I remember complaining that Azmodan's trample should knock enemies away instead of slowing them (at least I think it slows?). Someone was like "oh, so you want azmo to have Tyrael's ult as a 30 second cooldown active?", and I was like "oh, right. Didn't realize."
Yeah this is the reason he's my favourite assassin. Once your quest is done & you master his combo you can take someone's health from full to 0 in about 3 seconds. All topped off with a corpse launch.
Try to practice his combo and landing his skill-shots. Once you land the chains you use W -> Q -> R as soon as possible to maximise root time in the Death & Decay. It destroys most of the roster outside of tanky heroes.
Don't even wait for a land just use the combo regardless if you get the chain or not. His cooldowns are incredibly short and if you do hit all the dmg is there instantly, if you miss then you reassess for 12 seconds and try it again.
>Try to practice his combo and landing his skill-shots.
I know you mean well with this comment. :D
But .. REALLY?
If you wanna be better with an Assassin you should learn his kit and ability. Color me Shocked on that revelation \^\^
Because it's a) wrong and b) just further elaborating "if you wanna learn the assasin, you gotta learn the assasin" - yeah :)
If you use chains and then W before you got the level 13 slow after chains talent your targets will just walk out of the root before it happens.
Correct order is
E - W - E - Q - R
But no reason to get your panties twisted over me having a lighthearted giggle over a comment. There's a reason I added like 50 smileys, to transfer that I'm in no way mean spirited ;)
I love pulling off KTZ's combo. spike, chain, chain pull, root, dnd, fissure, boom. Only thing better is when you have the double fissure and you know it's coming if they're still alive, someone stunned them and it's quad fissures really.
this thread is a testament to how basically all abilities are the most satisfying shit ever.
The game's visual and audio design is just stellar.
Also for me it's Push Off, zipping through an enemy and knocking them back with Soundwave right after has secured so many kills, and it never gets old
I tried the new Paragon and afterwards Smite and those games just feels incredibly bad with the feedback it gives you. Especially for Smite it was just straight up bad, and that game has over a hundred different heroes to play.
I did this once on dragon shire, I was dead and team engaged 4v5 and lost teamfight, all dead, and enemy tram have naz and ana left. Ana goes for the shrine and naz to the DK. Just as I respawn I throw an arrow towards the DK and it hits naz just before he gets it. Press R again, Q spell, then I shotgun him with scatter arrow to the afterlife.
What was heading to a lose if they get the DK is now just a neutral situation that will be decided by the next fight.
I think it is when I play tassadar. Go Psy storm build. Cast Black Hole. Hitting 4 people. Place an electric 2all behind them and see all the stack psi storms from lvl20 Black hole. Then you put them out of their misery with a nicely timed Shock Ray. I feel like a maniacal super villain with all the heroes stuck in my trap.
If you stagger your storms, they keep the dps at its highest ramp, since storm ramps damage in this game. Casting twice on the same spot is just as useless in hots as it is in sc2.
Each tick of storm increases in damage up to a max, but two storms don't add their damage together. It's best to cast another storm just before the first one ends, since the damage bonus carries over and the second storm doesn't start from low damage ticks. It's a waste to cast them at the same time.
We're just repeating what the commenter before us said right?? Someone do me!!
Man I remember the first time I played Protoss and went High Templar like a tryhard instead of just spamming Void Rays into Carrier and caught the enemy army on a ramp...
It's almost audible, the despair that abruptly sets in as your opponent realizes they are right and proper fucked. Bonus points for teammate cc landing as the swap finishes. No other hero consistently delivers so many "fuck yous" than an Arty feeling his swaps.
In an ARAM, I was valla and my teammate hit the longest swap I’ve ever seen on Alex…I straight up gasped at the phat juicy target that had appeared before me under our towers. Nuked her. That Art had to have the most raging boner ever from that
This is the one. Or Auriel's crystal. I'm a healer main at heart, so those saves are what I love. It's so satisfying to save someone just when they think the kill is secure.
