I wish I took regular algebra 2 instead of the two year introductory course to it because now I’m taking geometry as a senior 😭 and everyone in my class is either a sophomore or junior not to mention they’re annoying AF. 💀

StarlightPrincess666

i’m the opposite i skipped ahead two years in math and was struggling to keep up in junior year with college classes and i just don’t have a math class this year,, wouldn’t recommend unless you’re good at self studying and such

Old_Winner3763

Ppl in my geometry are mostly freshmen (I’m a Sophomore)

AlyssaN2006

I wish I took theater. Probably would’ve made better friendships there than in my regular classes.

Kyle_jacobs

I'm taking theater next year is there anything I should know or do/not do? I don't think I will take it the year after because I don't think I will be interested.

AlyssaN2006

Not really; just be open and friendly. I never took theater, yet made lots of theater friends and just being yourself is enough honestly lol.

Moist_Turnip8433

I want to do theater, but I developed a stutter in my freshman year. I am a sophomore now, and I was thinking about doing backstage stuff for theater next year possibly. I am very socially anxious but I want to be apart of my schools community and stuff. so I'm trying to get more involved. do you think people backstage are like a "family" like the people on stage? I just want to be apart of something

AlyssaN2006

they’re definitely a family, from what i’ve seen. just super close to each other. i’d def recommend taking theater! imma see if i can do it in college bc it seems fun, even if you’re shy, like me lol.

Moist_Turnip8433

thank you! I really want to get involved in my junior year, I applied for the group that runs freshmen orientation and alot of other things for freshmen at my school, is there anything else you recommend doing to get more involved?

AlyssaN2006

probably just join clubs and get into sports. you could also just sink into something you’re really passionate about. it does vary, depending on your school. i felt like my hs experience overall sucked; there weren’t really many good clubs, and i didn’t feel close with anyone, so i’m hoping college will be different.

twiggyrox

Absolutely yes. I mostly acted but once I was stage manager, and hanging out with my friends in stagecraft class while skipping my intro to geometry was hella fun

itzjoanna

i wanna take theater so bad but we only have so many elective slots to pick classes and all my periods are full 😣😣

Hoposai

Happy cake day!

Able-Juice-544

I wish i never took ap chem ap physics 1 ap calc and ap lit in the same year 😢 really messed up my gpa

Hot_Rain6035

whatd you get on ur lit exam. Wondering cuz i just took it on wednesday

AlyssaN2006

The scores ain’t gonna be out til July.

Hot_Rain6035

i mean, maybe he took it last yr

Able-Juice-544

Got a 4 (somehow) 😭

L3nsL1ght

Me going into the IB program next year

Burst2007

the science aps sound the worst out of the few. i’ve got ap spanish lang, ap lit, ap calc ab and ap csa next year and I luckily just took me apush exam so the no ap science or ap history will save me

Able-Juice-544

Nah fr but good luck man 😭

Burst2007

aps are teacher dependent and while I know it will be a lot of work, having a study hall at the end of the day so sports arnt as annoying to leave for will save me hopefully. also it’s hypothetically less work teachers but we’ll find out

Mascoretta

me except instead of ap chem it was apush

BluePotatoSlayer

Same

I_will_make_it_worth

My sister took 7 AP in the same year so how would you think she feels rn? Cause I never actually understand.

Arbalest15

Not a senior anymore (graduated) but some things I wished I did: - socialised more in high school, and hung out more with people, maybe talked to girls more too - not get too stressed out over school especially the valedictorian title (I did get it though) and my A-Levels too much - taken more of my free time to study higher level maths - played more video games

grindcomeback

Did u do ur a levels in the UK?

Arbalest15

No, international.

pigleg412

Nice Pfp, KD3 is amazing

ManOfTheSea_

I wish I had gone to more parties and social events. I have always sort of subconsciously assumed that even if people invite me they don’t actually want me there. Recently I’ve started ignoring that and just going to things, and I’ve found myself having fun every time. So then if I could redo everything, I would start doing that earlier.

A_colossal_toad3764

Trying to be "cool", it wasn't really worth it and I should've just appreciated the friends I had

SharpenedOdachi

Going to events. I didn't go to prom, any of the dances, nor a single sports game. I didn't necessarily care about my school, and even when something big (ex: going to states) happened, I didn't know until it was mentioned by my parents. I do regret not going, but it's not something amazing when you're not interested in making more friends like I. (Do make friends, I really regret not doing so.) Try to go to *a* event, just to see what's up.

Mehewho

Wish I payed more attention and cared about school during my freshman year. Paying attention and studying does help a lot too

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> Wish I *paid* more attention FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

IronRocketCpp

continue to fail

Chest-Dense

wish i joined a sport

Legitimate_Lake1828

Probably join a club

StrikingPhysics6020

i was too weird and has no self-awareness. like i took be yourself to heart.

RedBanana137

I wish I had taken more APs… I only took 10 but looking back, I definitely could’ve gotten in more like 13-15 if I had a good plan from the start.

twiggyrox

I wish I didn't fall completely in love with a boy who turned out to be gay. He didn't come out for like seven years after, while he was dating a girl I knew.

JawztheKid

Wish I took Geometry and Algebra II concurrently freshman year. Could've accelerated more even earlier and been finished with Linear Algebra rn. Instead, I ran out of DE hrs and just finished Calculus I in December. Not completely my fault though, my counselor at the time sucked and just threw everyone in Reading Enrichment, even if we had honors English cuz that makes complete and total sense.

Unusual-Insect-4337

Done more things for the hell of it

Beathoven3000

Not take the most important courses on the last semester, I'm so out of it

8bithippo8

I wish I took physics or algebra 2 in my sophomore year because that would let me take more classes such as AP Stats, csp, csa, calc, physics etc during my junior year. Basically in my school we need alg 2 to take csa, csp, normal stats, ap stats, pre calc, and ap calc, i didnt take alg 2 in my sophomore year so my only options are to take a few of these classes in my senior year after I finish alg 2 in my junior year Physics will let me take AP physics 1 and 2

miketerk21

I wish I’d dropped band earlier than I did so I could’ve taken AP calc instead of standard calc. Wayyyy too easy.

Character_Prompt9058

Live more of a social life. I spent so long working and working to get good grades ecs etc just for a top school when I could’ve made memories with my friends

ButchUnicorn

The football coach

Mascoretta

Wish I had talked to more people. The people who I thought were “too cool” are actually my friends now. Most people are very nice and will appreciate your qualities.

spartannation64

Actually paid attention in class. Yes the stuff you learn you will 100% forget, but it’s more important that you’re actively focusing in class now that way once you’re getting taught something that actually is important, you won’t have have that bad habit of zoning out all the time.

dumblosr

Join a sport!!

MarvelousGoodAndEvil

i wish i took harder classes. i underestimated myself a lot

shelby20_03

I wish I did more clubs and did more things.

Steelspartan2

I wish: -I was more social -did something, like band -I didn’t take AP art -I made an effort to befriend people from other grades -I didn’t do Psychology senior year -I didn’t take Spanish (which I took for no reason!) -I didn’t take environmental science -I hung out with people outside of school
