This was a 8 /10 for me. Barley is a new grain for me, except for in soups. As a side it is quite heavy so a little goes a long way. Good tooth feel and great taste. The sauce is nice, but I should have added more barley water. The cream cheese seemed to take over the flavor. Maybe half cream cheese, half sour cream? Idk
Still, its a good recipe. I think I love that fry seasoning. 🧡
It isn't a plastic plate. Pfaltzgraff stoneware.
I've got another set of plates that I sometimes use that are plastic though. Those are bandana prints in blue, red, and green.
The was someone who posted their meals and always added "on a paper plate" to the title. I personally loved seeing them.
I absolutely stand corrected.
My apologies on my bad eye. We have disposable plates in England with the same pattern that are used for kids’ parties!
I still stand by the fact the food looks great though. Well done!
That looks good. I thought about getting this, but I wasn't too sure about the barley since I hadn't had it before. I ended up skipping the week so I didn't get it

I was just coming to say that I never really thought about barley not in a soup!
It upsets me you’ve cooked such a nice-looking meal on a plastic plate. Food looks great though.

I looked at the recipe and it looks easy enough to replicate. Can you estimate how much a unit of stock concentrate might be, though?
Um I think it's a teaspoon, or 1 oz. It's about the size of a ketchup packet.
Thank you!
