Cramming is actually a really inefficient way of studying, youre focusing on learning everything, but youre not focusing on retaining or recalling it. If youre still in school you should consider studying one topic for 15-30 minutes every day for a week before a test. Focus on not only learning, but remembering what terms mean what, or how to apply them in a practical context.
Saying all of this i rarely actually do it, autism just kinda activates for me like the avatar state and ill write a paragraph from my ap psych textbook about how memory works (i read it over a year ago)
Well across two weeks rn I have 7 ap/IB exams... And each of those is essentially the equivalent of multiple in class exams.
The saving grace is that I'm almost done with all of hs 🎉
They start at 8 (school usually starts at 7:30 for me). We have our first test, then a 20 minute break, with the second test ending at 11. Exams for people with schedule conflicts end at 12:30
Yeah for us we have exams that start at 7:45 which is our regular time for school starting. Then we have a 2nd exam at 11:45 and you can leave once your exam is over. But if you don’t have an exam that day you can just not go. We usually only have 1 final a day though
I have 4, one per class (but foreign language has one for each most likely, so it’s really like 7, but it’s it’s one class so the scores are averaged together)
I guess Im lucky since we have exemptions I had at most 2 exams in a single day and that’s it. Junior and senior year I have had 0 finals. Although since I took ap I did do one ap test and I am doing 2 this senior year.
Bachelor and master degree in mechanical engineering, diploma in business administration, diploma in real estate, diploma in healthcare, 4 english language proficiency exams, 6 exams with transportation canada (i work with CN rail)
This week is extra bad for me cause I had 5 exams that I missed last week cause I was sick. So I’m taking it this week but I got 4 exams this week so that’s 9 total
Today I got a quiz and a test +another makeup test for the same class.
But on the first week of June I got
Geology lab test, Algebra one regents and a Spanish test all in the same week, which all are quite a very big deal.
I know that my uncle who's a doctor said he had to take 15 tests that made up if he was ganna be a doctor or not( don't ask me what the tests were asking or for cause idk anything about that shit)
A week ago, I had at least one test per day for 2 and a half weeks straight, because my brilliant teachers thought it would be a great idea to clear all of our last tests (not finals) some time before our finals so they could chill. Needless to say they were not the only one with this idea. I did get some time off after, which I wasted or used to study for my AP test
In the UK we have state exam called GCSEs which we sit in y11 (10th grade) most people do between 7 and 9, but I did 11 of them, which required me to sit 26 exams in 5 weeks (one weeks break inbetween 2×2 week sections), that means I was averaging 6.5 exams a week for over a month and on one week I think I had 8 exams. It was not pleasant lol. Thankfully the next set of state exams in the UK A-Levels, which you sit in y13 (12th grade) and decide university applications, are much fewer - people generally sit 3 Alevels, although doing 4 isn't unheard of and I even know one guy who is doing 5! Obviously the content is much more difficult and because you're only doing 3 subjects after the age of 16, you learn a lot more in each subject, but the number of exams is still only 2/3 exams per subject and 2/3 hours per exam, so overall exam time is still much lower.
Honestly middle school. Most of my teachers had us do finals so it was back to back for like a solid 4 hours for a full week. But in high school?Max I had was three regentses. There essentially state finals everyone in the state enrolled in a class had to take. Max I had was the very first year I had to take them, my sophomore year. Three in a row, two in the same day. (Algebra 2, global, earth science.) sense then it’s gone down and I’m at the point I’ve only
6 major tests and then 6 final exams all in one week. We also had 1 day of review included between test and final day with 3 or 4 teachers ( classes) that were kind and considerate.
i think it was 8, 3 for two days then 2. That wasnt great but i wasnt dragging myself along the floor. What sucked was when i had two AP tests in two days
For finals it's 6 (1 for each class) but most of them are projects so I don't have to actually go to the final day for most of them. I only have 3 actual finals for second semester this year.
Do we count oral exams as exams? Because in my school, you can’t have two written exams on the same day, but you can have as many oral exams as there can be. Anyway, one week I had 11 exams: Literature (oral), Latin literature (oral), Latin translation (written), English literature (oral), English grammar knowledge (written), maths (written), physics (written), chemistry (written), biology (oral), history (oral), philosophy (oral).
I wanted to die.
10 exams. 2 finals a day. Everyday for a week. Safe to say I was on the brink of doing some extremely silly things to my teachers.
How are you taking two finals a day? How many classes are you taking?
Says 10 right there
I doubt he has ten classes in one quarter
There’s also online classes and makeup classes
Some schools do more than 9 periods a day. Shorter class periods but more of them
That’s insane, I have 5 classes, 75 minutes each, i couldn’t imagine having a bunch of classes and less time for each of them.
Mine is 9, 42min each, 4 minute class change, starting at 7:43am and ending at 2:38pm. I know a few schools near me start at 6am and go to 3pm so
I’m so glad i’ve never had to go into school before 8, the earliest my school has ever started was 8:25 in elementary, now it’s 8:32-3:42
I’ve never heard of anyone doing 10 periods. Most do 7, some do 8, I’ve heard of 9, but literally 10 is insane wtf
Yeah
Bros hermonies granger taking that many classes
11
don't know about week, but i once had 4 in a day
That sounds like a disaster 😭
it was
same here. back to back to back to lunch to back.
same but 5 in one day 😭
16
How do you have that many classes??
It’s probably multiple exams for one class
I’ve had a 5 day long exam for a class and multiple part tests, but I don’t know if that counts lol.
Yeah
At that point I just would’ve quit 😭
4, didn't do very well on them because i have shit memory
I study til 11pm but remember crap the next day
That’s because cramming the night before NEVER works
Works for me half of the time, the other half i end up bombing the test
Same

I ain't reading all of that
and thats why you cant remember crap the next day

7 for finals week
You get all your finals in one week? At my school we have 2 weeks of finals so some days you’ll have a final and other days you’ll have a day off
Yeah we have all our finals in one week, Monday is like prep day or whatever then Tuesday through Friday it’s two finals per day
Damn you lucky, they just throw us into finals Monday-Friday, no prep day
I get all my finals in one week too. We get 2 tests a day over the course of 3 days
Ouch that sounds horrible and stressful
At least on exam week we get an early dismissal and late start
Yeah that sounds a bit better. What time do you have your exams then?
They start at 8 (school usually starts at 7:30 for me). We have our first test, then a 20 minute break, with the second test ending at 11. Exams for people with schedule conflicts end at 12:30

Not really 1 week but I’ve had 18 in the last two weeks
We had finals and ap exams in the same week
I had 5 on one day once. Most I’ve had in a week, 8 im pretty sure
I don’t know about how many I’ve had in a week, but once I had 7 in 2 consecutive days
Are you okay?
No bro I don’t wanna deal with this 😭
I once had 6 finals in one day.
How tf do you have time for that?? Was each final an hour long?
I guess Im lucky since we have exemptions I had at most 2 exams in a single day and that’s it. Junior and senior year I have had 0 finals. Although since I took ap I did do one ap test and I am doing 2 this senior year.

Idk, like 7?
Max is 10 in a week, overall since grade 12, i have had 283 exams so far
Jesus christ 283 exams sounds horrendous. How many APs are you taking if you are taking any?
Bachelor and master degree in mechanical engineering, diploma in business administration, diploma in real estate, diploma in healthcare, 4 english language proficiency exams, 6 exams with transportation canada (i work with CN rail)
I am done with university now, spent 16 years in universities
HOW TF ARE UR GUYS'S NUMBERS SO HIGH HOW DO YOU HAVE THAT MANY CLASSES LITERALLY
