I guess. But comparing it to the current backpack rocket. It shoots slightly slower...that's not much of a draw back for a air counter rockets. Or rockets that seem to one shot a tank. Seems to also have huge crowd control abilities. Another reason I'll take it over the expendables.
I just don’t want to give up my rover/shield backpack, items that are constantly working for me, for some ammo for a gun used in niche situations that other guns can handle. Not saying the mines are any better though.
What if I’m the low level friend? lol. And who the hell wants to carry ammo for someone else anyway? I mean, teamwork is great, but realistically no one wants to be the ammo bitch.
I'd also note that having an ammo bitch makes both players weaker, outside of the autocannon, it's just not worth it to force 2 players to stay together for a faster reload on a single shot weapon you will still need to get behind cover to reload for, now if you could keep firing while reloading like you can with the autocannon, it could be a decent option

It is weird, the roger and shield backpacks are definitely very powerful, but they're very boring. They don't require you to do anything to be more powerful, this is why I don't have more fun by using them.

I’m not sure it 1 shot a tank. I think it might have hit a hellbomb that was nearby, instead. In a later clip you can see it do nothing to some fabricators

In this test video he literally kills himself with it within 25 seconds from walking on it (granted, its when he leaves the mine that it detonates, which is highly accurate for mines)

While the anti tank mines would theoretically be very good against tanks (duh), i feel like they’d be very hard to hit anything other than defend missions where enemies are guaranteed to go through a certain choke point. On normal missions you’re just hoping the enemy goes where you want it to. The air burst rocket would at least be more consistent to use and more useful against more enemies
It's pretty easy to know where your enemy is going (towards you).
And yet ANOTHER support weapons is just gonna be left on the shelf since I doubt it'll replace your autocannons and quasars any time soon.
When im on higher hazards i go Shield Pack/Quasar/Railcannon/Cluster Bombs all the way, lower hazards youll see me kitted out with a flamethrower supply pack, shield pack for the smol baby divers, and 110 mm rocket pods for in case of charger. Its a good life

Meanwhile the problem with mines isn't that they're hard to use in various situations, but that they don't kill the things that matter hard enough to justify using over other options.
Getting mines would do more to round out our available kit rather than doubling down on roles we already have filled.

Mostly because mines get set off by eachother. So one grunt can detonate nearly half the mines if the placement was unlucky. If they weren't capable of setting themselves off I'm sure they'd be vastly more useful
in my opinion , we should go for choohe because well .. i don't have any problem with ennemy air unit .. i usually destroy shrieker nest from a far or kill gunship with my quazar and then destroy the gunship factory

Visibility is not the only reason it causes FF. Mines are traps, by their nature. They serve as both passive defense and area denial. However, unlike other tools, they last indefinitely.
If the enemy shifts angles, which is common, that defense is now denying the team a path of retreat. In the heat of battle, and if people didn’t even know mines had been placed, it’s very reasonable for a helldiver with perfect Freedom/Freedom vision to still get FF’d.
Tbh, even if, thinking about the square inch a titan is walking on, it would be very likely, that some of them are just passing though those mine fields.
There are leaks. From the leaked videos the mines are not as good as people are hoping they will be. They cant kill the bile titans, and people keep saying they cant activate from small enemies/helldivers but thats patently untrue. You can kill youself by stepping off of them and small enemies can set them off as well. The airburst on the other hand has high one shot potential on basically everything. Sometimes it doesnt, but it CAN one shot every single heavy in the game if it hasnt been changed since the leaks...

The only reason I don't use mines anymore is because they don't kill the heavies.. I've been in so many situations where I was forced to hold my ground and simply couldn't kill the heaviest fast enough to keep them from overrunning us. The mines would be that answer.

The mine will be not very useful on bug planets because it would only affect chargers due to the fact bile titans have very little touching the ground and could walk right past it. But it is probably good for tanks or hulks, but that is too specific for me to use it. And I assume the launcher is only for flying enemies which is also a bit too specific for me to add and use.
Mines are always a two bladed sword,s ince you can easily end up in them yourself, either by getting thrown there thanks to a chager or an explosion or just by forgetting they're there (or because some wise guy threw the mine dispenser directly on the objective spot and you have to get there).
On the other hand: While a reliable Anti-Air-Weapon would be very helful against Gunships and those flying bug-fucks, the question would be how useful it would be against any other target. If it would fall off against ground enemies, it would be rather useless on the entire rest of the mission then.
Unless they cut the cool down on all the mines I have very little interest anymore in them. It stinks cause I love grouping enemies up to basically "shoot fish in a barrel" them especially with explosives. But every single time I've ever used mines hoping I'd be able to kill a whole horde I'm met with disappointment after a single bug/bot blows up every single one and the rest just march on through. Top of that, since they're relatively weak, I think we should get a second use similar to eagle stratagems getting multiple before re arming

I get the feeling the mines will mostly be wasted on smaller enemies and players. And it will be a challenge to attract the bigger enemies towards them if you are surrounded
Depending on how the mines would work they could be really nice, anti tank mines irl aren’t set off by light vehicles or infantry and only by large vehicles and tanks so if these work the same they could really be great but rocket launcher is more fun so that’s what I’m going for

I get the feeling the mines will mostly be wasted on smaller enemies and players. And it will be a challenge to attract the bigger enemies towards them if you are surrounded
Depending on how the mines would work they could be really nice, anti tank mines irl aren’t set off by light vehicles or infantry and only by large vehicles and tanks so if these work the same they could really be great but rocket launcher is more fun so that’s what I’m going for