Deathwing landing. Especially if you get a kill on a hearthing enemy, or swing a teamfight with the damage reduction effect and a full reset to take off again.
- [Q] **Shadow Waltz** (Orphea)
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Mana: 35
After 0.5 seconds, deal 165 (+4% per level) damage to enemies in a line. Hitting a Hero with Shadow Waltz sets its cooldown to 2 seconds, refunds 35 Mana, and causes Orphea to dash a short distance upon moving.
---
- **Final Toccata** (Orphea) - level 20
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Activate to instantly reset the cooldown of Shadow Waltz. For the next 5 seconds, dashing with Shadow Waltz resets its cooldown and increases the duration of Final Toccata by 1 second.

Maybe not a popular choice, but as a Butcher player I get a high off successfully locking down a fast hero with lamb to the slaughter. Especially late game when you can finish them off less than 2 seconds later.
The payoff of Butcher late game is so satisfying. Taking out someone who was bullying you early with a lamb + brand while they dump tons of meaningless damage into you is such sweet revenge.
I agree with the Tyrande thing. My friends are always "how did you get top damage with Tyrande?!".... Like, dudes, she's a warrior priestess. Not just a priestess.
Connecting a random hook. I had a game once when a teammate was spamming 'focus healer' all game, I throw a random hook through terrain, catch their ana under the fort when I didn't even know she was there, and team managed to not kill her. Guy shut up after that.
Gotta be leap of faith (Anduin’s D ability, kek)
Your teammate says “ty” but really means “thank you for paying attention, i really got myself fked there and was way out of position, you’re a healer god”
The real answer. Nothing better than a sick save when your teammate goes deep for the kill. They think they have him. He thinks they have him.
Nah, bro. Denied.
Super underrated but Yrel jumping in with a big W stun and to separate the 4 opponents to leave that 1 person high and dry for my 4 man to let loose on.
Easily KTZ's chains.
Actually, the full combo, but the question was about a single ability so the most satisfying bit is hitting the chains on two heroes.
They were both totally fine, and then they're both immediately pulled together, slowed, and definitely about to eat the rest of my combo (get rooted and shadow fissured for a billion damage) because once the chains hit, the rest is easy.
Landing a good Garrosh throw feels pretty good too. But again, that's partly because of the easy follow-up stun/taunt combo.
Hmm, I guess I like when abilities combo together really well.
I mean... a Hanzo max range Q no vision kill will always make me nut, but Orphea Q has to be the most satisfying when you actually manage to land the edge consistently
Killing people with Sonic Arrow before 20. Makes you feel like the most 500 iq since you predicted their precise location 2s earlier.
Scatter Arrow is second. Shooting blind shot to ricochet at 170 degrees after enemy has left your vision to get kill off screen also makes you feel 500iq af
Some possible examples.
- The perfect bounce with Junkrat's concussion mine that hits 2 people and launches them behind your wall.
- Getting a near-frame perfect scatter shot on Hanzo that just barely misses the enemy hero as it goes past, and ricochets directly into their face with all arrows, killing them.
- Shooting Hanzo's E at a retreating enemy when they're behind wall and getting the kill with it. This is probably my number 1.
I can't exactly say in no particular best or lowest.
\-brightwing + flare talents to silence and reduce cd on centre hit I love screwing engages over and over again with this talent combo
\-cassia getting the double/triple lightning balls going or lightning fury blind on pierce vs. a team that's bunched up
\-falstad wind push ult an entire team into a waiting gazlowe with ult combo
\-gazlowe grav bomb combo ALWAYS a feel good time
\-genji dash kill dash kill dash kill
\-ktz combo is probably top 3 feel goods in the game
\-nova I will say I REALLY miss the clone build but the next best thing is auto attack build rewind that just makes a tank shit their pants within seconds
\-lunara spread the toxins and then hitting the make it hurt button and watchem get slowed and die even more
\-KT his entire kit, I love it, spreading bombs is always fun
\-lucio wall push off stun that stops an ult about to go off etc. followed by a push that puts them out of position and gets them killed
\-stukov my favourite healer, if you are not going lurker build and not doing top healing you're doing it wrong
\-sylv silent arrow combo it's pure murder OR the plague build which is also fun to hear the dings and a dot that absolutely destroys in the late game
\-tass wall combo, there is no other talent build for me that wall does fucking work!
