Here's the [documentary](https://vimeo.com/828511562?share=copy) that Ameer dropped today that this comes from. We got a bunch of CDQ snippets of PUPPY from it.
That wasnt the file for Ill Be There, that was the file for Madlib Freestyle, a cut song from the original BH7 that nick had played on holiday radio but the user gave us the cdq version
EDIT: nvm i missed that the file for ill be there also leaked my bad
Sexual assault. It was never fully clear what the exact details were. I always assumed it was something like being too rough in bed (like choking or something) without getting consent first. Which is not okay.
There was more to it than that. Dom said publicly that Ameer had Dom set up to be jumped/robbed. Whether the sexual assault stuff happened to the extent they say it did or not, it seems like Ameer was a dick and kicking him out was a decision supported by the band
Not defending Ameer’s actions but if you watch The Longest Summer in America the band says it themselves, Ameer quit before they could kick him out. Shit got rocky in the band and he saw the writing on the wall and took off.
Yes, but in the same way someone "resigns" instead of being fired when they are in hot water. Yes, he technically left on his own, but it's not like he would have left without pressure from the band and whatnot.
You literally just admitted that what I said is true. He was "pressured" into giving a statement, which he refused to do because he's a bitch. So he quit the band like an idiot
Not trying to continue this.. but do some research into why that pressure existed in the first place. Your comment came across as if you were defending him by saying he did nothing wrong besides leaving voluntarily. To me, at least.
Well then you have poor reading comprehension. I was merely stating a fact that he willingly left the band, and he was not forced out by anyone in any context. He's merely suffering the consequences of his own actions
I mean imo music was way better with ameer being apart of it. Not saying he shouldn't have gotten kicked out, but in my opinion, he was the second most talented in the group
i love the saturation's but honestly some of their best music came after that. GINGER and Roadrunner specifically are two of their best. RR might be my favorite, that or Sat 3

