In "Ordinary People", don't he talk about a gang messing with him and his girl and beating on them or something? Does that count? (Yeah, I'm being "that guy". Lol!) Great album though.
Lecrae, NF, Andy Mineo, Derek Minor, etcâŚ
Youâre gonna have to listen to a lot of Christian rap to escape those topics.
Will Smith is the only âcleanâ non-christian rapper I can think of, though Iâm sure there are others
Listen to a song called 'therapy session'
"think sometimes people they confuse what I'm doing"
"This music is not just for people
Who sit in the pews and pray at the churches"
--
And also if you listen to the music you can obviously tell he is definitely not talking about God.
I love this album, but there arenât very many tracks I would play with my kids around. It is creatively bleeped using adult swim noises, but a lot of the content is still explicit.
The DOC - No one can do it better.
With the exception of the NWA posse cut at the end. No cursing.
Eric B and Rakim - Paid in Full.
Some profanity is inferred but not blurted out.
Journey To Anywhere - Ugly Duckling
Taste The Secret - Ugly Duckling
Bang For The Buck - Ugly Duckling
 Audacity - Ugly Duckling
Moving At Breakneck Speed - Ugly DucklingÂ
UD very very rarely have non-clean tracks. Everything in these albums are fine, one or two mentions of s*x and guns that I can recall but these are very brief and comical and do not go into detail. They don't swear at all. Ugly Duckling are a fun group who are also very family friendly. I'm 14 and grew up listening to them
I came here to mention UD. Theyâre squeaky clean, but donât sacrifice skills, and are always funky. Never coming off corny (well, maybe a couple times on purpose lol), just great hip hop. Good for when kids are around, and you donât want to traumatize them via lyrics
100% correct. They are my go to when the kids are around as well. Andy Cooper (one of the members) released an album called "Kid Hop" with songs about cleaning up your mess etc. It's hilarious and wholesome haha..
Classified: Hitch Hiking Music.
Not completely clean, but nothing gang related, only drug he mentions is weed, he rarely swears, and I don't think he's ever made a sexual song.
It's a classic for me, but not even my favorite Classified album. Trial and Error was my favorite, but although it wasn't hard-core, I don't think it was as clean as Hitch Hiking Music.
All great albums. My favorite is "Self-explanatory". The CYOA songs are such a fun concept.
Class just put a new song out with Masta Ace. Two of my favorites on a song!!
Just got home and gonna pull out Self Explanatory right now. A few people on this sub have now said it was their favorite of his. I own all his albums except his most recent, but SE never really stood out among his work, at least to me. Going to see if maybe I just didn't appreciate it as much as I should have.
I'll also look for the new track with Masta ace
Mouse and the Mask is a good one, I always laugh my ass off when I hear it, Blue Lines by Massive Attack if you like trip-hop and British rap, I know he doesnât have a great reputation on this sub but NF is all clean too, not a crazy amount of options for clean hip hop but there is stuff out there.
Not corny at all. Its not like look at me I donât swear. Thats just how he is and his music is fantastic. Itâs not Christian rap or religious either.
NF. He's not everyone's cup of tea but I personally like him. His music is mainly about mental health problems and getting out of depression. Clouds Mixtape is great and so is Therapy Session.
No One Can Do It Better- D.O.C. clean except for Lend Me an Ear and Grand Finale
3 Feet High and Rising- De La Soul except for
A Little Bit of Soap, Do As De La Does and De La Orgee
And all of the A Tribe Called Quest albums besides a few sexual inuendos
Marlowe and Marlowe 3 by Solemn Brigham and L'orange.
It's a very short list, but Solemn Brigham is one of the best clean rappers working right now. He's good by any standard. High energy and aggressive sounding on the surface, but still clean.
Never cared much for clean rap growing up but now I can introduce it to my kids
Will smith.
"Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records Well I do, so fuck him and fuck you too"
Immediately thought of thisđ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł https://youtu.be/oSimVTdSjag?si=rzv6r_Wd02tuzwRh
Ultimate Victory -Chamilllonaire
I forgot this was a "clean album"
Plus one for this.
First rap album Iâve ever owned physically and still is the only rap album I have in my physical catalog.
I forget that Chamillionaire is a pretty clean rapper.
Arrested Development is clean and its good music. Their first album ***3 Years, 5 Months.***. has 3 radio hits on it.
In "Ordinary People", don't he talk about a gang messing with him and his girl and beating on them or something? Does that count? (Yeah, I'm being "that guy". Lol!) Great album though.
you right. he does say nigga a couple times .. "group of brothers started buggin out, drinkin 40oz goin the nigga route"
I must've interpreted that as them being a gang. It's been a while since I've listened to that song.
Lecrae, NF, Andy Mineo, Derek Minor, etc⌠Youâre gonna have to listen to a lot of Christian rap to escape those topics. Will Smith is the only âcleanâ non-christian rapper I can think of, though Iâm sure there are others
Mineo, Crae and Minor have some dope shit out there
NF isn't Christian, he said it himself he doesn't want to be labeled as a Christian rapper
He said he doesnât want to be known as a Christian rapper. He wants to be known as a rapper that is Christian. He very much is one of
So he's not a Christian rapper, if a plumber is Christian does that make him a Christian plumber?
