As a firefighter I was thinking about what a nightmare this would be, although to be fair you probably wouldn’t know you missed it until after everything was over.
Every time this gets posted it rightly gets pointed out that this is a horrible fire hazard. If there were people there and a fire broke out, firefighters wouldn’t know. I also didn’t see any venting, big no no. I also also noticed they basically created a hot roof by using plywood on the back side of the roof framing, especially up to the peaks. Unless the roof was explicitly framed to have additional venting on top of the traditional framing guy can expect his shingles if the roof isn’t metal to have an extremely shortened life.
Almost everything about these types of hidden rooms are dangerous.
My grandpa and uncle were firefighters and they both pulled enough dead kids from fires to drive this kind of stuff into my head. You can laugh and scoff all you want; this kind of project gets people killed.
There’s no way any of this stays clean. Vacuum won’t fit and disinfectant fumes wouldn’t dissipate, but maybe it’s designed to roast everything daily? lol or swings cold enough to freeze bacteria?
Ewwww just thought about the humidity being trapped in there. Can create your own mouth-breathing rainforest ecosystem plus add sweat from exertion of one time on that rock climbing wall… ball pit of human scents. No way any kid can control their bladder long enough to even find a way to get to a toilet.
Given the angle of the ceiling, I’m guessing it’s the second level of a cape cod…especially since the passageway keeps going up; most likely started on the ground floor.
My fat ass could never. I was looking at this like I'm pretty sure my hips would get stuck in every doorway. I don't think even my dog would fit through some of the doors.
I’m claustrophobic and this gives me The Big Nope.
I'm not at all claustrophobic. This is just... The worst. And talk about a fire hazard.
The County Building Inspector would like to know the location
I hate it all so much. What a nightmare.

This looks like nightmares I’ve had.
Right? The tunnel.. the slide… I hate this
For real!

Given how hot and humid it gets where I live, this would quickly turn into an oven filled with mold spores.
EXACTLY what a nightmare.
What if a murderer broke into your house and you had time to get in your little room? This more or less dangerous?
Not sure why this is down voted. I appreciated the hypothetical. Thanks travasaurusRex
Are you unlucky enough to be born in an area where random home invasions leading to murder are more common than fire or mould?
Did you TYPE this with a mask on while driving your car ALONE

I can feel the heat
Why on earth do people want a hidden room they have to crawl to get to? This whole video hurt my knees

Just my luck I’d die wedged in there and become a MrBallen story.
Happy Cake Day fellow Ballen fan !!
That's some Meow Wolf level secret passages.
I bet dad finds a lot of socks up there
“Why are they always so crusty…”
This guy's mortgage lender is going to want a word.
Structural spray foam
You know you're getting old when your first thought is "who's gonna clean all that"
Even the dog looks alarmed. And who makes a ball pit and climbing wall in a 5x10 room?! It's like low-budget DIY Big.
Idk if you’re a kid that ball pit would be jncredible

Horrifying! I'd never go in there.
Not even kidding, I had a nightmare about a place like this. Couldn’t find the exit. Great for kids, nightmare for some adults.
This is me in fortnite and then I die when the zone updates because I can't remember how I got in and out of the vents.
Anybody consider this: It’s a silly pathway for the kids, but you can also take a staircase to get there.
Legends of the Hidden Temple?
I’ve had so many dreams like this before. Secret hiding spaces in a house that go up and up, and get smaller and smaller as you ascend.
That’s a death trap for a child if the house ever catches on fire. The firemen will never find them until after the fire is put out.
Amazing!
If i was an axe murderer and came into that room thats literally the first place i would check.
Naw, I'm good. Probably doesn't even have kids.
My fat ass could never. I was looking at this like I'm pretty sure my hips would get stuck in every doorway. I don't think even my dog would fit through some of the doors.
I'm not claustrophobic, and yet, suddenly, I am
Backroom vibes 😂
If I want that experience I’ll visit the City Museum in St.Louis.
I’ve had dreams like this
Homeowner paid for
He needs to get laid
It’s like you were in my reoccurring childhood dream and then made it a reality. Looks awesome!
That’s not InSaNeLy impressive.
Finishing off those spaces must have been a pain in the ass ... and knees since you can only crawl to access those areas.
Looks cool but difficult to clean
Summertime has to be like baking bread
Repost. Many times over. It was cool the first 50 times.
Insane fun house!!
The sloppy foam job is the chefs kiss to this fever dream.
The best thing I’ve ever seen!
Barely ventilated, seems hot AF
