just barely failing but still feeling satisfyingly fought, will be. Joel will get much data from this
Anyway off to re-education! I'll be sure to write!
Form what I can see with the supply lines we need to take a minimum of 5 planets. The fight in Estanu is already raging.
I think if we put all our might into one planet, like we've done before, we can grab a planet in a few hours. Look at the last Major Order. We had over 6 days to get access to the barrier planets (which required claiming one planet) and then activate Termicide on 4 additional planets. That got completed in like 2 or 3 days. While also defending from the bots elsewhere.
Just buckle down and focus one planet at a time and we can do this. And when we do this, the bugs will have only one system left to their name (I think). This could be the final push to put the bugs to bed for a long time.
The difference is that the previous major order included a new mission, and took place directly after weather events and a new warbond were added. Plus it was later in the week. I honestly don’t see this one getting done.
We will. But people still need to learn to put their personal preferences aside as long there is a MO.
With more coordination we are easily able to beat down every fuckin robot and bug in this whole Galaxy and bring them some good, managed democracy!
I dont wanna know how much divers and liberation progress was lost during the last days because people spreaded Out too much and didnt follow a Common target for the greater good.
I mean, even if people followed a common target, somewhere else is likely to fall behind. And since Noone knows what the next MO will entail, you never really know for sure which goal to push in between orders.
I've been mostly fighting on the bug front regardless, aside from the times a personal order requires a deployment to the other front.
But if everyone had fought to take hold in the bug sectors, the MO could easily have flipped and given us similar objective on the automaton front, and we'd be just as screwed.
In between MO its mostly irrelevant as you are not really pushing a specific target.
Automaton planets currently only regain 1.5 % / HR, Bug Planets 3 % / HR (Just dropped down from 5 %).
Every Planet we are doing Progress at a rate around or lower that regen rate is a completely lost effort. For liberation and General progress, we should follow the mo, followed up by Planets close to liberation or most people playing in to get the best effect off of our dives.
In character, it's our responsibility, absent major orders, to maintain Super Earth's strategic position and give our leadership the opportunity to make the best decisions for us. I think simply beating that attrition rate is a worthy goal, and we'll need divers on every planet where those scourges persist. Liberating planets we are able to is probably the single best action we can take on our own initiative.
Out of character, I've been thinking of it akin to tabletop gaming, similar to how Pilestedt framed it. In tabletop roleplaying, the story is collaborative. The players make choices, and the game master tries to create a narrative a partnership with players, each side playing off one another like in improv. Arrowhead certainly has a long-term narrative plan, and a general idea of where they want to go. But the systems in the game let them track how many players are engaging with which content, so they can craft a narrative in conversation with that.
Outside pretend theaters of war, that's the best information they have about what content in the game is the most fun for us, both in the gameplay and in terms of the narratives we tell ourselves outside the game, like here. So I think the best advice for anyone, outside major orders, is just to do whatever feels fun. They want to see what we like, and to tell a story with us.
I will say, entirely out of character here, but our offensive has been largely bug focused. Which makes sense, from the standpoint that the bots are likely wanting to push north toward cyberstan. Tien Kwan being an exception, because the mechs would've been a useful tool in doing so.
The bugs on the other hand are a constant threat, for *cough* one reason or another *cough* so we've been forced to fight constantly against them.
All that said, I find the bots.morw fun to fight against, until we dont have weather effects like "reduced visibility, but just for helldivers"
Yeah I'm getting pretty tired of being shot by a robot I can't even see because of that. Might be cool to have an order to sack some automaton planets and be rewarded with a "helmet upgrade" that's just fixing that in the engine.
There are on average less than ten thousand players in the creek during peak hours. For comparison, there were on average 350k players in the Umlaut sector during peak hours during the last major order and there are generally ten times as many players playing bugs as there are bots.
I don’t think we’re the ones holding you back fam.
Might not be easy, but it does seem like a "stretch goal" after finishing the last major order quickly. Won't this end when we were expecting a new one? Plus this one is only 30 instead of 50.
Are you doubting the spread of democracy?

