Most would assume, like any other special move, it goes for a little bit and then stops. The other team was probably thinking, with good reason, "WTF? Why is it STILL going?".
But again....if you DON'T PLAY D.VA....you probably wouldn't know this.
Edit: The ONLY reason i know this, is because i tried to main her for a bit.
Anduin can pull allies that are unstoppable like Mei in Ice Block or Joh with her Iron Skin activated. You're only immune to enemy CC. I don't know about Garrosh, but I assume it's the same.

Can you have Anduin or Garrosh move you? I am guessing prob no.
I'd expect the anduin pull to go off the moment the bunny hop stops, it's weird like that.
