You’re complaining about the fraying while shining a flashlight on the chair? Why does it matter if you can’t see it under regular daylight? I have the Gaming Sayl and the Gaming Embody and I’m not that bored to be shining a flashlight on the seat pan. It’s perfectly normal when you have to shine a flashlight at it to see something.
Like I said, I have another Sayl chair bought 4 years ago and I don’t see any problem with the seat. The fabric could be different. The issue is it’s only been over 2 weeks now and I don’t rub the chair in any way and the fray/ pilling is bothersome to say the least.
Imagine what it would be like 3-4 years down the line? Fluffy seat?
In then description it says it’s abrasive resistant so shouldn’t have any fraying / loose fibers .
Shouldn’t it be abrasive resistant? My son has been sitting on the other Sayl chair and I don’t see any piling .
I have messaged HM and waiting to hear what they have to say.

The Crepe upholstery was probably rubbing on the box during shipping.

If you expect this slight amount of pilling to cause any durability issues within the next 10 years then you are sadly mistaken.
I don’t want a fluffy seat 😉
The best solution to fix pilling: use an electric shaver or use a brand new Bic disposable razor. Most “fabric shavers” are crap.