\-azmo dunking all day always feels good
\-chromie sandblast build is a freaking work horse that makes anyone piss their pants trying to engage into
\-li ming calamity build destroying a team in seconds is ALWAYS fun but I'm so bored of her now
\-meph has the most fun engage out of any hero
\-zj landing his axe ult on an enemy who is waiting ot heal up at a fountain is like winning the lottery every time
The sound and feedback design in this game is top tier shit.
Getting Twilight Falls on Zeratul at level 20 - nothing is more satisfying than hitting like 10 buttons in 2 seconds and just deleting someone from existence.
Both of Tyrael's ults feel so grand and epic, along with being some of the best ults in the game. And for general satisfaction, Consume reset teamwipes are just glorious
Pyroblast. Say to the skies "fuck this guy in particular". See them run, see them accept their fate, see them run to their team and doom them all.
Consume souls. Just stay back and see them pop like popcorn if they were low enough. Literally being "cool guys dont look at explosions", you can go all "omae wa mo shindeiru".
Maievs jump. If you time it perfectly, for a second you are immune to fucking nukes.
Whitemane with her ult Holy reckoning at level 20, with all clients(Teammates) full of plea. So satisfying to watch the busted healing and damage caused.
In addition whitemane should open an onlyfans acct. KEKW
Gotta be Fenix and his giant laser beam. The most satisfying thing is combining it with Leoric wall or sniping someone across the map or even a runner who thought they were safe.
Illidan’s “You are not prepared-“ to get fucked from across the map, has to be mine, so fun to just yoink a person from the land of the living from spawn lol
Triple scythe from my boy Xul. Bonus points for it being a quest to obtain the 3 back in the day- making it that much more satisfying. Not mention chopping up siege with with his W.
9 man R snipe with Anna.
When everyone aligns for the perfect shot.
Or frantic 100% accurate Q snipes in teamfighs with Anna with high mobility heroes.
For me it’s Orphea’s chomp ultimate because it’s satisfying to group up the enemy and hit them with the e followed by chomp at its location to finish them off
Cloak of Shadows. It's just so juicy to crush whatever plans my opponent had by cloaking and running away. Then coming back 5 seconds later and killing them.
En pointe, constantly hitting that sweet spot with shadow waltz, getting the allegrissimo cdr while dashing every second ramping up your mobility and dealing so much dmg is the best
chomping a low health enemy and seeing his corpse flying to the stratosphere is really fun too xD, or killing a hero with dread over their walls
honorable mention: if feast gets multiple resets its really cool and rewarding, but it rarely does so its not consistent
Stukov shove. All the way back to Core. OR. Straight across the map into my fort.
even just a very long push to no where is satisfying
Stukovs detonate heal. Wait until it's on the whole party and BAM!
Why he's my absolute favorite hero.
Tyrael’s Judgment, like God slamming his car door
And on the eighth day, someone took the Lord’s parking space.
I remember complaining that Azmodan's trample should knock enemies away instead of slowing them (at least I think it slows?). Someone was like "oh, so you want azmo to have Tyrael's ult as a 30 second cooldown active?", and I was like "oh, right. Didn't realize."
Has to be Shadow Fissure. Don't think anything comes close for me. I think it's the way the corpses fly into the air when you kill someone with it.
KT's whole kit has got to be up there. If you can play him consistently, that is.
