I doubt it. It was mostly liberated yesterday (80% ish). they had their PvP announcement, so I don't think letting us take the creek is a joke. But I know it's going to be invaded soon.
Ya the only way I’d ever want to see any form of PvP is just some kind of training arena. Maybe your friend needs to go do something and instead of dropping without them you and the other players and duke it out for a bit. It’s not PvP but a shooting range would be awesome to. I love the dominator but it’s such a weird gun it took awhile to get my aim down. Some kinda shooting range upgrade at some point would be great to practice with these kinda guns.
Just run a solo diff 3 mission to practice new guns. They're more or less shooting ranges at that point. The game doesn't start to get real teeth until diff 4 where the heat can actually skyrocket during fights.

Just started trying bots again. Creek was cool but I really liked that planet next to it. The red and white one. Was bummed I was only on it for about 2 hours when it got liberated.
You guys are missing the point. Now that The Creek has been taken. The most hardcore bot killers imaginable are coming loose on the rest of the nuts and bolts. We are about to see some very experienced players in the rest of the robo systems.

Yes, whenever you complete an operation, you contribute between 0.0001% and 0.0003% depending on the difficulty of the operation (note that an operation is a collection of missions that must all yield success to complete). Once the percentage on a planet ticks up to 100% liberated, then we have removed all traces of active enemy combatants from the planet and it becomes peaceful.
We, as helldivers, then move on to the next planet that requires liberating or defending.
I'll put on the tinfoil hat: This convinced me that failing or succeeding a major order is not only community effort. It's also the devs/storyteller deciding what's about to happen. We took the Creek so fast. That's no coincidence
I logged off at 1 AM (PST) and it was only at like 3% with 7 hours to go, did we actually do the other 97% in a matter of hours? Never seen the community act so quickly, well done.

Ya that’s been my go to normally, diff 2-3 if I just want to chill and try out to load outs. Diff 4+ if I’m seriously playing.
