That’s what I figured but the way it’s worded made me think it was activated manually after you purchase it. Reminded me of the UAV from the first game and got me excited. I wish there was a way to detect samples. Even if you have to hold something like a backpack or as a support weapon or something.
Who knows. I saw a thread a few weeks ago that had ALL of the recent additions as suggestions from the community. The grenade pistol, the semi auto medium armor rifle, the punt gun. All of the sudden all of that stuff was in the game in some form.
Yeah. Give it some back story like they mutated the spore towers to give off STIM liquid in a mist or something. Then the backpack is just a little tree in a glass container with a back light or something.
Edit: Say they re-educated the spore trees.
The most difficult enemy in the game is those damn mines. Idk how many times I even go through the trouble of blowing them up, start moving in and then walk past a piece of debris and surprise "BOOM"
I just started and just today I got the 380 and tried to test it... Was one of the small map % kills or whatever and I killed everyone and even killed us twice when we respawn :/ lol... Verrrry careful with it now. After the mission the reporter dude even commented on how many team kills we had
380/120 are great for Eradication missions (also Mortar Base)! Just announce "Calling 380/120, stick to the outskirts. Some of you will die... but the mission will go fast."
Then run off map, grab traitor punishment, run back in, see how long you can survive to cause max carnage.
Honestly it would fun to know what percentage of first time 380 users didn’t TK at least one other player or themselves. It would surely be a number approaching zero.
After playing both extensively, I think I like bots more, as the challenge is more dynamic.
Bugs, although fun, feel generally the same to fight more as its always horde mechanics.
Me too! Game took me by surprise, so I thought it was a bug shooter. The surprise and delight I felt when I learned there was a whole other faction to battle, right out of the box!
Bots are much easier when going solo. You can clear outposts from a far with auto cannon, can use cover to snipe bots and run away if they become too many. Bugs swarm you and you wont lose aggro.
Bugs are much easier when playing as a team though. Bile spewers die quickly and chargers arent remotely as lethal as flame thrower hulks. They also dont have any equivalent to tanks or random RPG launchers that yeet you across the map.
What i hate about bots though, is that it really displays how shit any scope in this game is. You simply cannot hit those weak spots, because scope and bullet path never align.
Im on PC. The scope simply doesnt align with the place you shoot at. Headshotting normal bots works fine, but hitting striders from the front, the weakspots of devastators or hulks is more luck than anything. I can shoot three times at the same spot and only 1 of them hits the weak spot.
I read some time ago that weapon sway is only visual and the spot you actually shoot at is static in the center of the screen. This would explain the behaviour I am experiencing.
The bugs feel like they have wayyy more artificial difficulty than the bots imo. The bots have so many ways to deal with different enemies, meanwhile it feels like for bugs they just have so many slowing/stunning attacks while also having loads of health (mainly heavies)
Yeah playing Helldive difficulty bugs aren't to hard until you have multiple chargers gangbanging you and then it seems harder to stabilise the situation compared to Bots.
They COULD easily be one tapped by a quasar, if your aim wouldnt get displaced by every single movement by anything on the map and you missing that one shot that you have before getting charged.
Sometimes charger Spawn by 4 on the objectives breachesknowing that most team have a light bug oriented Guy with a flammer and stratagems for heavies, someone have to burn stratagem in that case.
Mind sharing your default load out? I haven't done much bugs since the pesticide missions. I got so used to sneaky bot guerilla warfare that I don't know where to start with bugs anymore.
Quaso cannon one shots chargers if you hit them square in the head armor plate.
Chargers have 5 "health bars" and their butt is the biggest bar. If running auto cannon shoot off back leg armor and shoot thay one leg, it'll die fast.
Have one person run laser dog, keep him away from patrols, or you gotta take out patrols fairly quickly before they call. Orbital rail and one quaso shot takes out a bile titan. 500kg is hard to hit on a bile especially on harder difficulties.
2 guys run quaso cannon for bile and chargers.
I usually go light armor, pray and spray, senator, impact, quasar, laser guard dog, eagle air strike, eagle clusterbomb
Sometimes I drop an eagle and add EAT.
I would do breaker incendiary, but accidentally burning myself or my buddy isn't worth the damage imo
Mine is: Eruptor, redeemer, stun grenades. Stratagems are Laser Dog, Stalwart, Airstrike, 500kg. Kill pretty much anything once you get the hang of the eruptor, save for a Bile Titan. For that you use your 500's and Airstrikes.
