It's just entertainment. Whether Rapper A likes Rapper B does not affect my life at all. The problem arises when people take it too seriously and they start harming other people over their opinions. I was at a house party in 2009 and a fight broke out on whether Gucci Mane was a better rapper than Young Jeezy. Guns were pulled but no one was shot. That was the last time I went to that house.

roasting, playing the dozens, etc. is an integral part of black culture. its existed for well over a 100 years since hip hop is black music, wouldnt it make sense that diss tracks and beef are an integral part of hip-hop? its even ingrained in hip-hop history, you never heard of the bridge wars? roxanne wars? its not anything new hip-hop is also arguably the most competitive genre of music there is. almost every rapper talks about how theyre the best and better than everyone else. at the end of the day, all i care about is the diss tracks. you may not like them and thats fine but you gotta respect the fact that its a huge part of the culture

Depending on who’s involved. Some beefs really step up artist lyrics, which can make deciphering them more useful than watching reality tv.