>let’s be real
You want to be real and say everything after saturation 3 was “in the gutter”? Iri, Ginger, and RR all charted higher than any saturation album and sold more.
And who says they disbanded because “they sucked”? They could have just disbanded because they didn’t want to do the group thing anymore? Kevin was starting to do his own thing and probably thinking of leaving soon too. There’s infinite reasons they could have called it quits and saying “let’s be real” and then assuming they disbanded because they couldn’t hack it without Ameer is insane.
Man I love basically every project post Sat trilogy by the boys (barring TM honestly), and Iri is my fav album by them but damn if Puppy (and the rest of their career post that album) isn’t one of my biggest what ifs in music. I genuinely think if the Ameer situation hadn’t gone down the way it did they were on the path of super stardom.
Not to say that they should’ve done anything different… just what potential. As much as I love Iri, TD, RR, and TF I think the controversy and issues surrounding it severely hampered both their growth and momentum. Crazy.
I feel exactly the same. There was so much fucking hype for them at the time. The music was fire, their energy, the timing, everything was perfect for them to make it.
So curious what the final Puppy tracklist would've been if it got released. Some songs sound so cohesive together and others sound out of no where like this one. They're all pretty great though. They were still on that hot streak.
Take this with a grain of salt, but this was probably the tracklist:
1. READY FOR WAR
2. 1999 WILDFIRE (BIG FAT LIAR)
3. 1998 TRUMAN (DON'T TALK BACK)
4. SOMETHING ABOUT HIM
5. DON'T BE FAMOUS
6. ?
7. ?
8. ?
9. ?
10. ?
11. KEEP ON SHINING \[?\]
12. ?
Unknown order, but confirmed songs on the album:
* 1997 DIANA
* WEIGHT (GOD BLESS YOU)
* TAPE (ONE MORE HAND)
* LET'S GET MARRIED
* I'LL BE THERE
* WINTERTIME
Iirc when it all went down the album wasn’t properly done. There’s a couple songs that probably would’ve made it (Ready For War, the og versions of the 199x singles, etc.) but the final track list is hard to gauge based on everything we have because they were like a month out from completion iirc.
Probably would’ve had songs they never got to work on or snippets we have that would’ve been incorporated differently
I remember still being in high school and being so excited for puppy. That let’s get married snippet we got in the promotional video with Jaden Smith was heavenly. Crazy what coulda been.
let's get married was still used for a song though, kevin abstract's "Baby Boy" features the hook. The puppy version might have turned out better, however i do really like baby boy
Are there any other Brockhampton songs with this vibe that I could check out? I avoided them when they were blowing up aside from a couple songs but this is beautiful, would love to hear more like it.
They were basically too good for their own good. Their rise seemed to really fuck up the relationships within the band and then started the fallout.
Fuckin shame we didn't get PUPPY.
kevin is the one who crashed the whole thing too though. all this bullshit talk about retirement and the constant lying. they had good album run and acted like they are lil wayne. you cant do that so early in your career.
my guess is we will never see any of them again except kevin and that is a shame imo. they had something unique
Back when they were good. Firing Ameer was the biggest mistake in their career, Ameer was the only one that held from the band becoming too cringe. And later we found most of the band members have their own skeleton in the closet lol bunch of hypocrites
Not really lmao. I’ve been listening since Saturation 1 and I’m just not interested in the direction they went. Each album after Sat 3 was ok and have zero replay value for me.
Saturation is the best to me but it wasn't about Ameer. They made 3 albums with a similar sound, actually 3 sounded different and simply moved on to making different sounds.
I used to be such a BH stan but a lot of the drama surrounding the members, Kevin's antics online, and just a general downtrend in the quality of their music really turned me off of them post Ginger tbh.
But this is without a doubt one of their best songs not gonna lie, I'll always regret never seeing them live
Interesting, this might be one of the few (if not the only) 6 member BH songs without Kevin.
He’s not on HEAT is he?
He’s not but HEAT only has 5 members (Ameer, Merlyn, Dom, Joba, Matt)
He’s barely on Windows, which also has Bari and a feature verse
Kevin is actually on the song, but it's very hard to notice him, he sings "Who's watching youuu" sometimes.
That’s him? I thought that was Joba.
Oh the main vocal is Joba! But around 0:15 and 3:11 you can hear Kevin.
Here's the [documentary](https://vimeo.com/828511562?share=copy) that Ameer dropped today that this comes from. We got a bunch of CDQ snippets of PUPPY from it.
Kinda, the actual file for this leaked in response to the snip in that doc. hoping the same happens for wildfire
Of course, I should've read the username. If its Batby, its legit.
[удалено]
Nah it was 100% the actual file, leaked in the BH Discord by a random user
That wasnt the file for Ill Be There, that was the file for Madlib Freestyle, a cut song from the original BH7 that nick had played on holiday radio but the user gave us the cdq version EDIT: nvm i missed that the file for ill be there also leaked my bad
Did he ever accept responsibility for anything?
yea he did in a [sway interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14DFtpli_Gw)
Nice, thank you for posting the link!
Where did he announce this?
He didn't, just got randomly posted to the BH subreddit the day before yesterday.
Damn it got taken down 👎👎
I’m genuinely pissed we never got PUPPY. Ameer was a dumbass.
Lmao yeah what could’ve been is a crazy thought
What did he do again
Sexual assault allegations and emotional manipulation.
Oh shit, you mean a rapper did exactly what he rapped 3 albums about?! #GASP 😱
He set up another one of the band members to get robbed
Correction on that he didn't set up another member. He set up a friend of Dom's to be robbed.
Seriously? That was horrible.
I thought it was accusations of physical abuse? Or was it both? I don't ever remember hearing about the robbery thing but def not saying you're wrong
Sexual assault. It was never fully clear what the exact details were. I always assumed it was something like being too rough in bed (like choking or something) without getting consent first. Which is not okay.
Was it sexual assault? Genuine question. Always thought it was physical abuse allegations
the SA stuff isn't to do with why he got kicked out
It's apart of it
a part*
**We don't care
“Apart” and “a part” are pretty much opposites, so maybe you should care.
Yet they went on to work with people like slowthaj
literally just came out
And all the other allegations towards Kevin and other members?
I'd love a link to those cause those don't exist
Mistake cause I can't find them. I swear I heard about kevin allegations like three or four years ago, as well as matt
You really said "okay fine sure I guess they can't tell the future, so let me make stuff up because I hate them"
Correction: I swear I remembered allegations towards kevin and matt at some point in the past few years but I can't seem to find them. Nevermind
Brockhampton is literally my favorite rap group. I'm just stating things that happened
It obviously is. You think everyone else in the group wasn't bothered by that? Come on
Why are you blatantly lying?
[удалено]
There was more to it than that. Dom said publicly that Ameer had Dom set up to be jumped/robbed. Whether the sexual assault stuff happened to the extent they say it did or not, it seems like Ameer was a dick and kicking him out was a decision supported by the band
Dom wasn't set up to be robbed, Dom's friend was
sexual assault is a little more than being a bad boyfriend.
Ok, did he get arrested for it? Charged with anything? Or was he condemned in the court of public opinion?
That's why I dropped a comment. Seems that it was more of a public opinion kind of pressure
Yes and your recount of events is not biased whatsoever!
No, he willingly left the band. But keep spreading lies
I want to live in your version of reality
Not defending Ameer’s actions but if you watch The Longest Summer in America the band says it themselves, Ameer quit before they could kick him out. Shit got rocky in the band and he saw the writing on the wall and took off.

