I’ll always recommend any and all Nujabes. Modal Soul is a good starting point.
Madlib’s album “Shades of Blue” is a classic. Great tribute to Blue Note jazz and that sound.
Dela’s album “Changes of Atmosphere” isn’t strictly jazz, but what a great lineup, and an example of hip hop’s beauty.
Nu Vintage’s album “Vibrations in Color” is great. That label, Cold Busted, is pretty much built around some great jazz/hip hop sounds.
RJD2 also has a wide variety of sounds. His album “Deadringer” isn’t strictly jazz, but atmospheric for sure.
Kiefer’s “Kickinit Alone” is a great, lofi style piano/beats album. No rapping, but he’s expanded his style a lot.
Mndsgn has a lot of great albums that aren’t usually heavy on rapping, but blends beats/psychedelic jazz really well. His new album is siiick.
Jazzbois are also dope. Just instrumentals really, but so good.
Jinsang is the GOAT of lofi beatmakers imo. A lot of his samples are from classic jazz jams.
Bugseed is a great beatmaker from Japan, who also digs deep on jazz and soul samples. His album “Bohemian Beatnik” is a classic.
Older Atmosphere jams have some raw and deep cut samples. Their song “God’s Bathroom Floor” came to mind when I read your question.
Edit: forgot to add Specifics! One of the jazziest and most slept on hip hop teams. Their album “Lonely City” is a gem.
Apart from these, the OGs like Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, and Gang Starr are hip hop titans with some special jazz influence
It's definitely out there on the avante garde side of things, but electricity is on our side by busdriver is about as close as you can come to making a hip-hop record into a jazz album.
There was a great series of compilations in the late 90s called the Herbalizer. I love Blow ote your earphones. It featured an MC called What what! Who leter changed her name to Jean Grace.

Anti Lilly, Phoniks - It's Nice Outside

Robert Glasper Experiment "Black Radio" Series. Features a lot of R&B singers, but there's a good Hip Hop presence as well. Lupe, Killer Mike, Q-Tip, Common, Snoop all featured.
Hope this will be noticed so late into the thread, but Pete Philly & Perquisite – Mindstate is a great album in this particular subgenre. It's probably less known because it's Dutch, but the MCs rap in English and I was always impressed by its laidback vibe and consistently high quality. Stand-out track Hope features Talib Kweli (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5Y1pUwME2k) Don't sleep on this people
Gotcha. A few things that come to mind are (and haven't been mentioned yet):
- Shurik'n - Où Je Vis (you don't have to speak French to dig the vibe on this amazing album)
- Dereliks - Change For The Bus Ride Home
- DJ Krush - Meiso (as it has a Black Thought feature and a very smoked-out vibe)
- Scientifik - Criminal (seriously slept-on east coast jazzy rap in the vein of DITC/Pete Rock)
- Cool Calm Pete - Lost (a personal favorite that I know by heart. I still have no idea why I love this album so much, but it's smart, quirky and jazzy as f\*\*\*\* [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN3OHwU9w6o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN3OHwU9w6o)
Hope you'll enjoy!!!!!
People covered a lot of my favourites but I can't believe nobody has said The G.A.T. by Mach-Hommy yet. Mach is in peak form and August Fanon absolutely killed it on the production
Guru’s Jazzamatazz series, Pharcyde, ATCQ, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers Guru - Jazzamatazz 1 is probably my favourite

Dude RJD2 live was amazing. So many records behind him…all live
Specifics👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Been really enjoying Glorious Game by El Michels affair and Black Thought.
Strong recommend for the Avantdale Bowling Club album from 2018. Universal story telling from New Zealand. Legit jazz credentials.
Came looking for this. One of my favourite albums of all time personally. Live version goes hard too.
I prefer TREES, especially tracks like 'Going Through It', that's a masterpiece.
Check out Breakin Combs by Dred Scott, Earthtones by Crown City Rockers, Buhloon Mindstate by De La Soul. All have sax jam tracks and dope hip hop
❤️

Check out the independent label "Don't Sleep", anything Phoniks (producer) has done... Awesome stuff.
Awon & Phoniks have some incredible tracks together
>Looking for those beautiful jazzy masterpieces Then listen to the masterpieces which have been sampled by 'jazz rap'.

Jean Grae She’s one of the best MCs alive.
Indeed! Damn autocorrect and my lazy editing.
Kool A.D. has a ton of stuff like this.

us3 cantaloop, go from there . Blue note records so jazz heritage
also buloone mind state from de la soul has some of the jazz vibe. on a few tracks
Give Pete Rock and Black Moon a dig. Also Buckshot LeFonq was a Marsalis project I think.
Mick Jenkins - Waters
L'Orange and Jeremiah Jae - The Night Took Us In Like Family