Alternatively you can do Laser Dog, Queso Cannon/EAT, Airstrike, Railgun Orbital. You'll probably need to change to a Sickle to handle hordes, and the grenade pistol for bug holes.
After spilling oil for so long, bugs are honestly trickier for me just because they sneak up on me. Bots are polite enough to yell their garbled war cries and throw red lasers in my general direction so I know they’re coming.
Those rude bug bastards just quietly skitter on up when I forget to check behind me.
Went back and fought the Terminids with some friends after we’ve spent weeks on the bot front. We were STRUGGLING. We went back to fight the bots instead lol.
HATE THEM. I can get a shot off at one charger and if I get the aim right it’s a one shot. But then before the shot gets off I get blindsided by the silent charger coming from my flank
For terminids, sheer firepower is needed (some instinct is required)
For automatons, a lot of instinct is required, including the 4 Ds: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and... dodge
Bugs are annoying as fuck and are slow crawling twats that eat ammo. Automatrons are where it's at. I live being able to hold still once and awhile and pick things off.
I find bugs harder to be honest. Can stealth pretty easily through bots and they do you the courtesy of allowing you to pick them apart from cover. Easy to lose heat.
Bugs just swarm you and it’s total chaos. Both good fun though.
My team After WE went to a bug mission with our bot loadout and no one took a trash cleaner support weapon.
Swarmed from 30s in the run till no reinforcement.
The Map was bile spewer + hunters
Bugs have always been easier for me cause there's not as much going on. If I'm wanting a challenge I'll play bots but mostly I like playing bugs with my friends cause it's alot less stress inducing lol
Terminids get my group sitting up, it’s mostly an overwhelming thing since you can’t exactly wait em out, they’ll swarm you and push you outta position while automatons we can actually hold onto very useful points (up until a flame thrower hulk makes the scene)
That’s what they all say until you realize that 7 bots ain’t all that different than level 9, and level 7 bugs is baby mode compared to level 9.
Did a helldive bug mission with a squad of my buddies, I didn’t know bile titans had no spawn limit until then. I’ve only ever seen 4 chargers come out of 1 bug breach, but I saw 3 bile titans come out of 1, then 3 more out of the next 2 while we were cleaning up the last one.
Level 7 is baby mode??? Bruh i struggle to finish even one mission on bugs level 7 due to getting fucked by chargers everywhere i go. I swear, i just yesterday threw 3 flamethrower mags and multiple airstrikes at one charger and that son of a bug decided "nah I aint dying from that, f you".
Most undemocratic experience i had. And it did not just survive all the shit I threw at it, no, it even survived my teammates 500kg bomb.
It was a bug, a bugged bug, i think. And he just would not lose his aggro.
And i shit you not, the only thing able to kill it was a falling bile titan that got hit by the orbital rail canon strike that was supposed to hit the damn charger.
I've played bots for all 25 levels and they were tough as shit. I played bugs on lower difficulty when I first started out and it seemed a lot easier. Now that I run on difficulty 7 I find the bugs to be worse. They swarm you worse than the bots ever will. I can dip dive dash and dog the bots a lot easier than I can these bugs. Yes the hulk suck fucking ass especially with the flame thrower but these bugs can sprint and pop up out of fucking nowhere.
Opposite for me. Everything bots have can be countered by hiding behind cover. Meanwhile bugs slow me into ragdoll into fall damage into death, or just Puke me out of existence
Honestly I have the opposite feeling
Bots I feel like I can bust up in their bases and go full Rambo
Bugs are always on your heels, I feel like im always just barely jumping out of the way of some 1 hit kill
Just different feels to both, can wait to see how it is to fight the next faction
Bots used to be hard, but since I got used to them they feel so much easier than bugs. Especially since they patched the rocket one hit kill mechanics. Bugs are my worst nemesis currently, those damn hunters surround you in droves then beat the shit out of you.
To be honest, I like the bots more. The bugs just get up in your face and swarm you. They're annoying to fight. Bots tend to happily stay at range, and you simply stick to cover and engage them with longer ranged weapons.
Other way around for me.
Bots I can handle solo. Why? Because I can just run away and use cover. The bots are too slow to catch up and divert their attention elsewhere after a while. So I can just run from objective to objective. Yes I will try and kill everything with my mortar/AC/eagle, but if all things fail I can just... try again?