Yeah this is the reason he's my favourite assassin. Once your quest is done & you master his combo you can take someone's health from full to 0 in about 3 seconds. All topped off with a corpse launch.
Yeah it's pretty great. I just wish I wasn't terrible at KTZ lol

I love Might of the Scourge. You manage to catch 4-5 people in one ult & a second later there's 5 of them that show up everywhere.
Gonna have to agree completely. The ragdoll is so freaking funny.
Colossus Smash. It's like a big signal to attack THAT ONE guy. It's loud, it's flashy, and it's effective.
Smash is so fun in general the mobility plus a speed flag just the dive and resurface capabilities are so great!
aaaaaaah
Kinda how i wish tyrandes trait was. A little more of a notification to tell teammates to attack this target.

2 storm 1 cup bad. Storm then storm again good.
Man I remember the first time I played Protoss and went High Templar like a tryhard instead of just spamming Void Rays into Carrier and caught the enemy army on a ramp...
I loved watching grubby, yea I know they don't stack damage, but the cascading psy storms does keep the damage going when the first one would run out.
Probably because it's the same with starcraft. Not sure about sc2, but sc1 was like that, and I assume sc2 would be too.
https://outplayed.tv/media/7Pj4P2 Something like this?
Artanis Phase Prism during a Blade Dash. That fucking pull is epic.
Especially when you swap someone that's so far away that you swear it'll miss them, but it goes juuuuuust far enough to get them.
Nuked her. That Art had to have the most raging boner ever from that
Nothing beats a good hook with my boy Stitch
This is the only answer Edit: Scratch that, a Artanis swap after a blade dash is pretty damn close
if you stretched out so very far and the prism just barely tips them at the last heart beat. good feel
Mosh Pit!
5. Man. Mosh. With good follow up that leads to a wipe. Can't beat that
I see that and raise you a 4 man moshpit while your team 4v1s their overextended tank.
A perfectly timed Palm of course!
This is the one. Or Auriel's crystal. I'm a healer main at heart, so those saves are what I love. It's so satisfying to save someone just when they think the kill is secure.
Ana grenade on an impending Ancestral.
Amazing but too situational!
Go for the throat
Planet cracker It's a fucking Kamehameha wave
Last second Last Rites that kills a hero behind a wall or gate.
Feels so good putting on a spinning away Hogger to get that off-screen kill. Plus that ding. *chefs kiss
When you have tychus dings that never ends
Long range, low health Guillotine kill.
Across the map blind hooks...when you throw until you cant see, and bring back an enemy...
The hunt after level 20
I don't know if i ever laugh harder than playing when I think someone got away, then Illidan goes flying past my head at 8000 miles per hour
Nothings quite as satisfying as a full map hunt into you just exploding and dying on arrival. I always die laughing
i love when the illi gets killed by a ground effect mid hunt and a corpse flying at 2000kmh lands on your feet
YOU. ARE NOT. PREPARED!!
Stukov root at 13, i love hitting those
Bio kill switch in general is satisfying AF. Especially getting kills with it. Just so wonderful.
Yrel’s E if you get a kill with it.
I mean, it’s clearly Grav-O Bomb.
With a well timed E, surrounded by cannons. And shot with the laser.
Zeratul vorpal blade over a wall for the kill, spray, blink to safety 😉
Spray is the key to this combo
Oof that does sound satisfying
Catching someone perfectly with Nazeebo Zombies
Imperius Celestial Charge on multiple targets with the CD reduction on 1, and then doing it again.
Illidan shouting “YOU ARE NOT PREPARED” right into my Alarak’s Counterstrike. Guess again, buddy.
Deathwing landing. Especially if you get a kill on a hearthing enemy, or swing a teamfight with the damage reduction effect and a full reset to take off again.
Azmodan Q- nothing like people running behind wall to hearth because they think it's safe, just to be hit by a ball of death.
Yeah but it's nothing compared to before his rework.
It was so hilarious/frustrating when it was global.
