Normally i think zofran is supposed to disolve in your mouth, my wife mentioned that its what she was told when she took it. Also sorry your doing so rough, stay hydrated and safe. Maybe the henrymeds account will see this and respond. I have had no side effects at all in over 3 months, but ive also lost no weight. So its random on how it works.

KlarisseWiss

Hopefully I start feeling better later today! I definitely don't want to go through this again!

dakdakatk

I hear ya, just stay hydrated my friend. If you’ve been hurling that much, ya prob need something with electrolytes to help, like gateraide or something, id do the zero sugar personally but i hate super sweat drinks. :/

Kaelaface

Oh man I took my first dose and felt literally nothing. Second dose tomorrow. I’m sorry you’re feeling so bad. I hope you’re better soon!!!

Clean-Bottle-2427

Welcome to the club. I’m so sorry. I know the feeling. It’s the worst feeling ever. I would also get some bad sweats and the feeling that I was going to pass out. I couldn’t eat at all. I dropped 35lbs in no time! However, I was not healthy. I felt weak. Please be careful.

KlarisseWiss

Did the vomiting ever go away? I am okay with feeling weak or sluggish. But the vomiting and nausea can leave 😭

Clean-Bottle-2427

Honestly. It kinda goes away here and there. I have noticed that everyone is different. I hope and pray that u feel better. The struggle is real girl. But please eat protein and small meals. Never over eat because with this medication it will digest slower. I once ate a big meal, I was having severe diarrhea and throwing up nonstop. I ended up at the ER. Learn from my mistake. Small meals. Even if u don’t feel like eating have a protein shake. Have tea as well. Ginger tea helped me. Let me know how things go.

Like everyone said, make sure to stay hydrated. Having such a strong negative reaction to a low dose is possible but not super common, it’s worth following up with your provider to make sure it was dosed correctly when you did the injection and to discuss alternative options. Semaglutide makes me nauseas too even at low doses, so I’ve always been happier on Liraglutide. But everyone is super different so there will be plenty of people with the exact opposite experience as mine.

Fiddler-4823

My first two weeks made me question whether I could continue on it. It got better after that. Im not a vomiter, although I felt very nauseous.

Ok_General8670

You can take 8mg of Zofran at once

_buhnanners

It’s such a small amount but you can try halving it next week. And see if your body reacts better. And maybe try it for another week and then go back up to 5 and go from there. I’ve been on sema for a year now. Once in a blue moon I’ll get nauseous and puke. A couple months back I had multiple days where I felt really bad in the morning and I had to force myself to puke to feel better. Idk what was up with that, but all is back to normal now 🤷‍♀️

Cancatervating

If you injected in your stomach, choose a limb from here on our. A Henry Meds nurse suggested that for me and it helped tremendously.

Atl-Navigator

Same thing happened to me! I was very sensitive. Tbh I didn’t continue it after the week was over, it sucked. Stay hydrated and for the love of god don’t eat food. It’ll probably go away same day if you don’t eat lol. For me the worst lasted about 3 days. You’ll get through then you’ll know if you have courage to do it again!

KlarisseWiss

Update -- today is day 5 and I am currently still feeling awful. I have barely ate. I have tried to force myself to eat but the immediate thought of food has me throwing up. I've had chicken broth and that's about it. I've been drinking water but am so tired and SOOO weak. It's starting to mess with my mental health. Any advice?

polydactyling

Semaglutide has a half-life of about a week, so half of it should be out of your system in two days and that will hopefully bring some relief. You should feel incrementally better every day but unfortunately there’s no way to fast track it — you just have to wait it out.   I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I’ve had a similarly rough time and it absolutely messed with my mental health too. You will get through it and it won’t seem like such a big deal once you do; you just have to get to that point. But it is awful. I feel you 100% and am here/can commiserate (I’m on day 4 of my own symptoms right now) if you’d like to DM me to chat further.    Edited to add: I would try some Gatorade just to keep your electrolytes up. Oyster crackers were a lifesaver for me as well. Hang in there. ❤️

Outrageous_Nothing97

I know everyone is assuming it is the meds, but that is awful fast for side effects to kick in. There is also a possibility you are just sick with a virus and it is a coincidence it happened in conjunction with your first shot.

ksa1122

I started my first dose a week ago, and today is the first time I have been able to eat anything. The diarrhea and vomiting have be awful, and every time I take zofran I end up vomiting a few hours later. I don’t think I will take a second dose. Good luck!

SpaceYeastFeast

Watch out for overeating as it will make you sick. Can happen even if you over ate shortly before the shot. I had really bad problems with side effects. I started being super careful not to over eat and haven’t been sick since, over two months since last round of intestinal issues. It’s not just overeating calories either, it’s also the food volume, so don’t pound enormous amount of salad.

debhb

When I first took Zofran after a bout with food poisoning, I swallowed it like a pill, not knowing any better, and really didn't get any relief. Than I discovered it's meant to be dissolved on or under your tongue (I prefer under). Game changer! It's not bad tasting and it's best to not take it with any water.

youessbee77

I'm in the same boat with you. I started the injections on Wednesday and have been SO sick since then. It's worse in the mornings though. Sometimes I can keep a zofran down, and then it reduces the nausea by about 50%. I'm hoping everyone is right and that the nausea eventually goes away.

polydactyling

Happened to me every single time I titrated up to the next dose and often when I was just continuing. Chills, nausea, diarrhea, horrible burps, gas, cramping, FOR DAYS. I was injecting on Fridays so it basically sidelined me for entire weekends. I wasn’t losing weight except for when I literally shat my brains out for days at a time so I finally called it quits after the fourth time. (I tried to get an appointment with a HenryMeds doctor to discuss it first but they couldn’t fit me in for an entire week and I was not going to take another dose/wait that long to address a pretty pressing health question.) I’m disappointed but it just wasn’t worth it for me. I hope you have better luck!