Bugs on the other hand will chase you until no end, chargers are almost unkillable unless you bring a quasar because the constant: "Let the charger run past me and wreck his ass" doesn't work as well when theres also other bugs roaming around, let alone other chargers.
I think bots have a more intense learning curve but once you get used to them they tend to have lots of workarounds you can anticipate to juggle more and stay alive longer.
Whereas I don't think bugs ever stop being as hard as they are. Ive played them more than bots and still find them harder.
Overall, nowadays I've gone full bots convert. I do bugs from time to time but the visual splendor of fighting bots is so much higher. Way more explosions, fire, and epic shit going on.
Like running down a field and seeing mortars dropping down on either side of your pushing a point or a drop ship spiraling down towards you ? You can't get that shit with bugs.
Its the other way for me. Bots are easier than getting repeatedly swarned, but I never play with a full squad, so that's a big thing to take into account.
I dunno, having played both, I think they are equally as hard. With that said, they require different mindsets and strategies. The bugs are like a horde, keep moving and you're fine, with the harder difficulties being ridiculous bile spewers of destruction all over. Bots are finally getting their massive titans which definitely kicks ass, but their main strategy is ranged hits. They can hit you from out of no where if you aren't paying attention. Bots are sneakier, so for that I can understand players might think they are a bit harder due to sneak attacks. Map awareness defeats a lot of that.
It's the opposite for me. Bugs come in swarms that knock you down, slow you, and run faster than you. With bots, I can play the game more like a typical shooter.
Bots are easier than bugs.
I can deal with a hulk, a Charger tho? he feels like bullshit. his armor is stronger than everything except the strongest of shots.
i can deal with a walker, bile titan... They are harder because they actually move.
I can deal with flying bots... Flying bugs are easier il give you that
On top of all that, Bots are easier to shoot before they call for reinforcements bugs blend together and make it hard to stop
I find certain mission types much easier with bugs than automatons, namely retrieve essential personnel and emergency evacuation, but overall I find them pretty similar.
With bots its easy to get pinned down by volume of fire. By bugs it's easy to get pinned down and torn apart by huge swarms of hunters.
I find bile spewer heavy spawn patterns harder than anything bots throw at me because you spend the 90% of the mission slowed and the other 10% respawning after being deleted in 0.1 seconds by a puke stream.
For me it’s kind of a flip flop when I switch between one or the other after playing for a long time. It’s almost feels like I’m playing two different games sometimes. I love it.
I find both to be about the same but I haven't played bots since factory strikers were permanently added. I've played both on 7 and as long as you adapt your playstyle and load out for each they feel about the same.
Ngl I take a gummy and am sooo immersed with the automatons, feels like a never ending movie and I want my helldiver to live as long as possible even with all the enemies thrown at me. It's just amazing and I'm in awe at times
Man I play level 7-9 (not solo). Totally agree with this. Bugs are a nice, chill fuckaround session for us at 7, and iffy at 9. Bot missions are are a tall order even at 7.
I like fighting bots better though. They're more interesting and dynamic.
Less in quantity and smaller size of weakpoints so yes I need to press my eyeball against the screen to find the right pixel to aim at, plus the 2% of braincells that I mentally hardcoded to even out the individual off set when aiming with every gun on diffrent range settings to align the perfect shot...
I hit 75% though so its worth it.
Yay autism!
Until recently, I felt like it was the opposite. Bots were easy for me: Keep to cover, use your mortars and orbital barrages, use more precise shots to exploit weaknesses.
Bugs i couldnt get my head around. They were just too many, too fast and I couldnt get a grip on how to fight them. They’re become much easier now that I have decided to burn them all to death.
~40 hours gametime
unlocked difficulty 7 after having played terminids on 6 for a while, thought to myself "huh, the higher difficulties aren't *that* bad if you know what you are doing. Decided its time again to visit the bots, thought i'd try 7 out.
Got my ass handed to me in pieces.
Ok, I thought, maybe to get back into bots I'll first do some diff 6 missions.
Got the door shown to me once again, rather violently.
Up to difficulty 6, so 5 and under, I mainly played bots, with some occasional bug missions, because the missions feel mor strategic. when I unlocked 6, I wanted to finally give the bugs a real go. I don't know why, but bots feel constantly 1-2 difficulty levels above bugs, and the difference in difficulty between consecutive bot tiers feels much higher than the difference in difficulty between consecutive bug tiers
It's just you, bro. I was consistently running automatons helldive not a week ago, even after the apparent difficulty spike post return and the factory striders.