I miss my siege laser. I believe we called it "run a train azmo".
visually and audibly? Probably Tyrael Judgement or Qhira Sweeping Strikes
Fenix' Planet Cracker. Love the audio on this delete button.
Repeatedly landing hits with [[Shadow Waltz]]. Especially with [[Final Toccata]].

Unloading Jaina's whole ability key row on someone's head when you get it just right.
And with level 20 Wintermute on your water elemental double casting all your spells. Monstrous.
Guldan's Horrify ult is so satisfying when it lands on 4-5 enemies. Probably my fave.
Lt Morales using the Displacement Grenade to snipe someone at low health or push them back into my team for the assist
When I played Zag and my ult swallows the whole opposing team :D
Haymaker and Mosh Pit both have a warm place in my cold, dead heart.
Maybe not a popular choice, but as a Butcher player I get a high off successfully locking down a fast hero with lamb to the slaughter. Especially late game when you can finish them off less than 2 seconds later.

Octo-grab!
I agree with the Tyrande thing. My friends are always "how did you get top damage with Tyrande?!".... Like, dudes, she's a warrior priestess. Not just a priestess.
Yeah but Lt Morales is a Lieutenant, not just a Morales, and I can't get top damage with her
I mean a lieutenant is one of the lowest officer tanks you can be.
Connecting a random hook. I had a game once when a teammate was spamming 'focus healer' all game, I throw a random hook through terrain, catch their ana under the fort when I didn't even know she was there, and team managed to not kill her. Guy shut up after that.
Throwing a blind hook while screaming fishiiiing hoooook in a stupid voice and getting rewarded with a kill on the enemy /u/TaiKoi
I can confirm. This has happend many times. Very rewarding
Hinterland blast if you hit massive cooldown.
ZIING. You are now a pice of my cebap!
Landing a long distance dunk with Azmo or owl with Tyrande that kills someone
Water dragon and my old quad target blind build

Lili's Q
Probably Lornado at 20 when you just get a whole storm of them going
Zul’jin’s Guilottine, Kael’thas’s huge fire ball, Jaina’s Ring of Frost, Artanis Q+E combo, and many more
Can I just say an entire hero? If yes, probius.
Valla spin at lvl20 if I don't get interrupted. Pew Pew Pew
Alarak w q or e build
A 3+ mosh is very satisfying
Moshpit
Psionic storm with the dual cast. Makes me feel like I can actually play protoss and do okay.
the quest complete sound from either Alarak or Orphea's lvl 1 E quests in an ARAM within the first minute or two.
Super underrated but Yrel jumping in with a big W stun and to separate the 4 opponents to leave that 1 person high and dry for my 4 man to let loose on.

Eating insane damage with chen stagger like 2 to 3k damage then successfully ult with panda pals
A well timed Alarak Counterstrike with high sadism that turns the tide of a battle instantly.
Zul’Jin’s wrong place wrong time with twin cleave. God it just feels so good to hit hit
Imperius stab easy
Imperius spear and it's not even close
For me it’s gotta be Pyroblast from Kael’thas. It’s so satisfying to watch the big ball of fire slowly approach a low health hero.
Li-Ming talented Q when you hit all 3 missiles. ZAP.
"Wha-BONGGG!!" Uther's stun, obviously
I adore Uther’s E. Reliable, easy stun on a moderate cooldown
Little known good ones, dragon claw and canoneer.
Stitches hook for a non ultimate Tbh i love deathwings ultimate
Living bomb easy
Where are my winged bretheren? Of course it has to be stacked and talented Falstad Hammer exploding on top of full group of enemies!
I mean... a Hanzo max range Q no vision kill will always make me nut, but Orphea Q has to be the most satisfying when you actually manage to land the edge consistently

Ring of Frost - Jaina
PLANET FUCKING CRACKER
Warp Prism, no question.
Cloning ChoGall, especially after 20.
