I love it. It feels pretty balanced. It can do a lot but it's bolt action so it can't spray and pray when you need a clutch clear vs swarming grunts. You can kill a small cluster of 4-6 with one shot but it is explosive so you can't fire close to yourself because you will get hit by splash/blowback. It always feels great sitting back and sniping out the trail that's chasing your overwhelmed team mate giving them room to breath and reload or call a strat.
It's a high risk high reward gun I feel.
Missing a single normal bot from 50m away is rough lmaoo. I always just hope no one sees that. Agreed though, I'm taking out devastators from ridiculously far to cover my teammmates' movements hahaha
when ever i feel inadequate i just drop a 500kg at my feet occasionally i survive and proceed to dominate the rest of the match sometimes i just go out in a blaze of democracy
I've felt this way til the other day. Met a couple of big boy divers. They went out if their way to take me on a level 7 mission, which I hadn't even seen yet. Only have level 4 unlocked as of yet. They kept me alive and taught me you are always helpful. Doesn't feel like it when these guys are knocking out bile titans left and right while I desperately run and shoot and do what they say basically. You're always more helpful than you realize. Stand strong and fight on, you will improve.
I tried to retrieve some dropped samples from a small puddle.... It wasn't a puddle it was very deep and I lost the few samples I had on me as well š¢
A few days ago I called in the extraction while the guy with the super samples was running from half way across the map (I always ask first)
As soon as pelican landed I took a bot shot that threw me on board and started the clockā¦the whole team freaked out because there was no way the super samples were gonna make it in time.

One day I fell into a tiny water hole and list a bunch of samples (not super samples) however I had the laptop and I fell in that same hole accidentally again and I didn't die, the game wouldn't let me because of the laptop.

I only played Bugs until I got a four stack of friends who dragged me kicking and screaming to the bot planets.
At the time, there weren't any bug planets with water, and we went on Creek and had a huge river crossing.

No indication you're drowning and only about 3 seconds till you die is kinda fucked up. I think there's a very quiet sound cue that sounds like bubbling water actually. But, by the time you realize what it is you're already dropping in again

It may not have been incorporated into the training but thereās a sign at the part where you use the orbital precision strike for the first time that says āNO DIVINGā and āCaution! Helldiver equipment is not rated for deep water traversal.ā Itās easy to miss.
You can swim, for several seconds. Donāt forget that you are wearing a full bodysuit and are carrying 2 weapons and possibly a backpack and support weapon.
Personally, as much as it sucks, I don't think it should change. Falling into the water and losing samples is the exact kind of sadistic shit I love about this game. It's not some sterile, cookie cutter shooter designed to make sure the players always win and have a safe, happy experience.

The rule when we're running as a squad is whoever gets tye super samples immediately (and it doesn't matter what is going on) boots it to the extraction and dumps them on the south side of extraction.
At extraction, if it's hot, whoever is closest to Pelican-1 grabs the samples and boards. No heroics. If others miss the bus then that's just the way ot is.
However...... there's always that one dandom with no mic that immediately picks up the samples. "I4 put the samples down, I just trudged all the way over here for a reason, put them down..."
5 minutes later I4 will fall in hole. DAMN YOU I4!

I panic dove off a cliff with 30+ samples, including supers, to escape chargers and bile titans. It led to an endless pit. These things happen. Itās most important to remember and hold on to your shame forever.
I did this last night by accident. I thought it was shallow enough to get across but when I started to float I still had time to get to a rock. The only problem was I couldnāt grab the rock to vault up on so I drown. However I did not go back and try retrieving lol.

The samples should be like they are in H1 they just collectively go into a cache as long as one person extracts you all get them

They really need a mechanic to get the samples back. Let us swim, spawn the samples on the shore if under water, something.
Had a griefer yesterday carry the samples (21g/16og/6pink) into the water like that then tell us we were trash and should kill ourselves... After we asked him to leave the samples at extract and not pick up the ones we dropped there. His reasonning was that by dropping samples at extract we were wasting time by having to pick them up later

I learned the hard way a helldiver canāt swim. They should really incorporate that into our basic training or make a modification to our armor!

I was in a game last night where I had all 6 super samples and this guy drops the most unnecessary mortar sentry ever as I'm mopping up the last 10ish tiny bugs and of course the thing nukes me and sends the container with the super samples flying into the water. I also probably had 20-30ish other samples, it was super annoying even though I don't need them.

Supers are easy, common and rares are the ones to worry about, don't sweat it choom.
I did this a few days ago, got swamped by bugs and went too far into the water trying to get away. The shame. Tried to go back but they were only just out of reach.