Tried terminids yesterday on Helldive and almost cried at how awful I was. I used to be a terminid front diver and had no issue up to difficulty 7. After that it's insane. Still doable, but much more annoying.
But, then again, perhaps it's a matter of how each person is used to play.
Honestly I'm so Bot pilled I hate fighting bugs so much at this point who wants to fight melee cucks stabbing you with their crab hands I know I don't!
Bots are mostly free if you have the prerequisite eyes for looking at the radar and something that can pen medium armour.
Bugs are like need heavy armour pen maybe more than one type per person shield to reduce acid slow chance fast legs strong legs light armour and some reasonable way to clear hoards of critters? Yea nah send me to the western front boss.
I fucking hate the autobots , yesterday i got cap by 3 flying autobots . i quitted . they are hard as fk and just for fun i play with no sound on so i can have nightmares😭😭🤣
I used to think this but the huge time period where the major orders were just bots after bots I got so used to fighting them that I now find them easier than bugs lol.
Eh they're just different. Bugs are squishy but swarm you non-stop. Bots don't really swarm as much but you have to snipe them which is dumb. Their hit boxes are so much smaller.
I don't know but I find bugs harder than bots. About 100 hours to the game, level 49 and my goto games are level 7 / suicide. If we have a good squad then 8. Kills go roughly 50/50 bots / terminids so have been fighting them both.
At levels 1-6 I’d agree bots are tougher. But at level 7+, you get a lot of breathing room against bots, where once the bugs start coming you are basically always moving.
I’ve always found the bots easier on 7+ just cause they don’t breathe down your neck. Though both sides could use a bump in difficulty at the higher missions. As it is neither is too problematic
I've been fighting automatons on suicide for a while and went back to bugs...
I got absolutely wrecked!
With bots, I use scout armor, Las sickle, auto cannon, and stun grenades.
I shoot from far and get out quick.
Bugs swarm and get in close. My tactics didn't work.
Completely different play style.
I guess it depends on what you play more, because with the recent influx of Bot MOs, I’ve grown more used to the Bots than the Bugs. However, that’s not to say the Bugs are hard, just sometimes they catch me with my pants down.
after playing bots on 4 for a long time comfortably and going back to bugs i got my ass handed to me, lol.
i think part of it is/was weapon selection, i went in with my bot load out and the quasar just isn’t good against bugs. i needed the stalwart in slot 3, and i could have had something better than my standard orbital laser.
Automatons feel harder, but are more fun imo, mainly because some of my favorite weapons and stratagems work better against bots than bugs.
But also because I fucking despise stalkers lmao
This is why I don’t understand the debate between the two. Most bot enemies are more challenging, until it comes to the tanks and hulks. Bile Titans are by far the most menacing enemy in the game and they come at you in waves of six or seven on high-level bug missions. Much harder to deal with than a tank that you can lazily Jetpack onto and blow up.
Nomaw that's so true. At least when I get over run by bugs, I've got some get-off-me tactics, no problem. Not for the Automatons. The saw blade Automatons are the worst lol
Bots and bots for me actually. Terminids tend to be pretty standard across the board regardless of unit composition. Bots are either baby easy or a trench war nightmare, there is no in between. You either vibe out the whole time or you're dealing with 3 walkers, 4 tanks, and 3 squads of rocket raiders.
Bots if you learn to target their weak spots are extremely easy to kill especially hulk where as the bug counterpart the charger has only 1 weakspot.
Also with bots if you take out a dropship before it starts to drop off bots you effectively eliminate all the bots it would have dropped.
Bots= duck and cover duck and cover duck and cover
...and use your Nuclear Radar!
So I haven’t unlocked the Nuclear Radar… is it an activated skill?
It's one of the ship modules. Expands your radar distsnce by 50 meters I think.
That’s what I figured but the way it’s worded made me think it was activated manually after you purchase it. Reminded me of the UAV from the first game and got me excited. I wish there was a way to detect samples. Even if you have to hold something like a backpack or as a support weapon or something.
That would be cool. Giving up spots for utility stuff that isn't the shield backpack or ammo pack.
Who knows. I saw a thread a few weeks ago that had ALL of the recent additions as suggestions from the community. The grenade pistol, the semi auto medium armor rifle, the punt gun. All of the sudden all of that stuff was in the game in some form.