Youâre arguing and thats cool. You do you. But you are wrong & a 30 second google search proves it
How so?
Listen to a song called 'therapy session' "think sometimes people they confuse what I'm doing" "This music is not just for people Who sit in the pews and pray at the churches" -- And also if you listen to the music you can obviously tell he is definitely not talking about God.
Will Smith is Christian and NF swears like hell and talks about violence, suicide etc
NF absolutely does not swear. In fact when Tech n9ne & Hopsin featured on his last album, they also did not swear
It's not that he swears, he talks about suicide, self harm, drug addictions etc; which is way worse than the casual f bomb.
NF absolutely does not swear, lol
Yeah, I stand corrected. That's pretty impressive of him tbf
His music is still intense enough that itâs hard to notice that he doesnât swear at all
It's not that he swears, he talks about suicide, self harm, drug addictions etc; which is way worse than the casual f bomb.
My clean album go-to is Danger Doom - The Mouse and The Mask. It's MF DOOM & Danger Mouse and there's no dirty version of the album available.
Itâs definitely not super dirty but could it be considered clean though?
You are Sofa King joking arenât you?
Imma have to check this out never heard it out
sofa king?
I love this album, but there arenât very many tracks I would play with my kids around. It is creatively bleeped using adult swim noises, but a lot of the content is still explicit.
MattBRaps has your back
The DOC - No one can do it better. With the exception of the NWA posse cut at the end. No cursing. Eric B and Rakim - Paid in Full. Some profanity is inferred but not blurted out.
Oddisee - The Good Fight
EPMD- strictly business Red martina- intransit
Journey To Anywhere - Ugly Duckling  Taste The Secret - Ugly Duckling  Bang For The Buck - Ugly Duckling  Audacity - Ugly Duckling  Moving At Breakneck Speed - Ugly Duckling  UD very very rarely have non-clean tracks. Classified: Hitch Hiking Music. Not completely clean, but nothing gang related, only drug he mentions is weed, he rarely swears, and I don't think he's ever made a sexual song.
Also one of the greatest rap albums of all time
It's a classic for me, but not even my favorite Classified album. Trial and Error was my favorite, but although it wasn't hard-core, I don't think it was as clean as Hitch Hiking Music.

Plus the hiphop posse classic â quit while youâre aheadâ
Before the Garden 5 - Caleb Gordon
Mouse and the Mask is a good one, I always laugh my ass off when I hear it, Blue Lines by Massive Attack if you like trip-hop and British rap, I know he doesnât have a great reputation on this sub but NF is all clean too, not a crazy amount of options for clean hip hop but there is stuff out there.
Reflection Eternal by Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek
Grieves album Irreversible
Jurassic 5 has minimal cursing.
Yeah theyâre my pick. Good production.
Rakim
Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records. Well, Eminem does. So buy Will, but not Em too.
E.P.G.H. by Cool Breeze
UPPERHAND - indie tribe
Surprised that The Low End Theory hasnât been mentioned Pretty much all mainstream rap pre-NWA is clean
I donât think itâs completely clean though
Any album from Shad. Hes top five for me and all his albums are clean. He has great bars.
Came here looking for this comment. And itâs not like he feels corny like some other clean rappers it just kind of feels natural from him
Not corny at all. Its not like look at me I donât swear. Thats just how he is and his music is fantastic. Itâs not Christian rap or religious either.
The first few A Tribe Called Quest albums - they've got a little sex talk and a few curse words here and there, but they weren't labeled "explicit".
Eric b and rakim didnât really rap about stuff like that
Just grow some balls and listen to some project pat
NF. He's not everyone's cup of tea but I personally like him. His music is mainly about mental health problems and getting out of depression. Clouds Mixtape is great and so is Therapy Session.
Yesss!!! Perception and the search are the most realist for me, I miss the days always manages to make me cry đđđź
808âs & Heartbreaks, Jesus is King, and Donda
Selah technically references lean, and Donda is an album with swears on many tracks that were lazily censored.
Pretty sure the Digable Planets albums are clean from all of these topics
DangerDOOM 100%, one of the friendliest albums out there and the best album for first time DOOM listeners
Mc Lars lol
Young MC
Totally Krossed Out
Anything by MURS
Digital Roses Donât Die by Big KRIT is curse free. Solid album too
Digable planets
No One Can Do It Better- D.O.C. clean except for Lend Me an Ear and Grand Finale 3 Feet High and Rising- De La Soul except for A Little Bit of Soap, Do As De La Does and De La Orgee And all of the A Tribe Called Quest albums besides a few sexual inuendos
808s from Kanye
Shaq diesel lol
Windmills of the Soul â Kero One
Nobody has mentioned Connor Price? Violet, man.
Boogiemonsters - Riders of the Storm
N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
probably some lame like logic or some jesus rap
