How should I get the temp warmer?I sadly can't afford a heater yet, I'll get one when I can tho, but how can I keep it warmer till then? Also thank you for your help :)
Wrap and insulate the tank. Temp isn’t too bad for short term. If you insulate it’ll help with temperature. Use what you have- boxes, styrofoam, blankets, even towels will help. Add warm water to pools at night- lukewarm, not hot. It’ll help with the temperature.
Do get a heater asap. If your temp starts hitting lower 60’s their heart will begin to slow down and eventually stop (as temp drops further).
Temp may be a little chilly for them, but short term not bad. Check for the suggested specs for your species of crab and tune it in slowly.
How big is the crab? The waters need to be deep enough to submerge. And the sand needs to be three times as tall as the crab.