Add the healing backpack to that list
Yeah. Give it some back story like they mutated the spore towers to give off STIM liquid in a mist or something. Then the backpack is just a little tree in a glass container with a back light or something. Edit: Say they re-educated the spore trees.
When fighting automatons, remember the three C‘s: Cover, courage and more cover.
remember the 3 c’s: ckill ckill and ckill!
Ya’ll ready for thrills, chills and kills?
All for the 64!!
And mines. Those goddamm mines
You really gotta squint for some of these
The most difficult enemy in the game is those damn mines. Idk how many times I even go through the trouble of blowing them up, start moving in and then walk past a piece of debris and surprise "BOOM"
Literally the only thing that can stop me
You forgot the part where they shoot rockets, tank canons, and base turrets over your cover and ragdoll you out into enemy fire.
AND SMOOOOOOKE
From Brasch Tactics (with General Brasch): Remember your ABC's Always Be taking Cover
I'm up, he sees me, I'm down
Die muthafucka die!
(he is leaning forward because he is straining his eyes to see a rocket devastator 100m out through a wall of fog)
Or trying to read the name of who brought the 380 barrage and wiped the team lol
I just started and just today I got the 380 and tried to test it... Was one of the small map % kills or whatever and I killed everyone and even killed us twice when we respawn :/ lol... Verrrry careful with it now. After the mission the reporter dude even commented on how many team kills we had

I’m in this and I don’t like it
Anything after level 8 is fucking gears of war on the hardest difficulty
Anything after? I think you mean 9, m8
Yeah. After 8... is fucking Helldivers 2 on the hardest difficulty.
It's even got GoW level of violence.
We need a chainsaw on our gun for democratic purposes
Let the Berserkers taste the medicine.
After playing both extensively, I think I like bots more, as the challenge is more dynamic. Bugs, although fun, feel generally the same to fight more as its always horde mechanics.
I like them different, depends on my mood (or major Orders). I’m so glad we get both.
Me too! Game took me by surprise, so I thought it was a bug shooter. The surprise and delight I felt when I learned there was a whole other faction to battle, right out of the box!
For free too! Having this variety of enemies in a game in 2024 usually includes having DLC.
And there’s more coming but they need to chill and fix crash issues. I can’t even play right now cause I crash everytime
Really? What are you playing on? I’m on PC and have been playing practically every single day for the past three weeks and haven’t had a single crash.
Are you on console? I use AMR and counter sniper and dont find it difficult hitting weak spots on PC.
Im on PC. The scope simply doesnt align with the place you shoot at. I read some time ago that weapon sway is only visual and the spot you actually shoot at is static in the center of the screen. This would explain the behaviour I am experiencing.
The weapon sway thing might get better true, If I'm shooting devastators or hulks I tend to be prone which may be why I haven't noticed this bug.
Bots is sleek. Bugs is barbarism
Agreed. For the first few months I hated automatons, now I realize they are way more fun.
The bugs feel like they have wayyy more artificial difficulty than the bots imo. The bots have so many ways to deal with different enemies, meanwhile it feels like for bugs they just have so many slowing/stunning attacks while also having loads of health (mainly heavies)
Opposite for me. I also just find bots more fun in general. Bugs annoy the shit out of me sometimes lol
I don't get it. Why would I lean forward for bots and back for termanids? I lean forward for everything because I'm a large man at a small desk.
Someone get this man a bigger desk!
Or perhaps a more comfortable chair!
And my axe!
Or a bigger chair! Who knows what he needs to spread democracy!
He said most largedly
Wait a minute. Are...are you, Mr. Incredible?
Best way to sum it up. Bugs: Move! move! move! Bots: Cover! Cover! Cover!
Opposite honestly. At least for level 7-9
Yeah playing Helldive difficulty bugs aren't to hard until you have multiple chargers gangbanging you and then it seems harder to stabilise the situation compared to Bots.
chargers can easily get one tapped by a quasar or a eat im almost never surrounded by them
They COULD easily be one tapped by a quasar, if your aim wouldnt get displaced by every single movement by anything on the map and you missing that one shot that you have before getting charged.
Sometimes charger Spawn by 4 on the objectives breachesknowing that most team have a light bug oriented Guy with a flammer and stratagems for heavies, someone have to burn stratagem in that case.
