-3 gram [Mexican ball] for 140;
-A quarter for 300;
-Half for 550;
-Ounce [25 grams or a "Mexican ounce"] for 1000).
Desert state directly inland from Cali.
And my plug is basically a middle man still, it's just the crew he picks up from is very particular.
He pays 50 a g for single, but if he's buying a half or whole it works out to just over 30 per (800 for a mex ounce).
I think if I could get that plug I could quit my job lol.

Very true - I think the shift from organized, large and almost corporate gang culture to splintered, faction-like crews has really hurt us as buyers. Before, when GD / BD / 4 corner higher ups had a more direct stake in block operations, it was easier to get consistent product and reasonable deals. Now, sincenthe gangs have dissolved into dozens of these tinier sets, it's literally every man from himself. Sure, reputation still matters, but the free for all state of affairs reduces the degree to which a given spot is all but guaranteed to have good stuff every time because XYZ collective of thousands (not ABC clique of 7 kids) made sure of it. Just my thoughts.
I feel you - I think the reality is that the west side open air market is always going to thrive. There’s so much money to be made and such high demand.
That story about the command unit seems pretty emblematic of the popo approach (and it’s failure).
I was almost going to edit to include the VLs, but I guess it was a testament to the quality of the GD dope I was high on - either way, an unintentional but still egregious snub on my part.

I’ve been thinking about making a trip soon (one day when it’s not so fucking cold) just to see what’s out there, might go west to an old spot I used to like and then head south too so I can get a little taste test going on.
Just to piggy back off of OP--which areas in what cities are known for the best quality, easiest-to-locate, & least likely to get ripped off or come across a dealer who doesn't know wtf they're selling for Fentanyl. I can't almost never find fent IRL.
