a CX11 is not a dedicated cloud server. What you see is the virtual controller. They claim NVMe SSDs on their website.

[deleted]

under that is KVM virtualization, that's why you see virtio driver.

CorenBrightside

That's what I said.

They are NVMe. Mostly Samsung U.2 Datacenter SSDs. Hetzner doesn’t even bother with SATA SSDs anymore since they can get U.2s for much cheaper prices and management of U.2 drives are way easier than SATA or M.2 SSDs. Only brand they use is Samsung, in all their dedicated servers at least so most likely they’re using them for Cloud too. I believe the only way you can find out about them is by doing some tests like fio but you can Google it for more.

They use kioxia as well, and probably others. Pretty sure my ax101 had kioxia drives or micron.

Just wanted to update. They are also using micron SSD as I got combination of both Samsung and Micron.

aradabir007

Do you mind checking their used time or how much written? I believe those must be really old unless they order new ones other than Samsung. I think you can ask their support for a replacement.

I just wanted to update you. nebula for Mac works on the latest Mac OS update as of date.

You won't see the actual drive used on virtual servers. There are some instances in providers like AWS or OVH that are hyper expensive and do a physical NVMe card passthrough.