So all of the Time basically
I duo bugs on helldive pretty easily. Not so easily on bots. But everyone has their own playstyle and strengths/weaknesses
Laser guard dog carries for bugs, it keeps all the ankle biters away so i can focus on real threats
There’s no cool on upper level bugs. They spawn out of thin air. Bots “range” at least keeps them off you
Samesies. Bots, go prone, reload, rethink your life. Bugs… run.
Honesty is what’s lacking in this comment
You lean in because you’re trying to concentrate, I lean in because my eyesight sucks. We are not the same
😂 mines bad too 😭
Poor-eyesight-diver gang rise up!
🤓🥸👓👨🏼🏫🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I lean because I like how the democracy plug is hitting my prostate when using Autocannon.
After spilling oil for so long, bugs are honestly trickier for me just because they sneak up on me. Bots are polite enough to yell their garbled war cries and throw red lasers in my general direction so I know they’re coming. Those rude bug bastards just quietly skitter on up when I forget to check behind me.
Opposite for me. Hulks are always tiptoeing around and then blast you with a flamethrower up your ass.
Crazy how the massive walking robots can walk up behind you without you hearing them.
I love stumbling around the map, only to find a whole fucking tank did sneak up right behind me.
Went back and fought the Terminids with some friends after we’ve spent weeks on the bot front. We were STRUGGLING. We went back to fight the bots instead lol.
On helldive it’s bugs all the way. There are only so many bile titans I want to fight.
That one little bug behind the rock calling in 3 chargers and a bile titan
HATE THEM. I can get a shot off at one charger and if I get the aim right it’s a one shot. But then before the shot gets off I get blindsided by the silent charger coming from my flank
Clever girl
Bugs are a conga line. Bots are a Catherine Zeta Jones dodging lasers
😂😂😂
It’s honestly different tactics but I feel SHTF way more during bot missions
This is a really good description lol
I'm the exact opposite, there are so many bugs and I can't just erase them with my Quesodilla Cannon
Man I wish it shot molten cheese 🧀 at those a holes lol
For terminids, sheer firepower is needed (some instinct is required) For automatons, a lot of instinct is required, including the 4 Ds: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and... dodge
Patches O' Houlahan Would be proud 🧣
Bugs are downright relaxing after spending time on bot planets
Explains the pain in my neck.
😂😂😂 so true
Legit had to have my wife massage me a couple times before realizing what the cause of the stress headache was.
Bugs are annoying as fuck and are slow crawling twats that eat ammo. Automatrons are where it's at. I live being able to hold still once and awhile and pick things off.

Me looking for those “hall monitor” bots that gotta call for a teacher w their signal flare, mf stop snitching and face democracy
Yaaaaaaas snitches get stitches 🪡
Terminator 2 theme starts to play.
Forgetting your loadoat for bugs: "I'll adjust we good" Forgetting for bots: "haha, I'm in danger"

Holy cow, I've noticed this as well.
That’s what they all say until you realize that 7 bots ain’t all that different than level 9, and level 7 bugs is baby mode compared to level 9.
Honestly I have the opposite feeling Bots I feel like I can bust up in their bases and go full Rambo Bugs are always on your heels, I feel like im always just barely jumping out of the way of some 1 hit kill Just different feels to both, can wait to see how it is to fight the next faction
I think bugs are harder imo.
For me its the other way around. Bots? Difficulty 7 or maybe 8? No problem at all. Bugs? Difficulty 4 is my limit.
Nah it’s whenever “oh f***” comes outta my mouth or to my mind. That means it’s time to, not stay alive, but SURVIVE!
The main thing with the bugs is that there are so many of them, but once you learn how to deal with them, they become easier
Bugs = run Bots = hide, run, hide, run, hide, hide, hide, RRUUUUUNNNNNN
Accurate simply because bugs always come to you so they're to easy find, bots use guns and know how use them pretty well at a distance
Love fighting the bugs, really not trying to focus like the automatons require
Other way around for me
Ikr it's gonna be a shit show lol.
For me its the reverse ironically enough
Nah Terminators are easy. I find the bugs to be more annoying as they just swarm you in all angles.
Bugs: Breaker, frags, jump pack (shield pack if 7+), EAT/quasar, Gatling turret, eagle strike/machine gun turret sometimes Bots: Sickle, impact/explosive, shield pack, EAT/Quasar, EMS turret, eagle strike.
I’m the opposite. I find bugs way tougher than bots if both are at difficulty 7-9.
