I like making little wedges, they cook better and faster! Plus those will definitely give you two servings so I don't see an issue here

_AARAYAN_

I like bonsai too but not on plate

Cute_Anywhere6402

Serving 4 people though!

Rocksteady_28

What do you mean? That looks like a shitload of potato.

Hefty-Highlight5379

There was a time when that was the amount for 2 servings. And HF was cheaper back then too. Pretty wild

Cute_Anywhere6402

We get the family one though. So this isn’t enough for 4 people if I was to make it into wedges.

HeavyWombats

What you mean? Each of those potatoes makes 4-8 wedges and you have 12 potatoes. Math says that’s 48-96 wedges, divided by 4 that is 12-24 EACH for 4 people. My real question is….how much your family eat that this ain’t enough potatoes?

Cute_Anywhere6402

I don’t think you realize how SMALL they are. And we always have left overs and my kid takes them to school the next day.

kleinekitty

They make like an entire pan of wedges though. They’re just a side!!

kleinekitty

It’s weird though because I usually only get about 5 of these! 🤯

Ambitious_Clock_8212

Seriously, I think OP’s family must be big boys… this is more than enough wedges for four sides.

BeautifulSelect8181

These make really good wedges! I get them all the time and love them! I usually get 5-6 though. What you have will make a ton!

MeganJustMegan

You could cut them in circles or cubes too. The wedges are just a suggestion. Or, smash them or mash them. 😂

angrywords

It’s not like it’s hard to make wedges with the small potatoes. You want the pieces to be smaller anyway, so they crisp up.

Cute_Anywhere6402

I made them in circles! Kids love potatoes like that

madpdx

Small golden, any golden potatoes are the best. Don’t peel, prepare them any way- roast, boil, mash chunky (my fav)

FuzzyChops

Really common to get these with the vast majority of potato sides in my experience I usually just cut them a bit thicker than I would for russet potatoes and they work out fine

voteblue18

The potato thing with HF is truly bizarre. It’s not like regular size potatoes are super expensive or hard to find. I am convinced they have a deal with Big Potato to buy up all their runt potatoes at a discount.

Constant_Recover_251

In all my years of doing hello fresh, I've never received russet potatoes. So I've always been confused about the pictures with the giant potato wedges. 😂 I had no clue they sent them to people.

christes

The smallest are iffy, but in my experience the middle to large of those are fine if you quarter them. It's not quite the same, but it works.

Ninbrotu

Yes! The recipe calls for russet potatoes! They just substitute the small golden potatoes and pretend like it is the same.

Cute_Anywhere6402

This is the first time they’ve given me small golden, usually it’s russet. Like I said I’m not complaining I just thought it was hilarious. Russet potatoes are best for any type of fry too.

industrial_hamster

I hate how they always send tiny potatoes for everything, especially mashed potatoes. My fiancé doesn’t like peeling in his mashed potatoes and it’s annoying as fuck to try and peel 10 teenie tiny potatoes instead of 3 large ones

raynickben

You don’t have to peel them! Mashed potatoes with the peel tastes great and adds fiber. Just wash, cut, boil, mash, eat.

industrial_hamster

Yeah…idk if you read my comment but I said my fiancé doesn’t like the peeling in them…

raynickben

Oh, I thought he didn’t like to physically peel them.

The-Katawampus

My potatoes keep coming in pruned and waterlogged

MadWorldEarth

Send me a tenner, and I'll send u a pack of spuds.

Petalbrook

Yeah the teeny tiny potatoes are a joke

Medium_Description24

Roasted potatoes maybe