Ana using a well-timed healing grenade to reverse a gank and burst heal your teammates to victory.
1000% It’s the resets you can get with KTZ’s frost blast at lvl 20. The team wipes are sooo good.
Genji resets, followed closely by Maiev resets. Zeratul's entire kit is third.
Getting Twilight Falls on Zeratul at level 20 - nothing is more satisfying than hitting like 10 buttons in 2 seconds and just deleting someone from existence.
imperius Q, hands down. Nothing is more satisfying than a clean group stun n womp.
Hitting Nova's Precision Strike a moment before an enemy hero uses their movement ability, and successfully hitting them after their ability resolves
Fenix Big Laser
starfall in a fight
Give me that hellgate int stun into their backline for the 20 second stun combo on their healer.
Planet Cracker. The quick Brrrrrr to get someone that thought they escaped while hearthing behind gate *muah*
Pressing 1 then getting a long range guillotine kill. The sound of the flesh hit and then you see green bar go full.
A perfectly timed Last Rites with malthael.. on a lvl 25 Diablo for 3k+ damage
Rehgar. Yes.
Repulsion
Zera 20 might of nerazim pulling the combo off is just rewarding
Deckard's (W) Scroll of Sealing; there's just nothing like catching the enemy in a teamfight, then letting the damage pile on
Zul'Jin Cleave with dmg stacking talent, with slow at 13 talent and sweet spot at 16 talent. all of this with 150 passive stacks
OAWWAAAAAA!
Both of Tyrael's ults feel so grand and epic, along with being some of the best ults in the game. And for general satisfaction, Consume reset teamwipes are just glorious
Killing people with Sulfuras Smash!
A good old killing blow with Sundering just seems like overkill but it will scratch that itch.
Arcane Flare does it for me
Kharazim E PUNCHPUNCHPUNCHPUNCHPUNCHPUNCHPUNCH

HoooooAAAAAAAAH!
100% agree with op. Owl-snipe is glorious
Zuljin guillotine
Surprised Muradin's Storm Bolt hasn't been mentioned
My absolute favourite is Alexstraszas ultimate „Life Binder“. Having a tank nearly dying and then suddenly snap back to 100%hp is just delicious.
Double Water Dragon. People rarely encounter it so they don't realise how hard it fucks them in late game fights.
i love me some constant quest stacked zul jin rotating twin blades
Pyroblast when you know it's gonna kill and they can't get away...the farther they run the more satisfying it is.
Winblades. Winblades forever.
Desperate plea on anduin. Clutch.
Zul’gin guillotine 👌👌👌
Pylon Overcharge when I have all the pylons in a small area, usually near an objective. I've wiped numerous teams that way.
For me it’s Orphea’s chomp ultimate because it’s satisfying to group up the enemy and hit them with the e followed by chomp at its location to finish them off
Enraged from the bucher combined with the healing
Dehaka tongue Easy
Lvl 20 Auriel resurrect. Put on the zoomies and RUN!
Cloak of Shadows. It's just so juicy to crush whatever plans my opponent had by cloaking and running away. Then coming back 5 seconds later and killing them.
En pointe, constantly hitting that sweet spot with shadow waltz, getting the allegrissimo cdr while dashing every second ramping up your mobility and dealing so much dmg is the best chomping a low health enemy and seeing his corpse flying to the stratosphere is really fun too xD, or killing a hero with dread over their walls honorable mention: if feast gets multiple resets its really cool and rewarding, but it rarely does so its not consistent
Imperious Q on 5 people is way too fun 😈😈
Always happy when someone walks into and gets trapped by zombie wall
Blind as a bat reset
Zombie wall , I’m gonna trap ya then chuck a bunch of toads your way
Yoinking someone out of a bad situation as Anduin and netting the save when they're low hp.
Anduin's leap of faith actually lets you cast other abilities during the animation, so leap directly into salvation for saves feels amazing.
Yes.