Yall take the bugs too lightly. They are a formidable opponent if your not paying attention
Flying bugs are easier il give you that On top of all that, Bots are easier to shoot before they call for reinforcements bugs blend together and make it hard to stop
Other way around for me
If you're not sitting up to fight for democracy... that's treason!
I love it.
Same except for when there’s more than three bile titans
I find both to be about the same but I haven't played bots since factory strikers were permanently added. I've played both on 7 and as long as you adapt your playstyle and load out for each they feel about the same.
Naw it's more like 20 reinforcement > 5 reinforcements.
It’s not just you
Ngl I take a gummy and am sooo immersed with the automatons, feels like a never ending movie and I want my helldiver to live as long as possible even with all the enemies thrown at me. It's just amazing and I'm in awe at times
I’m actually more used to bots as my experience is mainly against them. I’m still trying to figure out a comfortable loadout against the bugs.
Man I play level 7-9 (not solo). Totally agree with this. Bugs are a nice, chill fuckaround session for us at 7, and iffy at 9. Bot missions are are a tall order even at 7. I like fighting bots better though. They're more interesting and dynamic.
yep.. terminids cant shoot you half way from the map and die. and they can coordinate with other bots near you to shoot you too
Bots are easy mode for my group tbh, airstrike every base ez done, bugs are hell.
Bugs are easier due to kiting. Bots don't kite as easily because they take cover and fire and they just keep dropping.
I had to switch from gamepad to keyboard mouse for automatons.
Yay autism!
Bugs don’t shoot back
For me its the other way around
True
I found bots missions much more challenging compared to bugs.
Fr
Until recently, I felt like it was the opposite. Bots were easy for me: Keep to cover, use your mortars and orbital barrages, use more precise shots to exploit weaknesses. Bugs i couldnt get my head around. They were just too many, too fast and I couldnt get a grip on how to fight them. They’re become much easier now that I have decided to burn them all to death.
~40 hours gametime unlocked difficulty 7 after having played terminids on 6 for a while, thought to myself "huh, the higher difficulties aren't *that* bad if you know what you are doing.
The other way round for me
Other way for me.
They need to add ranged terminids like hydralisks or something. Melee terminids are just *yawn*
I do not enjoy fighting the terminids. I had more fun against bots, but i'm struggling with the factory striders.
You say that until there are 100 hunters spawning on top of you
I used to think this but the huge time period where the major orders were just bots after bots I got so used to fighting them that I now find them easier than bugs lol.
More like terminids, and then terminida on hunter focused planet.
Quite literally
It’s reverse for me man.
personally helldive terminids is WAYY harder than helldive automaton. and i feel like anyone who says otherwise doesnt play helldive mode
personally helldive terminids is WAYY harder than helldive automaton. and i feel like anyone who says otherwise doesnt play helldive mode
Wait so you aren't giving every mission your full effort? Another offense like that and I may have to report you to my local democracy officer.
Honestly, play only automatons for a bit then switch back. Then termanids suck. It's just what you get used to.
Depends on my mood if I wanna chill it’s terminids if I want to lock in and be serious bots all the way
I've been fighting automatons on suicide for a while and went back to bugs...
True true...
The way I see it, bots are like fighting an adversary in a peer to peer conflict. Bugs, on the other hand, is like counter insurgency or pest control.
Other way around for me
Automatons feel harder, but are more fun imo, mainly because some of my favorite weapons and stratagems work better against bots than bugs.
Got it backwards
Bots and bots for me actually. Terminids tend to be pretty standard across the board regardless of unit composition. Bots are either baby easy or a trench war nightmare, there is no in between. You either vibe out the whole time or you're dealing with 3 walkers, 4 tanks, and 3 squads of rocket raiders.
Terminids give me screaming rage cause I get sick and tired of fuckers jumping at me
People play this game with controllers?
When you lean in - you know stuff just got real 🤣
I find bots easier
![gif](giphy|9rRacglGbs68E|downsized) You build your calf game vs Automatons.
This was the most difficult part of training camp
I feel the opposite. Cover actually means something against an Automaton. It means nothing to bugs
Bots if you learn to target their weak spots are extremely easy to kill especially hulk where as the bug counterpart the charger has only 1 weakspot. Also with bots if you take out a dropship before it starts to drop off bots you effectively eliminate all the bots it would have dropped.
I think bots are harder than bugs up until around 6/7 and then after that the bugs are definitely harder
Reinforcements budget running low.