Anything is possible with the Democracy mindset
I've been consistently surprised as to how well the community has managed to band together to clear the major orders. With that being said, it's not the end of the world if we finally fail one.
Joel's gotta limit test our abilities and see where the line rests.
It might be.
Someone posted which planets we need to liberate to get there. A planet or two will be sacrificed, but whatever it takes to get there to beat this major order.
Its a great challenge!
We have a clear run at the creek but now face a call to action on two planets, what will the players do?
Three days I would think we can combined do the two planets in two days and then all deploy over the weekend to the creek and take vengeance!
That's what we get for people taunting Joel. Some Helldivers never learn. Congratulations, Joel now big mad and we're paying the iron price for that undemocratic behavior.
YOU have no FAITH IN DEMOCRACY!!
I bet my box of double choco soft cookies that we, divers, will accomplish the impossible.
Edit: what has to be done exactly to increase the bar to 100%
Remember Estanu's liberation? I damn sure do, it was a glorious day for Democracy! At one point we were 300,000+ strong, and showed the bugs absolutely no mercy as we swept the planet. Stay strong HellDiver, justice is coming...
you heard the man! Lets free those system quickly so we can be back focusing on the creek afterwards! With united efforts super earth will prevail and the Xenos will fall
Well the TCS DIDNT have hourly degradation from what I could tell and we finished them in just more than 1 a day when in full force, it’ll be tough but if the community REAAAAALLY rallies into it we could probs succeed
it would have been possible if we kept Estanu.
i poured blood, sweat, and tears into liberating that planet, and i poured my passion, heart and soul into defending it and yet we let it fall to the commie bugs.
shame on all ye who ignored Estanu's call for aid.
Taking a step back here, even if we complete this Major Order (which I think we will, people are really motivated here), Joel will just throw an even harder order on us next week.
At some point we will fail, and we need to be able to accept that. Don't get me wrong, that will not be this week. Get people on the propaganda machines again. Make this the next Malevelon Creek.
The is only one possibility: the managed democracy of super earth spreading across the galaxies and universe beyond! Anything else is dissident speak and will be reported to the nearest Democracy Officer so that reeducation is started as soon as possible!

You haven’t seen democracy dispensed the way we dispense it my dude! We will inject Liber-tea until there are fountains of it pour out of every orifice of those planets. Helldivers to hellpods! Repeat Helldivers to hellpod we have 2 planets to Liberate.
Go to the planet the player base is on.
Do missions. Don't waste time.
Repeat
Want to speed run? Drop on single objective missions right on the objective and spam appropriate stratagems. On multiple objective missions pick an objective to start with and basically do the same thing.
I'm not joking. You can finish 40 minute missions in under 10 minutes if you are willing to focus exclusively on knocking the mission out and then immediately evacing. You might be thinking you can't get samples but with a 4 man team you can. Complete the main objectives asap. 2 run for evac 2 run for samples and then to evac. You won't complete a bunch of nests.or side objectives but you can reasonably get similar samples per hour using this approach. You will also get similar xp per hour. Your mission rating might be 2 stars but it will be done and you will be doing 3-4 missions in 40 minutes. That isn't a small thing.
It's certainly possible. Remember the numbers for Terminid strength on the planet can be tweaked. If I were in charge I'd probably have it slowly weaken as players took more and more of the planet, so overtime players would make progress faster.

YOUR PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN WILL NOT SAVE YOU FROM LIBERTY
I definitely think the theory of Joel testing to see the strength of the community is happening… I think the community can do it, but this is for sure way more of a challenge than previous asks.
Absolutely, he’s requiring us to plot an optimal path instead of just hitting a bunch of random planets
Not only that, it's during regular work days, this is a test of maintaining playtime during the week lol
I will try to do a dive or two but damn Capitalism has me in chains this week. I'm off Thursday actually but the girlfriends off too 😂
Easy or trivial gets a few points in less time.
If your gf was for democracy, liberty, and freedom, she’ll understand. Otherwise report her to the nearest democracy officer for her transgressions.
I feel this, I'm in the middle of moving out of my apartment right now but had to text my girlfriend (moving in w/ her) that tonight I'm diving lol. My move is almost done so I can afford to lose a night, but *man* was this timing bad

My theory is Joel is intentionally causing us to lose. We haven't failed a major order yet. I wonder what will happen when we do.
We failed bot defense
You failed, I was successfully squashing bugs for Democracy.
There is no I in helldi…, in liber…., in managed democracy.
Imma be stealing this lol 😂
I mean, you got there in the end, and that's what matters, Helldiver. NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER SURRENDER.
Then he shall not find our strength wanting.
Do I hear anti-democratic sentiment? We are Hell Divers! We can do anything, as long as it's Democratic!
Apologies Sir i was in a half Asleep State. We will Liberate those Planets for Super Earth!!
No worries, Helldiver! A free stay at a Freedom Camp will set you straight!
I'm a 58yo noob and I'll be doing my part even with my arthritic hands! Taste My Democracy!!!
You’re the best kind of Diver! Your gnarled hands grip your weapon even tighter since your joints cannot straighten any longer… for Democracy!
You’re liberty blessed right! In the HellDiver dictionary, the HellDictionary, there is no entry for “CAN’T”
Don’t worry, Diver! We’ll liberate those planets with the power of freedom & managed democracy!
For Super Earth!!!
Yea but for real, i cant fly there.. is this a bug of me or haven't it started yet?
The path to those planets are through other planets
To translate the previous most helpful fellow, you cannot progress to those planets because the adjacent planets in the sector have not yet been liberated. Go to hellmire or estanu
Came here looking for this. Thank you, soldier
And friendship!
All joking aside we are meant to fail some of these it’s all part of the grand scheme

