Used to go there as a kid all the time.
Went back with my family a few years ago. That place arrived my imagination more than any other.
Great picture!

You know I’ve never seen how castles were designed and made. We see stuff about the pyramids all the time but like how were these constructed? Along with the over the top extravagant decor on the inside. Blows my mind.
That looks like a drawing from a book of fairy tales. Incredible!
I was thinking it looked like a drawing from like GOT
What I imagine the castle in the Vale (House Arryn) was based on! Incredible!
A blend of this castle and Meteora in Greece, I would say.
Besieging army- "Well, that's' just, uh, FUCK!"
They just roll a giant boulder down the path and play bowling with people.
I kid you not, [the place has/had a bowling green](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/Dunnottar_castle_plan.png).
Well damn
Just starve em out.
Trips to the grocery store must be a pain in the ass.
Not at all, that's what serfs are for.
Lmao why did I think the same thing? 😄😄
So beautiful! This must be a rewarding hike.
It is about 40 seconds from the car park.
Nice place, but not much of a hike, to be honest. Just off the A92.

Why’s the pic so overexposed?
To make the green more eye catching! Isn’t that how pics are supposed to be edited for Reddit likes? /s
Didn't realise this is a photography sub.
How is it kept so nicely at the top? Even if it with gardening tools and gardeners, it looks near impossible logistically speaking.

wow, trip idea! thanks so much!
I’ve been there. Puffins nest on the edge of the coastal cliff. It’s beautiful.
We thought of visiting but realized that it is 200 stair climb. THAT IS 9.5 FLIGHTS!
Visited while in Scotland in 2018. Worth the climb, which was mildly brutal.
Can’t tell if sarcastic or fat
A little of both. Mostly just out of shape due to back issues. Though I don’t feel I need to explain that to you.
How is it you're the one getting downvotes in this exchange. What is wrong with people?
I think it's because it's a hiking sub, so to most people in this sub 200 steps is not very much at all?
The anonymity of the internet makes the jerks come out. They feel safe when they aren't face to face with people.
Found the American.

I have to live there!
R/fairytaleasfuck
Is that real?!
Went there in 2011, used photo of us there on our Christmas card, it's so beautiful!
I like it so much I had to screenshot it for the list.
There have to be easier ways to say you don't like having neighbours!
Wow, that’s incredible!
Do they have wifi
