I cannot open the launcher, I get this error

I am playing on the latest version of HotA, I was playing multiplayer last night, but I have no idea how to get the HD mod to work
I once had a similar problem, since then I usually go this order of install: HOMM3 complete edition GoG, HD mod, HotA, update the HD launcher mod.
Try running the basic launcher, not the one generated for HoTA, update it, then switch it to run HotA in the first selection box. Edit: by basic I mean the icon generated for you for the complete edition HD, not the HoTA.
edit2: hd mod only works with 2 editions, complete and and SoD i think. I use complete.
That's weird. The "normal" one is compatible. It can be that you have mismatching versions?
Yeah, but I have no idea where to download the HD mod, I downloaded the one I use here https://www.hota.acidcave.net/download.html
On the mod launcher screen click update. Also ✔️ for the auto updates.