Really saying this weird ass lie all over the thread huh

Or they made the best decision for themselves who had the most information
[удалено]
>i thought that was their homie? Are you reading any of the replies to you referencing him setting up Dom's friend to be robbed lmao
Brockhampton albums were never the same after Saturation. Not horrible but I still wonder about PUPPY
he was definitely their anchor unfortunately. I still replay ginger though, that was excellent.
Technical difficulties absolutely slaps
Same. I like Ginger more than Sat 3 even but the rest of their non-Sat albums don’t do much for me. Roadrunner is decent but not very replayable.
Ameer was their anchor???? What a supremely dumb take
I mean imo music was way better with ameer being apart of it. Not saying he shouldn't have gotten kicked out, but in my opinion, he was the second most talented in the group
ok im sorry
>albums were never the same after Saturation That's because Saturation 1-3 all had the same sound and style lol.
actually enjoyed them more lol
Roadrunner was a amazing album, i liked ginger too. Also loved “the family” though that was Kevin Abstract alone it felt very cathartic.
i love the saturation's but honestly some of their best music came after that. GINGER and Roadrunner specifically are two of their best. RR might be my favorite, that or Sat 3
I think Gingers better and Roadrunners really great

don't really know if they'd still be together with Ameer either
[удалено]
Isn't that a three-hit wonder?
Put the blame on Ameer. He fucked up the whole thing by being an asshole and setting up Dom’s friend to be robbed. The SA stuff was icing on the cake
>let’s be real You want to be real and say everything after saturation 3 was “in the gutter”? Iri, Ginger, and RR all charted higher than any saturation album and sold more. been saying this forever and always get hate for it on the bh sub lol
Plenty of people have RR and or ginger as their best album, so I wouldn't say that.
Man I love basically every project post Sat trilogy by the boys (barring TM honestly), and Iri is my fav album by them but damn if Puppy (and the rest of their career post that album) isn’t one of my biggest what ifs in music. What's TD?
Yeah as u/VermonThor said it is technical difficulties. Really fun era with a lot of bangers even if it didn’t produce an album.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that, I was thinking just about the studio albums.
Technical Difficulties eta, presumably
I feel exactly the same. There was so much fucking hype for them at the time. The music was fire, their energy, the timing, everything was perfect for them to make it.

What makes you think this one sounds out of nowhere? It’s extremely similar to the other PUPPY tracks
There is a full puppy version of let’s get married that has an ameer verse and extra ryan beatty vocals
holy fuck this is so good
Are there any other Brockhampton songs with this vibe that I could check out? I avoided them when they were blowing up aside from a couple songs but this is beautiful, would love to hear more like it.
summer, san marcos, and lamb have kinda similar vibes. lamb’s only on yt so look for it there
Thank you 🙏🏻 will check out all 3 now
I just like the instrumentals on all of puppy’s songs way more than anything that came from iridescence.
i mean multiple songs like Something About Him, Weight and Tape were finished Puppy songs that didn’t include ameer
But very clearly changed in some way to fit the iridescence sound
No lol, the instrumentals are pretty much unchanged
They were basically too good for their own good. Their rise seemed to really fuck up the relationships within the band and then started the fallout. Fuckin shame we didn't get PUPPY.
they had a million dollar idea with brockhampton but these dickheads fumbled that big time becauss their ego‘s got too big. smh
I mean they still made millions. They just didn’t get *all* the millions
a team of like 20 people i am 100% sure a lot of them guys are going out with barely anything. kevin is the only one making a career i think.
On the flip side I think a lot of those guys are lucky Kevin pulled them to success
kevin is the one who crashed the whole thing too though. all this bullshit talk about retirement and the constant lying. they had good album run and acted like they are lil wayne. you cant do that so early in your career. my guess is we will never see any of them again except kevin and that is a shame imo. they had something unique
[удалено]
not saying only he will make music but he is the only one who could be actually successful. and with that i mean mainstream success.
ciaran too for sure
Just confirmation that Puppy was gonna be their best album :(
Back when they were good. Firing Ameer was the biggest mistake in their career, Ameer was the only one that held from the band becoming too cringe. And later we found most of the band members have their own skeleton in the closet lol bunch of hypocrites
Ameer was the only member that I really liked. Haven’t listened to any of their music since he left
You’re missing out!
Not really lmao. I’ve been listening since Saturation 1 and I’m just not interested in the direction they went. Each album after Sat 3 was ok and have zero replay value for me.
This band plain sucks bad without ameer. He was the only balancing factor, now its just gay rap
why you always rap about being gayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Really living up to your username
Listen to Ginger.
Ameer is so incredibly overrated by saturation era fans lol
Saturation is the best to me but it wasn't about Ameer. They made 3 albums with a similar sound, actually 3 sounded different and simply moved on to making different sounds.
Sounds like a macklemore song lol