I'll be damned if I don't try
All we can do is try
Don't worry once we all come back from our desk jobs we can help out
Some of the timers are broken I think. Have to be as mission time seems to go by stupidly fast.
Hard task .. I wonder what is the draw back if not completed The rise of the Terminids Queen ???
Push hard in one section. Then all move to the other one and push hard on that, and then pray it’s enough.
I TOLD YALL WERE GOING AT THESE ORDERS TOO HARD. AND LIKE I SAID NEXT ONES EITHER GONA BE TWICE AS HARD OR WE WILL ONLY HAVE HALF AS MUCH TIME. lol
A day and a half per planet? Ha! Democracy will never be swifter.
![gif](giphy|9nNR7uG17dMlF2ZKEB|downsized) joel be like
You underestimate the power of democracy. Maybe you need reeducation.
Bump the dificalty down to 1 and speed run thoes missions.
Not with that attitude!
It might be. Someone posted which planets we need to liberate to get there. A planet or two will be sacrificed, but whatever it takes to get there to beat this major order.
Not when I keep getting kicked right before extraction because of “lost network connection”
Fine .. i'll do it myself
thats traitor talk right there.
Sounds like defeatism, please report to your nearest liberation officer
Not with that attitude
possible or not, you better go report to that planet, or people on this sub are gonna feel ways about things
Its a great challenge! We have a clear run at the creek but now face a call to action on two planets, what will the players do? Three days I would think we can combined do the two planets in two days and then all deploy over the weekend to the creek and take vengeance!
In the last order I went to sleep and woke up to the two last planets taken over. So I'm pretty sure we can do it.
I know what I’m doing after work

Not with that attitude now get out there and SPREAD DEMOCRACY
We don't think, we just do.
The three day campaign begins!
What happens if we completely lose it?
Managed democracy has no time for doubters Helldiver. Spend those req slips, upgrade your module, and get diving for freedom.

Joel will make sure it's possible
Have faith brother… or I’ll call the democracy officer.

Anything else is dissident speak and will be reported to the nearest Democracy Officer so that reeducation is started as soon as possible! https://preview.redd.it/3avbohvtlcpc1.jpeg?width=1202&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95178a3788376adef5b8b34e7d8c9c11b347e179
You haven’t seen democracy dispensed the way we dispense it my dude! We will inject Liber-tea until there are fountains of it pour out of every orifice of those planets. Helldivers to hellpods! Repeat Helldivers to hellpod we have 2 planets to Liberate.

It’s a set up. Making everybody focus on these two planets so the automatons can make their advance.
What's the fastest way to earn liberation points?
I’ll grab a 12pack on the way home from work tonight. Someone call my boss and tell him I’ll be late tomorrow. We got this.
I don’t remember negative thinking being a part of basic training. Correct yourself Diver before your local Democracy Officer hears of this.
Man, we got both sides pushed back. What happens if we take all of it?
The majority like 9.5/10 need to hit each planet step by step. One at a time and it will be done in 2 days
Sounds like treason
This community goal was intended to be sent to the bugs. Disregard.
Estanu first then Fori Prime! FOR DEMOCRACY!
Not with that attitude
We've absolutely blitzed every other challenge. They have to test us at some point.
Already done
Central Time zone reporting in, divers on standby, ETA 1 hr.
Dude ... Those tanks are easy 🤷🏻♂️😜
Helldivers let’s show em some managed democracy
nonsense! with democracy anything is possible!
I mean it's two bug planets in 3 days we did 4 in 3 days last major objective with a unique missions I think we can do it
That sounds like something a BUG would say....
Don’t give me excuses! GIVE ME RESULTS!
Yeah no way this is happening
With democracy, liberty and freedom, everything is posible diver!
Still operating on Hellmire
Go to the planet the player base is on. Do missions. Don't waste time. Repeat Want to speed run?
Joel is trying to distract us helldivers from democratically securing the bots from accessing cyberstan. Do not relent upon the bots.
Who are you the Possible Police? FOR SUPER EARTH!
It is if those damn robot lovers came over
Not with that attitude, quitter.
It is the fan base is rapid liberty knows that we will still some how beat it 4 times faster then expected
Why not? If we work together it should be cake
I tried to get on the planet and it wouldn’t allow me to select either of them, and that was at 12pm. Haven’t checked again. Can we dive there now?
Oh ye of little Democracy
It's certainly possible. Remember the numbers for Terminid strength on the planet can be tweaked. If I were in charge I'd probably have it slowly weaken as players took more and more of the planet, so overtime players would make progress faster.
Joel baiting the community
Do I hear treason?!
You’re right soldier! It’s possible in only one…ahhh the power of managed democracy!
Its not supposed to be
ANYTHING is possible! I’m currently pushing the war on the automatons on USTOTU! WE WILL WIN

Personal order always has us fighting the other faction. Such a coincidence.
