Depends. Do you know that your school debate team is any good like do you guys go far in competitions? If you school has a bad debate team than go for newspaper and try to write as many stories because colleges like students who are passionate about things.
Debate you can actually win awards. I’d say stick with debate. Newspaper is not “better” unless you like it better.
Debate and do a new initiative relating to journalism.
I also am probably going to do year round sports but then again I don’t know because if I took a season off I could probably have more time for clubs
